That 2014 Mustang has a better integrated instrument cluster than the 2024. The interior of the 2024 just seems like it was cobbled together without any attention to integrative thought. Definitely detracts from the higher price tags of today’s Mustang.

There was nothing ever cheap about buying a Mustang. Also, there’s a HUGE difference between cheap & cheapest. Cheap is a relative term that has no ceiling because it depends on the person. Cheapest has a definitive value because it’s the lowest price in that category.
@@gcmfskg once again, there was NOTHING ever cheap about buying a Mustang. I also don’t know what world you lived in but I lived in the real world where these cars were not affordable to all as you want to say. In 1964 a base Mustang cost $2,368. The average salary was $6,600. Also, minimum wage in 1964 was $1.15 an hour which equals $2,208 a year. That 64 mustang definitely wasn’t affordable for someone making minimum wage & if you were right at the average salary that would’ve been 36% of your salary which also isn’t very affordable for the average person. So like I said before, buying a Mustang was NEVER cheap.
Perfect timing - I have a 2018 GT Premium with PP1, 6 speed, Active Valve Exhaust and Magna Ride. A little over 60,000 miles. Stone cold love the car. @@Tazandd screens are dumb and no that's not a boomer take. Having a digital dash means there's bound to be bugs in the software and with the way software is made today, there will be LOTS of bugs and glitches. Nice upgrade! I used to have a 2014 5.0, had it for 5 years. Awesome car! Sold it to get a ZL1, and as much as I loved it, decided to sell it and get the last 2022 GT500 in the same Atlas Blue as your new 5.0! That color looks gorgeous in the sun! Congrats on the new car! Looking forward to lots of videos with it!
Cool new car. Congrats! Just hope that the lengthy delay for the screen to boot up is not a precursor of bad things to come. Personally, I prefer the old school interior of your old 2014 GT.
I love my ‘22 GT. I’m excited that Ford is investing in the future of the V8 for some more years. There’s two things I can’t get past on the one in the video. The first is the lack of a third pedal. I get resale but the trade off between the difference in price and the daily joy of changing gears just wouldn’t get me into an auto. Second, just not a fan of the screen in place of the gauge cluster. My dash is digital but it looks built in and the new one just looks a little out of place. However, nothing can take away from the sweet sound of Mustang firing up. Who needs a radio with that exhaust? I hope y’all enjoy yours half as much as I enjoy mine.
I ordered the exact same configuration for my new mustang last month, only added night pony for bigger wheels and painted roof with different headlights and black badges. Have some discounts b/c of company I work for but not as good as a deal as you guys got. Some things about this configuration I would like people to know. (Also grabber blue not the dark blue) 301A package which is 2k gives you the partial leather (vinyl) seats with driver electric and adds lumbar as well as 9 speaker audio (adds sub and a puller speakers). Gives you the heated seats and the duel zone climate control. I originally skipped this, but changed order to include because they are all nice to haves and can’t add cheap later. Active exhaust is worth every penny, 1.2k and bumps 480 hp to 486 hp. Looked on ford performance to add afterwards is more like 3k if you could even get the screen to show the buttons and features like starting in quiet mode. 10-speed auto, I drove this and it’s pretty good. Marginally better mpg. But really just works for my commute better, would love the stick just can’t justify it as my only car that the girl drives when needed. As for the brakes, the upgraded 6 piston brembos are huge and I do want them. But EcoBoost to GT gives you an upgrade of brakes (the baby brembos) as well as wider tires. I think this configuration is a great build on top of configuration, excited to see what y’all do!
You got the automatic?..... what a waste of money and a good engine. Like I said before, automatic Mustangs are for soccer moms ....or just moms in general. The men drive manuals, lol! That's like if I say "I really wanted a Ducati Panigale V4R, but my girlfriend doesn't like manuals, so I got a big moped because it's automatic is smooth and easy in case she wants to ride it". ..... yuck!!
I remember the very first car I ever bought with cash was a 2013 mustang GT…32k….oh how times have changed. That’s a crazy price hike for 10 years difference
The '24 GT has 480 HP std, and 486 with active exhaust. 2018 to '21 had 460-horse. 2022-'23 had 450-horse due to the carbon trap in the air intake tubing from the air filter box.
I hope so, sucks that Chevy and Dodge pussied out and bending the knee to the environmental liberal fascist lunatics. I've always been more of a Camaro fan but if Ford keeps the V8 Mustang going, I'll switch sides.
