This video is about the Second Boer War from October 1899 to May 1902.
The Second Boer War, also known as the Anglo-Boer War or the South African War, occurred from 1899 to 1902 and was a conflict between the British Empire and two Boer republics, the South African Republic (also known as the Transvaal Republic) and the Orange Free State. The war was sparked by tensions over British imperial ambitions, economic factors, and disputes over the treatment of British settlers and uitlanders in Boer territories. The conflict witnessed guerrilla warfare tactics employed by the Boers against the superior British forces, resulting in a protracted and brutal struggle. The British ultimately prevailed, leading to the incorporation of the Boer republics into the British Empire. The war had lasting impacts on South Africa, contributing to the eventual establishment of the Union of South Africa in 1910.
