Lookn good. Like the new hood scoop and the air intakes on each side of the headlight. ( are they functional ?) Good new color options..is that a second option for a roof by Polaris? not a fan of the holes in the hood and vents cut into the fenders..the extra HP in the R model is an ECM tune which can be added later to any Slingshot at a reasonable price..looking forward to seeing one in our Slingshot club next season..✌️😎
Thanks for watching! Some of the vents and ducts are functional managing airflow in and around the cabin, but I'm not sure if those are directly functional for the brakes. If you don't dig the more aggressive hood, you can still get the standard one that essentially looks the same as last year. The color options are awesome. Even among the McLarens and Lambos of Laguna Beach, our little convoy stood out. 😎
@@sarahjeanstroud7502 They had some different roof options at the debut and the aftermarket has some awesome options as well. Really great support for the Slingshot
when are they being placed out on sale. I am in the market and waiting on this 22 model. really like the blue and gray. will have to abandon the orange!!
Haha! That blue and gray combo was so sick that even I could forgive the orange accents. Not sure about when they'll be taking orders since today was the first day we were allowed to post about them, but if I find out I'll be sharing more details for sure. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
We never got too crazy on our tour, but they seemed to bite hard and have no trouble stopping the Slingshot. Brake pedal feel is just OK, though, in both the regular SL and R trims. I would imagine the big advantage of the Brembos is that they would stand up to more abuse than the regular brakes on an aggressive blast. Thanks for watching!
The bodywork has been redesigned to send more airflow into the cabin. Obviously, an open cockpit can get warm, but I thought it was reasonable. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I don't see 30k there. Frame, plastic and engine. Think they need to start at about 12k or so and max out around 20k. I rented a 2021 model and wasn't impressed, from the belt noise and things falling off of it with only a couple thousand miles on it. Feel the same about Harley's....just don't see 30k there!
I think the Slingshot is directly tied to the potential customer's expectations since it's much closer to a powersports toy than a car. The price is appropriate when compared to similar powersports vehicles considering the expanded usability. You can't desire better NVH and higher quality materials while simultaneously declaring it should start at $12k, which is the price of a nice motorcycle. The Slingshot is an experiential machine, and I think it's priced about right for the experience and community it delivers, especially at its low $20k starting price. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I hab a 2021 Slingshot R auto and I didn't like the way it down shifted and the brakes stink. So I really don't think Polaris listens to their customers
They were asking for a lot of feedback on this trip, and compared to the 2020, 2021, and 2022 I have driven, there is a noticeable improvement in both areas on the 2022. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Manual transmissions are too much work to drive. I feel like you spend all those thousands of dollars but then you let the machine off easy, no you’re the machine that’s supposed to be making my life easier, YOU do the shifting. Long live automatic transmissions.
@@jax1079 again tell me why I should be happy doing all that shifting when the machine could be doing it for me and I could b driving and enjoying the scenery? It’s already doing multitudes of mechanical actions, but I get to shift and do more work ? Ummmm, no thank you.
I love my 2020 auto I wish they could find out why the check engine light comes on and of had it at dealer 4 time I think and still doing it
Yikes! Hope you get it sorted. Thanks for watching!
So are the electronics and interior water proof if it rains??
Yes, like a motorcycle. They can get wet.
Thank you for the review. I'm liking the new look and colors
The new good designs are sick. It's not like the Slingshot need to be more eye catching, but here we are 😂 Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

Slingline puts out the Raptor roof system that looks really rad.

@@jax1079 Do you know if the R model drop today?
What do you think about the Brembo brakes on the R?

Is this really a automatic sweet
It is. And a much improved one.
Took a 2020 SL model on a test drive, didn’t like the heat on my feet from the engine! Did they fix that in the 2022 model?

Did Polaris build the engine or is it outsourced
It’s a Polaris design. The Slingshot started with a GM Ecotec 4 cylinder, but they switched to Polaris designed engines in the second gen.
What?? Needs even more power
Not really. It's plenty fast enough, both from a practical standpoint and a dynamic one (you can only run so much power through a single rear tire).
Def wanna get me one
It’s a lot of fun. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Sound like the 2022 is the way to go.
It is. It's noticeably improved. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

I would choose the S to make it mine just how I want it…
Not a bad plan. The customization options are almost endless. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the great review. Can’t wait to buy my own slingshot!😍👍
I think you'll really like it. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
I'd get the s. More affordable and upgradable
Can't say I disagree. You can see by my S preview that I was quite smitten with the manual S model (technically an SL). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Slingshot R
Next step...EV
I asked them about that when I was there. They didn’t say anything specific, but I think something is in the works.
