Most youtubers don’t disclose their earnings because it is against TH-cam policy to show how much you earn. However if you show estimated earnings (like in this video) you can get away with it

Are You implying that people are not honest if they just don't want to show how much they earn? That's not logical. They are just as honest. If You had used the word "open" about it or "transparent" I would agree but saying people who are keen on privacy are not honest is flawed logic. You do not have to share every detail of Your private life on internet. You can chose to simply have a role and discuss Your hobbies and only that part of Your life without necessarily having to give out everything. Tbh what anyone earns is non of our business unless they are public figures like Politicians as they are paid with our tax money. Other than that it's peoples own choice to share or not share whatever they see fit. They are not dishonest or having something to hide. Just their choice not ours.
In fact there are plenty of reasons not to give out too many details on internet. Scammers, gold diggers, criminal hackers, psychpaths that might stalk You at Your home, death threats. Having other family members, kids, wife, husband etc that do not want to get dragged into this life. The list can go on.

Using your ultra-viral video as an example is key too. This shows the financial potential of being a career TH-camr. This video will likely go viral too, as it should, especially being probably the only one sharing this info. Good for you brother! Keep up the good work.

Each channel gets paid differently, depends entirely on which ads are playing/quanity of views, popularity etc. Music channels more than likely get paid more given they would attract more viewership than say a cooking channel.
To be honest, that shouldn't come off as crazy. That video is THE most popular video on THE most popular website(behind google). You would expect a video with that much reach to have EXTREMELY valuable add space.

Believe it or not this video actually made me disable my ad blocker for TH-cam. I spend a lot of time watching free entertainment on TH-cam and I follow a good number of channels. I Knew they made their income from ads but it never really triggered me to do my part until I watched this. I can suffer through a few ads for quality entertainment that I CHOOSE to watch... unlike TV where you're stuck watching whatever is on and the ads take up 25% of every episode.
If you wanna make a difference just send them (most youtubers have some sort of donation link) like 5$. That's the add revenue for 2k views (so you can watch 2000 videos without watching ads, lol).
Take a shot every time he says money or dollars.