Everyone saying they should have got the manual should remember that the GT comes with the MT82, which is known to be a poor manual transmission. Ford needs to get rid of it and only use Tremec.
Three things on the MT82: I have the MT82 in my 2013 5.0. Still even has the original fluid. Still shifts like new and I like it a lot. It's not perfect but the aftermarket has some great upgrades. In fact there is some great builds that handles 1,000 to 2,000 horsepower reliably. There were some early issues back in mid 2010 (2011 MY), but no real issues since. The 2018 got an update with revised ratios (MT82 D4) and again, some early issues I'm aware of. It's the only manual I'm aware of from the factory that can reliably handle 800+ rwhp stock. Long term too. People complain about manual transmissions all the time. Even Challenger and Camaro owners have their fair share of failures and complaints with Tremec.
@@davidtennien39 Weird. I have a 2013 GT and it's been flawless too. If you ask people who haven't driven one or maybe went around the block, they are garbage. I have yet to personally come across an actual owner that has had complaints. Most early builds of anything can have issues.
@@davidtennien39 The fact that the Dark Horse comes with the Tremec indicates the MT-82 is not as good. There are still reports of lockout issues with the MT-82D4.
@@ryanm5626 The Tremec being available on a higher level model doesn't mean anything. Maybe people have issues because they don't know how to drive a manual. You ever think of that?
I hope you can do an immediate mileage test, and please get the oil from the first change reported on by a lab on possible contaminants. Love the paintwork. Are you going in for PPF or Ceramic coating? A video on paint prep and ceramic application DIY style would be awesome.
You shouldn't even bother testing mpgs until at least 3,000 miles. Btw, my 5.0 went from 17 mpg average at that point to 20 mpg by 6,000 miles. Not driving efficient of course.
What a great video you guys! Thanks for showing off your new Mustang. I love the colour you got, I would choose the same one for my car. The exhaust is incredible as well.
TFL stating this might be the last V8 they (being an automotive review site constantly buying new vehicle) ever buy made this hit a bit harder then the individual announcements of engine discontinuations; I always kept saying to myself “Oh, I guess I’m switching to the other manufacturer for a big N\A ICE” but this makes me realize there may not be any other manufacturers pretty soon 😢
@@angelgjr1999 Personally I am not super attached to this whole v8 thing being the be all end all, but I wanna adress this comment. That's not the same as car manufacturers making and mass producing such vehicles. Sure v8 will still exist, but nobody is buying and restoring old classics for cheap or getting them easily from others, so it is true that you won't see many more videos like this let alone make much more content with the previously mentioned alternative.
I’ll watch every video you make with this car, so please make plenty! You chose an excellent spec and color. That’s a Forever Car if I’ve ever seen one! Considering the fact that a used Dark Horse (or optioned out Premium Performance Pack) will still be over $42K three years from now when they’re on the used market with 50k miles, many of us will be shopping for these base models. I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on what higher trim features you might miss as you rack up the miles on this one (and HOPEFULLY slap on a few performance mods).
Great car. Great color. And, as said, everything you need and nothing you don't. What's not to like? And a discount, too. I would personally like an interior that's not black, but there's actually a lot of positives with the cloth seat centers, so I don't think that's in any way a deal breaker, and in Colorado I would think cloth seats are arguably a plus. Makes sense to get the auto given you don't plan to keep it long, etc. Congrats!
You'll regret trading your S197 lol. I love the solid rear axle and the muscle feel of it. The new ones are nice but they are just not the same. I also like the sound of the s197 more as well. Lastly, it's amusing how the S197 is still faster than the new ones because it weighs less and puts its power down better 😅
You would take a s197 over an s550. I’m shopping GT’s right now and I have about $25k to play with. I wanted the s550 for the suspension but it’s hard to find good low mileage examples for $20-25k and that’s ridiculous.
@larryzeldin7561 Any 2013 GT or 2014 I would pay 25K for any thing under 75,000 miles. I have 150,000 on a 2012 GT, only basic maintenance on time, uses 2 quarts of oil 🛢 between a 5,000 oil change
It is strange since before seeing this video I went to the Ford website trying to decide on what Mustang I wanted. Still undecided but I had picked that same configuration as yours, same color, etc. except a manual. Very interesting info about the discounts out there in CO. May be worth a trip out there for a $5K discount. Thanks for another great video. Looking forward to more content with the new Mustang.
