  • Around 10 am, we kicked off our climb after a solid two-hour hike from “Piedra Negra.” The heat had everything melting, making some parts of the granite pretty slick, but still manageable to climb. By 6:30 pm, we summited and decided to rappel down the east face. After 8 or 9 rappels, we made it to the glacier and got back to “Piedra Negra” around midnight. We spotted our tent spot, but the tent and all our stuff were nowhere to be seen! Turns out, the crazy strong wind that day had swept our tent away, but some awesome climbers nearby had rescued it and moved it to a safer spot. It all ended well, though! Big thanks to my friends and to those guys for making this adventure even more memorable!
