Everytime i see an error in NL's play i check comments and there's always a sperg in the top 3 pointing it out
@@thehubbabubba667 ain't gonna get better if he's not being held accountable to miss-plays. Who's worse, the person who points out the miss-play or the "sperg" who intentionally goes into the comments to get triggered by someone pointing it out?

@@iami3rian394 Not gonna lie, my brain just ignores the blue ats on comments these days and my first pass of this comment was basically 'Wait, did @IamI3rian just say that if even Steejo sees the miss-plays it must be obvious?'
That being said, Steejo hits the nail on the head. Comments about the miss-plays are affectionate ribbing from fans who love the egg. These are just people out here trying to make NL see that he's constantly screwing up in the hopes that he actually... y'know... improves.
Speaking of looking up... Just do the math on chokes damage/energy on the average floor one turn. It is NOT perfected strike. Choke need a deck built around it or loads of energy and draw. Otherwise, it's pretty trash...
Yeah, shivs might be the simplest way to make it work. Weird thing, NL usually likes shivs and shoves them in most decks, but this time, with Choke, he actually avoided them...Weird...
@@astrumrocket6556 Yeah...he doesn't seem to really think about what it takes to make Choke work, and just likes it because he can get damage off blocking.
@@Avoncarstien I noticed that, he tends to do things on autopilot, and if he has an idea that he's playing a certain "archetype" he will avoid anything that might fall into another archetype, doesn't matter if it works or not.

Nope. The ONLY cards he ever removes are curses, and no matter WHAT he must remove them all.

Curious.. What do ppl think of nl removing the curse in the third run? I don't really think an ethereal curse is worth spending gold on removing. At least not so early, when you can spend it on getting better cards.

The "win" on episode 449 is from NL's win as the defect off camera, mentioned at the beginning of the episode. You could argue if it deserves to be in the scoreboard, I personally think only on camera wins should be recorded because who knows how many off camera loses our deviled egg has. But all that aside, my man's doing the lord's work and he deserves respect

Personal achievement... from the brinks of the low 300's he's pulled it back, up to date with the most recent NL Spire upload. A holiday in Greece Sneko'd my run but I've found extra energy and got up to speed
NL, unceasing top is like the ONLY time you almost autotake flying knee. You FINALLY skip it the single time you shouldn't.

Why is Sucker Punch a better upgrade than Neutralize? Unlike Sucker Punch that gives you 1 more damage if upgraded, you can ALWAYS play Neutralize, which means higher efficacy of the upgrade.
Yes but the damage from sucker punch+ is a hundred times better against lagavulin and gremlin nob.
It becomes a different matter if you're smithing in front of the boss but the damage is also nice for those.
And you get one more weak turn as well which is a bigger deal than the 2 damage for either card.
Today's run was indeed very cursed with the draws, gosh how did this happened
my favorite combo with nightmare was Nightmare Backstab and kunai. Turn 2 was always 1dex up, and 33 damage at the very least
Nightmare is one of those cards that I think is really underrated. It's hard to get out there, and the energy base to make good use of it is very high, but if you can make it work it will straight up win runs
Nightmare + upgraded Wraith Form = 12 turns of invincibility
Nightmare + upgraded Noxious Fumes = 12 extra poison every turn completely passively

This didn't show up in my subscriptions feed and I had to go to NL's channel to find it. :(
I mean, it's literally posted 4 minutes before you commented, the feed could easily have just skipped a refresh cycle.
I'm 7 minutes after it was posted and it was in my feed, but took a few refreshes to see it posted on my phone for example.
TH-cam just can't keep up with our favourite Canadian man.
Also. Usually pick predator over Choker or most 1 cost attacks, if you can upgrade it soonish.
20 + 2 cards next turn is very useful early to be sure you have always 2-3 right cards for the situation. With Well laid Plan it just makes manipulation so good, with big hands to deal with nd lots of options.
Choker is more of a "there's nothing else I need damage", or kinda forced semi-infinite/shivs. Usually poison will bury them all.
Skewer + can be quite ok, especially if you can land the X bottle relic. Works for Doppleganger and Malaise too.
Silent is the only one I can consistently get to act 3 boss. It's really a good character for that With its crazy defense and poison.
Why the hell take choke if you skip every enabler...you literally just treat like two strikes

Hey NL, I'm not saying this was the best option, but if i got nightmare before the run started, i wouldhave tried to remove a bunch of cards early, get heel hook or flash of steel and try to go infinite
In fact I'm sure it's the wrong option because there's a 2/3rd chance that you'll fight the time eater on A20, but it could been fun
I don't think he's dabbled in infinte loops yet.
Heck I don't think he's even considered going for one on camera so there's a good chance it's a totally new can of worms for him.
Not judging him for it it's a very different approach to the game and now that the series might be drawing closer to its end I'd say it makes sense for him to stick to his guns.
Though dying to time eater wasn't really a concern in this video because act 3 was but a distant dream

They're SUPER fun, but it quickly gets boring and you feel like you're just clicking for the sake of clicking. It becomes apparent, that you've already won well before the end of act 2.
I seriously think he's overdoing it going for so many elites on the first floor with the Silent. The Nob is such a pain in the rear given how much of the silent's good damage is skill-based. I think he'd be a bit better off playing it slightly safer and perhaps going for it more on floor 2 elites when he's stronger.
Disagree. Short of a already good deck by luck with basic room fights and "?", you need those elite to even have a consistent shot at the first floor boss. But he needs to value attack cards (non skill cards, really) slightly higher than he is valueing them now in the first few rooms in order to prep for the goblin fight.
Yea i think he pretty much never prepares for goblin. He's aware there's a chance to fight him when he goes for elites, but it feels like he paths as many question marks as possible early so he doesn't get as many card options
@@Berilith yup, and this is why he failed for 550+ episodes with everyone else. He LUCKED into the defect win, he's gonna luck into the silent as well.
Triple catalyst is his only chance. He just CANNOT build a deck.
I like how NL thinks he has done the difficult challenge once he finally wins A20 with all characters. When ya gonna do the A20 heart runs, eggboi?

He'd never, EVER build a deck to do it, and it's nearly impossible to luck into an A20 heart win.
Especially when the wins were lucky runs on simpler characters

RNG played a part, for sure, but charging the four elites in act 4 v taking the easy path, AND taking black star were all active choices.
That's not luck, that's how you play a deckbuilder.

I like to see people dying in asc20 so I can understand why and maybe apply some of it to my runs.
But :

Picking Deflect early isn't useful at all and even later it's not the most exciting card.
Prepared is MUCH worse, so there's that. You draw prepared, then with prepared you remove a card and pick a new one, that's -1 card draw. Useless without some really strong discard run that probably rarely happens in Asc20.
