I Had a 2016 JCW with adaptive dampers it rode really well on 18's. Once again a case of specifying adaptives on a BMW transfers the car. Fantastic fun car. made me smile every time I drove it.

Love my R50 with JCW Sound Kit and other parts. I've gone for 17 Inch BBS's with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, improves the ride and handling so much.
CarAdvice do heaps of reviews/tests in Australia.The eastern part of Australia has recently experienced temperatures of above 45 Celsius,which is about 113 Fahrenheit.I've been literally melting for the past 3 days.I'm sure you will enjoy your stay in Australia and I will look forward to your videos.
I like the cooper s 10 spoke 17s the best and in silver! Look great on any color mini !

Great video as always! I love my f56 JCW. Fitted Michelin cup2 tyres and KW coil overs and the transformation is amazing. Only thing I wish I went for was the manual gearbox instead of the (Very good) automatic.
Hearing that u only earn 250 a month is pretty shit mate u deserve a bigger following, bigger youtubers are half as watchable as u are yet have 10x the followers. Subscribed!!

Ooh CarAdvice, nice one Joe! I live in Brisbane, Australia and read and watch their content quite a bit - I look forward to seeing if you appear on their content! Just bear in mind that I've found a lot of their content to be bias towards Volkswagen Group products even when some of the competition is arguably better. Hopefully you can help change this hehe. I also placed an order on a nicely optioned 125i M Sport yesterday to replace my Citroen DS3 THP155 (no way I could afford the M140i sadly but the 125i was still a hoot). The 125i I ordered happens to be already on the boat bound for Australia so it's only about a 4 week wait. Managed to get it for the price of a demo because of putting it on finance with BMW thus saving ~$15000aud from the RRP!
Im looking forward to getting mine. I was initially going to get a 1499 gt as i like the look of it, but when I saw the business contract hire deals on the JCW I changed for a black one like this, no extras apart from visual boost radio but expecting a whole lot of fun

You can turn the auto rev match off but you have to turn TC and stability control off. I have a 210 works.
Good vid as always Joe; I’ll be really interested to see your next video on the JCW as I’m seriously thinking of coming out of my X5 40d and ordering an LCI JCW (just been released) in a few months time. There really is a lot to be said for a) fun small hatches and b) something fun but without heavy running costs.

I used to own a first gen MINI GP. The only car I’ve ever regretted selling. Yes the new ones are a more refined car, but the supercharged ones were a total hoot to drive. I don’t feel like you highlighting the particular deal on this MINI is too salesy at all. If they keep giving you cars to review in return for a quick mention of a cracking deal then it’s win win! Have a great time is OZ. My mum is currently in Melbourne and it’s 43 degrees!
I've been in some amazing cars. Mercedes SLS, Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8's but the R53 GP is the most impressive car I've ever been in.
Hi Joe, Just to say thanks for the reviews I started watching your channel at the beginning of December tossing up between a Golf R, S3, AMG 45 and the M140i. Bought the M140i mid December after watching your reviews and I am loving it, I was very lucky there was 1 left in the country and it was pretty much my exact wish list on specs. The Aussie models come fully loaded and are selling like hot cakes apparently. Hope you enjoy your trip to Australia as an expat living there now I would suspect you will have a blast :)

Agree with you about the wheels. The rubber doesn't look great either. Some serious looking brakes behind them wheels too. Looking forward to more of a review once you've had some more miles with it.

Currently own a Golf GTI MK7 and keep looking at these. No doubt they’re mega fun but so tiny compared to the Golf.

Just wanted to say I have just discovered and subscribed to your channel recently and it has some amazing content!
Out of interest, how did you get into a position where BMW/MINI come to you and offer you cars to do reviews on?
Also, if you happen to do another video on the JCW do you think you could do a comparison of the exhaust in Mid vs Sport mode? I test drove one without the Pro exhaust and changing the mode seemed to make a big difference to even the sound on idle (not just the pops and bangs which are obviously amazing), but now I'm wondering if i made that up.
PS: to get the best pops supposedly jam it into second, accelerate a bit and let off (when its hot obviously)

Ever drive an R53 JCW GP, Joe? I had one for about a year, and I don’t think there’s been a better mini since to be honest, and arguably (apart from the practicality side) not a better hot hatch.

Does this mini have bad rev hang? My BMW (with the same engine in a slightly more powerful tune) has, very annoying when changing from first to second or second to third, revs are held high for a second after pressing the clutch to shift up. Can result in a jerky upshift unless you take your time.
It was so fun until my timing chain broke and my warranty expired.
I loved my mini but when they break it isn't cheap. I would love to get a brand new JCW but the dealership didn't leave a good lasting impression at all and these cars are VERY overpriced to begin with.

Yes, the 18" are very ugly but the JWC gets bigger brakes that the 17" can't fit over. So you can't "just get the 17 inch wheels".

There are 17" wheels that fit as options for the jcw.
Joe, if you had to choose would it be the JCW or M2C?
I did have to chose, M2 C is on a totally different level and price point
I can get a fully loaded on 15% off this week (US spec) for about 54.5K is it worth 16K more than the JCW? your opinion and if so why?...….Thanks
@@mikewils3376 buy the M2 C. The JCW is fun but doesn't compare to the M2 C. Try both cars
that's the problem no JCWs to test drive here, only to order. and the M2C would be my daily (42 UK pounds) and not sure if its a daily car.....great vids!

We have one but really this car is shit every month a new problem and the bills are fu**ing expensive no more Bmw and or mini anymore!! This car is from my wife. I have a Volkswagen tdi never had problems the last 8 year
