I had my hair to the right untill I was 12 or something. From times to times I brushed it to the left and I liked the look, so one day, I just kept it to the left. It has more volume and a different aspect. What matters really much is the haircut and just the way you blow dry it. It will come with time, so there's no trick to do it faster.