I want to wait and break it in as he revs it to 6500 RPM's...... Love the color and the car and glad you added to the fleet. It is exactly how I'd want one equiped too. I also agree some meat on the sidewalls is good for most of us drive in cities and highways filled with potholes.
You'd be surprised how well wide tires float over most potholes. I have P255 40R19 tires on mine and the ride is still decent. The handling though is impressive for a street car.
Thanks for the video, I could never see myself selling that 2014 for that new one. Good to see a real world video and not a hype video for the new one. Definitely like the older gauges and interface better. A mustang has never had rectangles in its design language. That interior was a big mistake in my opinion. I think the blue was the best color.
I wonder how pleasant this car is had they maintained the s550 dashboard and place the " tablet " at the middle to retain the balance in look. Maintain the sporty toggle switches as well☺️.
Nice ride, love the color! The two big screens look a little awkward, but the sound makes up for any of those shortcomings haha. I'm just surprised that you got 20k for the 10-year-old trade-in. Great deal!
I ordered the exact same car in manual so I was looking for a good walkaround and came across this video. Feeling pretty excited already! Hope you enjoy it. Subscribed!
Congratulations on your new Mustang! 310 hp is plenty for me. I can't even max out the hp in my area. I'm sure that you'll put all of your hp to good use.
Fantastic. My 2019 GT manual might need an upgrade. I have been looking at my local dealer. The active exhaust is wild! Congrats, I'm looking forward to your future content with this vehicle.
You know, I’m still not sold on the two screens, but the longer I look at the exterior, the less I hate it. The Blue with black trim looks great in my opinion and I think a nice set of polished aluminum or even (gasp!) chrome wheels might be the ticket. FWIW I see a drag pack wheel and tire setup (skinnies up front and fatties in the rear) when I think of the polished aluminum setup but I realize how much that would compromise the dynamics of the car as far as content goes. I’ve had a 1987 Notch and a 2011 GT, I miss them both. Seeing this one has me nostalgic and itching to go build one online. Best of luck with the car and I’ll be patiently waiting for content with it!
I enjoy keeping up with the news in the automotive world and your latest insights on the 2024 Mustang GT got me thinking. The comment about the last drive and first drive are very true. I remember when I was ten years old and my parents bought a new car. The last drive in my parent’s 1954 Chevrolet Sedan was very sad day. Your articles and insight on the new vehicles entering the market are always interesting. When I was looking to replace my 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with one of the newer midsized pickups, I found your reviews helpful in making my final decision. During my research on the Toyota Tacoma, one complaint concerning the automatic transmission was that a lot of buyers did not like the shift points. This was not an issue with my 2004 Dodge Dakota because it was a driver adaptive transmission and the best automatic transmission I ever owned. It was also the most expensive to repair at $2500. As I considered the complaint with the Tacoma automatic transmission, I concluded that the engineers programmed the system for efficiency and not drivability which most likely lead to the complaints about shift points. This sealed my decision to search for a manual transmission Tacoma that was languishing on a dealer lot. In December of 2018 I found a new 2017 Tacoma Extended Cab 6 speed MT at the local Toyota dealership. I have to say that I was disappointed to see the new Mustang GT optioned with an automatic transmission for the various reasons: 1. Trade-in - Lame reasoning in my opinion 2. Members of video crew - teaching opportunity 3. Fuel efficiency - Real world conditions? 4. Performance - Maybe? 5. We review what most people will purchase. 6. As a businessman…go with an automatic. Unfortunately what I hear from many automotive experts is their love for manual transmission but a failure to support them by actually driving a manual transmission vehicle in a long term test. Many of the same excuses are echoed. The automatic transmission has come a long way but is also being programmed for efficiency and not drivability. The CVT, even though it is extremely efficient, was deemed as too droning by the American market. Subaru engineers have gone great lengths to design their CVT to act like an automatic transmission, with shift points as well as a seven speed manual mode, to appease buyers. Other automakers have also used shift points in CVT’s to appease the American market. What they are really doing is making the CVT less efficient to make it more like an automatic or manual transmission. Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, et al., even turned manual transmissions into an “automatic transmission” for the drivers that did not want to deal with the clutch pedal. It has been stated by Andre that the Toyota Tacoma with the manual transmission is a favorite truck. Several vehicles have been featured on FLT with manual transmissions. The only way to get the new generation of drivers interested in a manual transmission is to show what can be achieved with a manual versus an automatic or CVT. Those of us who have driven manual transmissions vehicles a long time take a lot for granted. For example , I reminded a friend recently that they could downshift their automatic transmission on a long downhill to save their brakes. For a manual transmission driver, this is an automatic gear choice. I have seen a few articles that point to an uptick in the automotive market concerning interest in the manual transmission. Let’s hope that it can be brought back from near extinction.
