I've been looking for a set like this. I have full wrap handguards but when I'm on the track racing a full guard isn't really what im looking for. thank you for this. im going to look into getting these!
I use these hand guards with SRT flags instead of the small cycra flags that come with them. I ride a lot of tight single track with overgrown trails and this setup works awesome. They are rigid enough that the branches will not push the guards back into your levers and cause issues. Full wraps are great for saving levers but I don't like the extra inch you gain on the bars by having them and I don't like cutting my bars to make up for that. I agree with Kyle, so far these are the best flag style hand guards minis the little flags.
I have a full wrap set on some flexx bars and they sure are classy, well manufactured and durable. They have stood the test of time. Lots of soft sand and rock to test them. Expensive, but I would have replaced two by now if they weren't CYCRA
I use Bark busters VPS open ended band guards, they are more for dual sport/adventure riding as they are fairly high but they work very well for enduro riding. They have saved my hands a few times, and they are very well built and solid. I highly recommend them! Maybe try a pair for your yzf maybe?
I was trying to access the link for ordering parts through Rocky mountain atv and I was not able to see it on my computer. It may just be me but I wanted to make sure you were aware of this. Love the videos.
Hi Tommy, I checked some things and it looks like it's working for others. So sorry that it didn't work for you. I really appreciate you trying to do it though!
Biggest thing your have to ask yourself is, "Is having a broken hand or a broken lever, 65 k from the nearest out and potentially not being able to ride for a couple weeks worth it??" I mostly ride single track and I USE my handguards! I find myself saying "Thank you handguards" several times a ride. Don't get me wrong, if your riding moto then a good set of flag guards are probably all you need. However if your riding off road get yourself a good set of well fitting wrap arounds, save your hands, save your time and keep riding.
+ryan nagy I totally get your point. There are a few down sides to full wrap guards too. I have run a few different styles and have a set up full wrap guards that I'll be reviewing soon.
I've also badly sprained a wrist when my hand got stuck in my probend hand guards and had to ride out one handed. So you gotta consider whats worse, a broken lever or broken wrist.
What about saving levers from diggers? If you’re going to go with flags, these or EE with some Teflon tape, what’s the go to flag? not super confident on full wraps as I know I’ll go down often.
I've had pretty funny story with my Acerbis Uniko Vented Handguards. So I dropped my bike on the left side and the handguard bent almost 90 degrees. I did the same thing later in the day. I was really impressed with these Unikos. And then the funny thing happened. So I'm riding slowly between some bush, and I dropped the bike really easily and guess what. It was on the right side and that guard broke on first try. But I think I would still recommend this product.
+bibiisbatman bb Yeah, it's hit and miss on when you break them for sure. I think these Rebounds guards might hold up better than the Acerbis Uniko though...
I literally dismember mi 4th finger of the left hand, doctors thought they would have to amputate the first phalanx of the finger but finally saved , now I have the first phalanz uglier than normal. This happened in a fall at low speed to the left side wearing normal motocross gloves and Ktm oficial open handguards Now i use acerbis closed handguars and i'm searching for a good protection gloves for enduro, what do u recommend for me? Thanks bro!
Don't know. I like the gloves that are movable but have hard plastic knuckles since that's the usual spot where you get hit. Like these: www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/fox-racing-bomber-glove.html www.atomic-moto.com/Klim-Induction-Long-Glove-_p_842.html
PSA My wrap around hand guards broke my arm and wrist last Sunday. I am going to open style guards for safety. The wraparounds have saved me many times but a compound fracture that could have been avoided will make you think twice.
We were riding the enduro loop outside of Moab and I went off a jump in fourth gear without checking the landing so this could have been avoided by following the look before you leap rule :( The landing was flat and rutted, I came down from 12ish feet in the air to flat ruts. I landed the bike and my hands where thrown off the bars getting tangled in the handguards. I slide off the back of the bike and thought I had got away clean until my arm was hanging below my elbow. There are times where wrap around guards are necessary like tight trees but in the desert I don't think wrap arounds are necessary. Does anyone know of a product to protect your throttle tube when dropping the bike?
Dustin Robertson aluminum throttle tubes work well. Make sure you smooth out bar with some sandpaper real well before install or you will feel the gritty texture in the throttle. If you prep nicely the alloy tubes feel fine. If you just slap it on you will miss a plastic one. If I'm not mistaken pro taper makes an aluminum throttle tube with a Teflon insert.
+Dirt Bike Channel try out the Cycra Ultra CRM Wraparounds on the YZ250FX. Seeing them in a lot of magazines recently but haven't seen many reviews on them.
why'd you switch from bark busters to flag style? whenever I first watched your channel you had bark busters.. I think bark busters save grips some also keeps dirt and
BeanHeadGaming okay so im not very good at english but lets try, 70cc piston, bigger exhaust, unrestricted cdi, bigger fuel (something, that controls the fuel usage and etc), i have changed the wheels that the chains are connected to, and some other stuff that i cant even remember
have you tried contacting the brands you use for sponsorship? like gear you use, cycra, goggle brands, etc.. the companies might help your channel, you have enough viewers
Can you work a deal with Amazon for some referral credits? I'm actually in the market for some Cycra Pro-bend handguards and RM was significantly higher than Amazon on the same set.
I've had bad luck with these. Specifically, the set I had broke during the first low speed tip-over that I experienced with them on the bike. The weak point in the design is the point at which the flag rotates/"rebounds." They ought to have a metal bushing at the joint, rather than the weak and thin plastic....aside from that, it appears to be a pretty good design.Since I am not quite ready to count that as a $60 loss, I am currently looking at drilling another hole to mount then and running them until they break again. good looking guard and do a good job of protecting hands from branches, roost, etc., but Cycra really needs to improve the product at the rotation point.
Never buy the cheap "next" brand hand guards. They bend and trap your levers and break them off. It doesn't help that they move up and down when u dump the bike too, so they really offer no protection for your levers, and actually break your levers more than if you had no hand guards

