I always used a different way for glow effect to both the ones you mentioned. I have my text layer; Duplicate it; On the lower layer text, add effects: Colour Overlay = the colour I want my glow. Gaussian Blur = push up the radius. I find this gives a very nice effect 👍

My last attempts to reply with the link to my instagram images kept disappearing on my screen for some reason, so I am unsure you saw them. Anyhow, again a great video that filled some knowledge gaps and showed features of fx I had totally overlooked and/or forgotten.
Hi @arale1402, no problem! TH-cam might automatically filter out Instagram links, so perhaps that is why it disappeared. I'll try to get a form out by next Sunday and then discuss it on the livestream :)
I've only just upgraded from v1 to v2. I like the '+' to duplicate stack on layer effects. But, although the '+' symbol keeps on showing ability to add more, does it only actually display two? Example, adding the black outline layer effect to a star shape, then add another this time a red outline layer effect... When adding a third blue outline layer effect, that one doesn't actually show. It caps at two outlines. Is that the limit, or am I doing something wrong? Was thinking/hoping could add many many outline layers to create a nice colourful effect
Hi @mumfnah, Yes, you can add more that 2 outlines. However, the outlines appear exactly on top of each other. So, the top outlines will block out the lower outlines. The solution is to make the lower outlines thicker (bigger radius) so they will appear. Example: Top Outline : Radius 10px Middle Outline : Radius 20px Bottom Outline : Radius 30px Hope this helps!