Love that Ford is keeping the V8 alive. I am a truck guy but man this Mustang is making me want one/ Looking forward to more vids with this car!! and yes from a 2023 F-150 owner the infotainment takes a sec to pop up! Its normal
Chevy is keeping the V8 alive as well. Idk what these guys are talking about. Plus they're coming out with a new Chevelle. Both can come with a 6.2L and the new Chevelle can come with a new LS6-X twin turbo.
Agree with shopping out of area for best pricing. However, many States Lemon Laws only apply to vehicles sold within the State. I have flown twice to a different state. Once saved $15k versus all local dealers.
Beautiful color! But like the rest of the comments here, you’re buying the last V8 muscle (pony) car, and you should’ve paired it with the manual transmission
Makes sense, but a guy can dream right? I have to live vicariously through channels like yours because I’m married with young children so the only new car I’m getting anytime soon comes in small packaging and says “Hot Wheels”
@@Yourmission9I'm right there with you. I have to experience these things through TH-cam because I'm simply not willing to go that far in debt for a vehicle. People paying anywhere from $700 to $1000 a month for a car payment is mind blowing to me, unless they're making a decent annual salary.
Love the vid. Just bought my vapor blue GT. I am absolutely in love. Is it perfect, no. But for how inexpensive it is you can’t beat it. I can’t wait to start building it!

Maaaaaaann that trade in definitely helped out with the price! That is probably the cheapest I've seen one get sold for. Lucky man! I want this car so bad, but my trade-in won't be that great, but this is definitely motivation. I love this car, and I am keeping faith, I will get it before the end of the year 🙏🏽 Nice vid!
That trick also works really well with motorcycles. Buy a motorcycle from somewhere way up north in the winter and ride it back south if you're mad or have it sent to you. And enthusiasts don't care if something is faster. They want better. Just ask your significant other if they would prefer you were faster or better and you'll have the answer to why you should choose a manual.
Love the new S650 but that Active Exhaust only adds 6hp. It’s 480hp and 418 lb-fts of torque. Still 486hp is awesome! I would’ve gone with Vapor Blue and the Performance Pack. Y’all are going to have a lot of fun with it! Cheers!🎉
Muffler upgrades don't normally add much power. At least is something compared to the past when all GT with the same active exhaust were rated 460 horsepower before being downgraded to 450 horsepower for 2023.
I didn't have to travel to get mine, and I did a custom order too. STILL got $4000 off, I just told them I'm not paying sticker, and I want a discount. I got it...
I'm fine with automatic even though I grew up driving a manual. In my area and at my age an automatic is easier. And sometimes others drive my car so I definitely wouldn't want them grinding gears on my manual.
I like his choice. A lot of Mustang GT videos deal with GT Premium with PP which is the highest trim before dark horse. This would be more 'wise' and 'practical' (?) purchase in my opinion.
Awesome GT, not a fan of the tablet looking screen in front of the wheel. Needs analog dials/gauges. Like it has 18 in. rims def. gives a smoother ride, not a fan of the black wheels either.
I recently looked at the new Mustang GT's but they have 2 things that will keep me from ever buying one, (just like new Dodge Chargers and certain Challengers), openings in the hoods for rain and snow to mess up the engine compartment and probably void a warranty truth be known AND the second thing is the capless fuel fill with no locking "cap" or plug available just like the Chargers. People say to me its too hard to siphon gas and I said I'm worried about jealous people putting stuff IN the neck/tank not the other way around.
I just had a 2024 EB coupe for a week. I thought it was a decent improvement, considering it's basically a refresh. Still some things that need to be improved. Perhaps someday they can get the plastic panels near where the seat belt attaches to the vehicle to stop rattling. I've rented 4 or 5 Mustangs. Each one has done that at times. It's basically right in your ear, so it's really pleasant and enjoyable..
Great car guys. I don't buy my manual Mustangs worrying about resale or other people driving it, but that's your choice. Ill be tuning in and waiting for some drag racing with it.
