No shame in that. It was real. Brought back almost every loss I’ve ever had, and at 50, I’m afraid to say that I have more loved ones under the earth than on it, sadly.
Before I saw this (and we just got access to it in the US), I felt that nothing would top the last few moments of MASH. This did the job.
(And I agree with the choice of using Bob Dylan for the score)

Such a touching, heartbreaking ending. Seeing Meena with a beautiful smile, and one by one all going til Isa, and finally Bobby- just a bit teary each time I watch it, not just the first time.
One other thing, you see the younger people moving in the background- they'll be the elderly some day, and for example Mick in the library: I'd like to think that someday he'll have a Jack or a Victor or Winston to keep him going when he's that age.

Lived in few city's of Europe (not mentioning them as don't want to be opinionated) in my life and lived in Glasgow for a few years, never had a place made feel at home as Glaswegian's did, a bit rough city but warm hearted people, i always regret leaving but had to and a piece of my heart is left in that city.
I'm a big fan of sitcom's and i use to watch Only fools and horses and this sitcom came up as a choice to watch to me a couple of years ago and started watching it, not that it related to me as I'm on my 40's but it reminded me of Glasgow.
I have watched all episodes over and over again and love the humour but this 3 minutes made really cry like they were my family members disappearing.
This sitcom was written from the heart

I recommend watching it. The episode before is about Winston's wedding and to see them going from having such a great time to dying is the most soul destroying thing ever.
Red Dead Redemption II is also a very good game with a phenomenal story and I highly recommend getting it. If you're not a gamer, I recommend watching a playthrough on TH-cam or sitting with a family member or friend as they play it (That's how my Mum took in the story, she loved it)

For awhile I have been studying Philosophy, in particular Stoicism. Stoics (like Aurelius and Seneca) taught that everyone you know and love will die. (And of course you will die too). Instead of thinking of this as the worst thing ever they say strive to do good things every day while you have time on earth! All the characters in Still Game did exactly that. There are so many examples, like when Boaby and the Craig Ferguson character's car plunges into the canal and Jack and Victor just hurl themselves into the canal too. That's friendship (even though comically they were no help). How about when everyone talked Navid out of burning down the superstore? I could go on and on. It's almost like Stoic Philosophy was behind the entire series. The final scene is the truth, "Memento Mori" (Remember, you will die). Thank you Yangy for your part in doing good things with your time on earth, by sharing your talents and this beautiful scene with us. It is art.
