After I have listened to 10 of your stories I have came to the conclusion that your voice definitely makes these stories so much more. Way to go J.D. Please keep up the great work. A fan from New Brunswick, Canada 🇨🇦. Right where the Appalachian Mountains start way up north down south to the most unique people and places on God's great green earth. God bless.
I really enjoyed this! This is about my family and we still live on the farm where all of these events took place. I remember my grandmother telling me about her uncle getting shot and killed at the church along with other bits and pieces of the story.
Any historical story teller, in order to captivate the audience and bring the story to life that person Must have your voice, JD. No other will do. I have heard others try to read or tell a story and sadly they are nothing less than totally boring and soon folks are turning a 'deaf' ear to the voice. You have NO competition! 😄
wow! What an amazing comment! Thank you so much, email me your address and ill send you a free appalachian storyteller sticker theappalachianstoryteller@gmail.com
I personally can not listen to even the most interesting story if the narration is bad. Despite how much I want to hear the story. The narration, full of emotion and meaning, and the story being written the same way (rather than as if from a text book), are the only reasons I subscribed. Seemingly simply yet surprisingly rare.
I also shared this with my uncle on Facebook. He is one hell of a violin, banjo Well hes very musically talented. I would love going to my Grandma's Uncle stayed with her on a farm in very small town in Edna Kansas ( 2020 census population 388 ) He still lives there. I loved listen to him play

I loved your statement, “I love it here it’s my home nothing fancy but it’s all I need. And I’m thank god every day for it.” That’s me about my 110 year old house I live in. It’s been in my family since 1967 and it’s in need of several repairs. But the roof is in good repair and it’s dry inside. That’s all I need. I don’t want a big house. The bigger it is, the more there is to keep clean. 😊😊
The Law sure dropped the ball here!! I thought we were bad today!! Thanks JD for an excellent story and letting us know what it was like back then👍🏻 Tragic story of what anger and unforgiving temperaments get ya !
You're an excellent story teller! I've subscribed. Will be binge watching today while I do my work! Thanks so very much. I love old stories like this. You don't film yourself or drive for half the video, your narration is smooth and nice to listen to. Finding these made my day!!!!