Private sale of Manual Mustang GTs is more profitable. Boomers love a stick shift. Automatics are easier to sell in dealerships because it’s mostly young kids who don’t know how to drive stick. I taught myself how to drive it. Pretty easy to learn on a V8 :)
Same deal with Tacomas. The dealer will tell you that there is no market for a manual but read the forums or list your vehicle for sale amd you will have buyers chasing you from hundreds of miles away
@@fordgtguy yep. And another video, somebody was saying how cheap their new TJ was back in the day. I ran the same calculator, adjusted for inflation. It was 32,000 today. Imagine spending 32k for a basic TJ? It could be wages were relatively higher then compared to today.
Great car, and I'm amazed at the price. Im not sure I buy the argument given Roman by the dealership, and I think TFL is smart enough to realize that dealers know about winter in Colorado. Now, people working at car dealerships aren't the top brass, and I get that. Mustang GT V-8 cars are less popular as fuel prices go way up. 42K isn't bad for a almost 500hp sports car. Speaking of basic I bought a 86 Mustang LX 5.0 5-speed with only power windows, sunroof and rear defogger radio delete. It was $11,000 msrp. Way slower of course, but was a mid 14 second car in the mid 80's. Air would have been nice, but for 14 years and 160K miles was a blast!!

I am thinking about, at some point getting an S650. My next car would be optioned similar. 6 speed is a must - can’t possibly consider the distaff transmission! Big no go is the iPad dash 🤢. Think I’ll be driving the 2018 for a couple more years. Happy motoring 🤠
I absolutely love my 17 gt premium! Three pedals my friend!
I HATE the dash in the new Mustangs. Two iPad sat on a dash. No style or attempt to make it look like anything else. Looks cheap
Definitely doesn’t look cheap it looks modern and not outdated and also has the old fox body gauges in the settings
@@TheKing8608_ lol. It displays something that LOOKS like the old foxbody mustang gauges (which is easily the worst looking mustang anyway)
Don't look up the AMG 1 Mercedes hypercar than lmao. You're just old. Nothing wrong with that. But screens are it now. Cheaper and you can show more information.
@@Tazandd Cheaper to manufacture, cheaper looking, and impossible to read in bright sunlight.
@@Tazandd screens are dumb and no that's not a boomer take. Having a digital dash means there's bound to be bugs in the software and with the way software is made today, there will be LOTS of bugs and glitches. Also, if they follow what the tech industry does with smart phones and tablets, after 5 years the software will slowly stop working, thus incentivizing you to purchase a new car. Planned obsolesce baby!
Congrats on your 2022 GT500! 👍
Did you get the Man-ual or the Autowombic? ..... and no those are not typos.
Those dual screens are a crime.
Definitely. Looks like they just glued two tablets on the dash. My car has the integrated 8" LCD and it looks much better. And it's a 2017 model.
If you go premium you get the long Tesla like screen 🤷🏽
I ordered the exact same configuration for my new mustang last month, only added night pony for bigger wheels and painted roof with different headlights and black badges. Have some discounts b/c of company I work for but not as good as a deal as you guys got. Some things about this configuration I would like people to know. (Also grabber blue not the dark blue)
301A package which is 2k gives you the partial leather (vinyl) seats with driver electric and adds lumbar as well as 9 speaker audio (adds sub and a puller speakers).
2024 GT starts at $42,000. Just think of it as 32,000 in 2013 dollars.
Cmon Man...that's Bidenomics!
Plugging that into the inflation calculator, 32k in 2013 is 43k today. Seems fair
The '24 GT has 480 HP std, and 486 with active exhaust. 2018 to '21 had 460-horse. 2022-'23 had 450-horse due to the carbon trap in the air intake tubing from the air filter box.
Nice buy glad ford is keeping the v8 going for 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I hope so, sucks that Chevy and Dodge pussied out and bending the knee to the environmental liberal fascist lunatics.
Three things on the MT82:
I have the MT82 in my 2013 5.0.
Old info, after 2019 Ford fixed the MT82, it's now the MT-82D4, my 2020 Mustang GT with the manual has been flawless.
Our pleasure!
Exhaust is amazing.
Just for drama, big SUV’s and truck V8’s will be around a long time.
people are very gullible. @@GeorgeOrwell-tp8dw
Ford's 3.0T seems like a worthy replacement. It makes great power in the ranger/Bronco raptor
Ehh I don’t think V8 will go away anytime soon. Guys will always restore the classic muscle cars.