Hay, I bought these a few weeks ago on the recommendation of this video and I love them.
Nice!
+dirt bike channel, yeah i think it is great that u guys have it set up like that and hopefully you can raise enough money to keep going

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. They don't bend back into your levers when you hit things.
Enduro engineering hand guards for life, best handguards on the market
Too bad they don't make them any longer...

+The rider Thank you!
Nice review. Been looking for some hand guards (not the wrap around style) for my new 16 450 SXF.

+byadRi Whoa. That sucks! I don't have any suggestions on heavy duty gloves at the moment.
I like the gloves that have hard plastic knuckles.
Mmm i'm looking for Fo Bomber or Klim dakar, i dont now whats better

So sorry to hear that. Did you go over the bars? Can you elaborate on how it happened.

Love my tusk bark busters!!!
Very nice. Thank you .

I'm going to try to get my hands on some.
will it save your clutch
Very nice content. Just earned yourself a sub:)
Thank you Calvin.
why'd you switch from bark busters to flag style? whenever I first watched your channel you had bark busters.. I think bark busters save grips some also keeps dirt and
+len bong Honestly, just to try something different. Not having a bark buster sure makes it easier to change grips.
keeps dirt and grime from getting under them causing them to slip faster... just what I've noticed
This may sound like a stupid question, but, would a 110cc pit bike or 85cc crosser feel fast for someone who hasnt rode a bike before?
+BeanHeadGaming dude, my non-stock 50cc feels so fucking fast when im driving around 90km/h with it...
+Zigg Zagg nice! What mods have you done to it?
+fukthegoog ok thankyou very much for your answer, do you reckon i should go for a cheap 125 pit bike or something or a good quality crosser?
+fukthegoog okay cheers fella.
BeanHeadGaming okay so im not very good at english but lets try, 70cc piston, bigger exhaust, unrestricted cdi, bigger fuel (something, that controls the fuel usage and etc), i have changed the wheels that the chains are connected to, and some other stuff that i cant even remember

RM is pretty good about price matching. A friend of mine said they even price matched an eBay item.
I had these hand guards and they both broke in two slow speed crashes
I agree they are garbage
Can you do a video on pull straps?
Which pull straps are you referring to?
+Dirt Bike Channel The highline tugger lift strap or just any kind of straps to put on your bike
Perfect.... nice!

I've got the full wrap around ego bark busters they're that strong I've had some pretty hard crashes and they just don't bend I would recommend them
+stefan Whitehouse Yeah, they are certainly nice when crashing like that.
I need hand gaurds
+Johnathan Powell Use my link when placing an order. www.dirtbikechannel.com/parts/
I have a question for anyone to answer. I am getting a yz 125 2 stroke and I am wondering if I need to mix oil with the gas, and if so how much oil.
