    This is proving to be the best tutorial I've found. I've used full blown Acad for 23 years and was finding the transition difficult till now. Thank you.

    Hello, I don't usually comment on youtube at all, but I wanted to thank you for sharing your guide. Your video is valuable not only because there is little material about Solid Edge, but also because it's pretty well made :) Thanks again!

      Could you tell me how you got 22 at 9:55 ? The only calculation i got is 17 in the center but I dont know how did you know to add 5 ? Without this information I follow your way from 1st verison of this exercise where you made extra plane but method form 2nd version is quicker.

      @@mikesanderson5325 Actually, any dimension between 17 and 27 should work. I chose 22 to be in the middle and make sure I have solid contact. This way, you do not need actual calculations and the part will be finished without any problem.

    I like the style of your instructions. I had to replay various segments of the video just to figure out what option you clicked along the toolbar. THEN, I replayed the same segments to figure out what I did wrong. However, near the end of the video, I finish the object without the video played in the background. I will follow through your other videos. Eventually, I hope to get to a video where you edit an attribute of a finished object.

    Dear Dr. Mohammed, Thanks for sharing those videos, Can you please create a video explaining the difference between SE 2022 and the new SE 2023, I used to be able to work on SE using my SW and Inventor Experience, but now I find it very difficult, I use Se to create a basic geometry to run CFD using FloEFD.

    FYI - I don't know if this is a Community Edition thing or just an update since this was posted, the "Draw" area with "Line" and "Circle by Center point" is now in the "Features" tab (not home) and renamed to Sketch.
    Had to pause at the very first instruction cause I couldn't find it. Not the tutorials fault, either a CE thing or just the devs moving the UI around for no reason other than to make tutorials outdated

    I have a question. Does Solid Edge has a editable cross section? What I mean that I would like to create stuff that they are inside let say a valve and I need to do some brackets and holes inside that valve. Most of the cad programs that I know can split the part in half or any other place that it will be easy to start sketching. Im new to this program but that what they want me to use.

    Complimenti per i video, ho scaricato e installato solid edge da poco, e non riesco ad avere on punto di cattura sull'origine degli assi come si vede nei suoi video ha qualche consiglio da darmi? indicarmi o se devo abilitare qualche impostazione?
    La rigrazio.

    What do you call that object and what can it be used for ?

    • @drmseif
      @drmseif  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I call it intermediate shaft support. It is used when you have a long shaft that needs support to minimize its vibration or increase its overall stiffness (natural frequency).

    How to edit sketch and protrusion in solidedge like creo ??

      This will be answered soon by showing how to edit any modeling (done using any software, and not only Solid Edge).

    What is the difference between solidedge and SOLIDWORKS?

    • @peterllewellyn8191
      @peterllewellyn8191 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ahmednessim4429
      The main difference is the synchronous capabilities that Dr. Seif is sharing on this channel. No other product has the ability to create or edit in this manner.
      (1) Modeling is face centric not sketch dependent (saved to a node for later if needed)
      (2) Features can be rearranged to without destroying the integrity of the model
      (3) IN a synchronous assembly, you can select multiple faces within several parts of that assembly and move at the same time. No need to IPA in each part.
      (4) Parasolid kernel will remain our core geometry engine.
      (5) Solid Edge can open any file directly into synchronous.
      To illustrate the obvious production benefits of synchronous vs. ordered (history based) Please review this video:
      th-cam.com/video/3btbsY79iJc/w-d-xo.html
      For more information on Synchronous:
      solidedge.siemens.com/en/solutions/products/3d-design/synchronous-technology/
      Hope this helps,

      Really? Ansys SpaceClaim, IronCAD
      SpaceClaim is runs on ACIS kernel, IronCAD uses both ACIS & Parasolid.