You are sooo right Roman! Love the feeling of picking up a brand new vehicle.
Congrats!
Summer and leather black seats....no thanks, cheaper is BETTER in my opinion !!
Sounds like you both like driving into crowds 😂
@larryzeldin7561 Any 2013 GT or 2014 I would pay 25K for any thing under 75,000 miles. I have 150,000 on a 2012 GT, only basic maintenance on time, uses 2 quarts of oil 🛢 between a 5,000 oil change
Video idea...Cross country road trip, coast to coast, "What it's like to road trip the last V8 muscle car"
Thanks for the great suggestion!
Do it!
@@TFLcarI'd watch this
The old one had much better gauge cluster - throwback. Dislike the square cornered screen sticking up - no style to that at all.
Just got base model with 301a. Great advice on get what you want and nothing you dont need.
Sweet ride! Love that color and it sounds great. Great video!
It’s a good thing GM is discontinuing the Camaro. If not it would be tough to tell them apart.
The new Mustang does have the camero vibe. I don't know if it's a bad thing but sort of odd.
Yep, would have sat on the 2014, 10 more years it would fetch fox body prices .....2013 to 2014.....GT, 302 Boss, GT 500....
How's the engine?
Oh, it's amazing.
How's the infotainment system/electrics?
Yeah....Ford really struggles with that.
Great deal!
Yeah, 42K aint too bad, but i remember when V6 was 20-25K and a GT Premium was under 40K.
Nice purchase. Sad to see the 2014 go though. I still have my 2013 gt
Got one too. It's one of the best looking Mustangs so don't be disappointed.
I ordered the exact same car in manual so I was looking for a good walkaround and came across this video. Feeling pretty excited already! Hope you enjoy it. Subscribed!
Dang the quiet mode still has a nice rumble that is loud
Awesome purchase guys. Hope to see some road trip videos and it's overall livability.
Overall reliability.
Congratulations on your new Mustang! 310 hp is plenty for me. I can't even max out the hp in my area. I'm sure that you'll put all of your hp to good use.
Can you do a summary video on the outgoing stang? What broke what issues etc.
Fantastic. My 2019 GT manual might need an upgrade. I have been looking at my local dealer. The active exhaust is wild! Congrats, I'm looking forward to your future content with this vehicle.
Congrats! Beautiful car, great sounding as well. Enjoy it. Looking forward to seeing it in some upcoming vids.
Congrats! On this 5.0GT Mustang V8 this is truly one of the few cars that truly quality made , this car 10yrs from now still worth it with its 5.0 v8
I have to say that I was disappointed to see the new Mustang GT optioned with an automatic transmission for the various reasons:
1. Trade-in - Lame reasoning in my opinion
2. Members of video crew - teaching opportunity
Its normal

Agree with shopping out of area for best pricing. However, many States Lemon Laws only apply to vehicles sold within the State. I have flown twice to a different state. Once saved $15k versus all local dealers.

In a few years those screens will look like crap. Not to mention I bet the startup lag only gets worse over the years.
Beautiful color! But like the rest of the comments here, you’re buying the last V8 muscle (pony) car, and you should’ve paired it with the manual transmission
We totally agree but if you want to see it on video our videographers have to be able to drive it.

@@Yourmission9I'm right there with you. I have to experience these things through TH-cam because I'm simply not willing to go that far in debt for a vehicle. People paying anywhere from $700 to $1000 a month for a car payment is mind blowing to me, unless they're making a decent annual salary.
Add a couple white stripes from the back of the hood scoop over the top and trunk. Love the sound. Gonna be an interesting year.
One thing a must have with 450 plus hp car is track pack. Bigger brakes, wider wheels and upgraded wider tires.
I could only dream of a dealer in my area (WV) giving $5k off a new Mustang! Might be worth a flight to Colorado!

Love the vid. Just bought my vapor blue GT. I am absolutely in love. Is it perfect, no. But for how inexpensive it is you can’t beat it. I can’t wait to start building it!
I was interested in a 2024 premium GT… but the amount of screen there is in the car.. I definitely prefer my 07 GT500. It was like half of the whole dash board. And it’s super quiet and does pick up as fast as I would like
Maaaaaaann that trade in definitely helped out with the price!
Just ask your significant other if they would prefer you were faster or better and you'll have the answer to why you should choose a manual.
oh yeah! Coyote V8 Forever !
Agree with saving $ by having cloth seats. How comfortable are they?
I remember when cars were affordable.
That same car here was $42,000 in NC and the displays are like 10 seconds for each function.
At least is something compared to the past when all GT with the same active exhaust were rated 460 horsepower before being downgraded to 450 horsepower for 2023.
ugly tablets inside. Otherwise on the outside looks great. Sounds amazing also, nothing can beat the V8 sound
That's the perfect Mustang setup, NA 5.0, cloth seats, 18 inch wheels, exhaust.
No, it was ALMOST perfect, the manual would have been the final master's stroke to a masterpiece.
The geese were impressed with the car and were discussing it!
Turn on some music. Problem solved.
In the real world, manual trans Mustangs are worth WAY more than autos.
Same deal with Tacomas. The dealer will tell you that there is no market for a manual but read the forums or list your vehicle for sale amd you will have buyers chasing you from hundreds of miles away
There’s a GT in Manassas, VA for $37,xxx
That's crazy expensive when you consider I bought my 2018 PP1 Premium for $43k. when new Dec 2017. I even have the magneride and the adaptive exhaust.
Adjusted for inflation, 43k in 2017 equals 52k today.
@@trailrunnah8886People really underestimate the spike in inflation.
@@fordgtguy yep. And another video, somebody was saying how cheap their new TJ was back in the day. I ran the same calculator, adjusted for inflation. It was 32,000 today. Imagine spending 32k for a basic TJ? It could be wages were relatively higher then compared to today.
manual vs auto= engagement with the manual. A mustang isn't the best car at anything but its an affordable gateway into an enthusiasts car.
Great car, and I'm amazed at the price. Im not sure I buy the argument given Roman by the dealership, and I think TFL is smart enough to realize that dealers know about winter in Colorado. Now, people working at car dealerships aren't the top brass, and I get that. But the likely real reason this car was so cheap was perhaps extra inventory they weren't expecting, or maybe it was the last day of the month. Either way, I'm glad they got a good deal, and I'm really glad there's still a great car out there I might actually be able to afford. With that said, I just looked at Lakewood Fordland, the cheapest GT they have is $49k, $47k after current discounts.
Nice car but I wish they did something different with the gauge cluster. Looks unfinished and almost like they forgot about it and just stuck a tablet as a placeholder.
Very nice. Kind of partial to the S197 though. I picked up a 2009 GT 5spd with 22k on the clock about this time last year in Loveland. Sort of wished it was auto, the granny gears and traffic can make driving a workout. Looking forward to future videos.
Sweet ride. 3 years ago I cross shopped 2007-09 4.6 Mustangs with the 2007 Z33 roadster I eventually bought. Came very close to buying an 08 CS coupe.
My wife has been eyeballing a s650 GT to upgrade from her 2016 V6. Hopefully Ford got their quality control under….control.
I bought a brand new Mustang GT premium in 2006. I got the Ford "A" plan and it was $25,000. 6 years later, traded is for a 2012 Camaro SS 45th anniversary.
I got the 6 speed manual in my 2021 HPP vert. I bought for the driving engagement. I think in a sports car you want to feel more connected and in control of it. YMMV
The blue and black rims is the perfect color combo
I sure like the older dash better. So simple.
It sounded like it was missing on a few cylinders when Tommy revved it...
It did... I instantly thought it sounded rough when he started it. Unless the audio was causing that sound, it definitely sounded like it was missing.
I still absolutely love analog gauges over fully digital.
Congrats on the new toy. Love it when my friends get new wheels. Think at some point yall gotta compare a similar spec manual transmission with it tho. When i think sports car i dont think about paddle shifters and 10 gears. Let me get the stick with the 6 on it haha. Drive safe. Cant wait to see whats next.
Wow that mustang is beautiful but the price is another story to tell 😅,,
Welcome to the current generation of Mustang, Gentleman. You won't be disappointed. BTW, the base GT makes 480 HP, 486 HP with the active valve exhaust.
Hey Roman, as cool as a Mustang is it's still a car. I would like to see you use it for errands. You know the grocery store, Wal-Mart, whatever. Since most people can't afford to own multiple vehicles, it would be nice to see how practical it is to own a Mustang. Thank you. 🐎
