    I think what really helps this case is that it's made of metal, and so the case is somewhat an extension to be a bigger heatsink

      @@rowom455 yea I know about the Formd.The reason I’m not going for it (for now) is because I’d like to be able to fit a non FE higher end 4090.
      The terra is imo better looking and it can fit most 4090s.I just wish it didnt waste so much space on the feet. They couldve used that space towards a rad instead.

    I saw on a test that you shouldn't bother facing the PSU fan inward as it didn't improve thermal performance and will most likely reduce the lifespan of the PSU by making it use hotter air.

      Actually, I want to build an ITX Desktop mainly for movies and games in 1080p 60fps or even 120fps on TV.
      I already have an old R7 1700 with a GTX 1070 Ti that I can use but I'd like to do a new build using Fractal Terra, with a R5 5600 or 7600 CPU and a RTX 3060 12Gb (2fans) or better depending on offers.

    If this case had dimensions for liquid cooling, it would be #1 in design and aesthetics, but close to #1 case for functionality with the adjustable spine. Liquid cooling options in this case would make it #1 itx case at this time imo.

    Maybe getting an RTX4070 founders and liquid cooling it, then you can fit a rad on there, maybe go with the max GPU configuration for a thicker rad and fan might fit a 240mm rad if it goes over the GPU, with a big fan in the normal place the rad and two slim fans on the rad....

    No dust filters is a bit worrying

    • @MovJullius
      @MovJullius 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Technically, you can make it with a negative pressure setup, setting the bottom fan (a 15mm noctua for example) as exhaust, and a cpu cooler like the NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition that blows the air from the inside to the outside of the case (though pressure is not very relevant here due to the huge amount of open spaces).
      This is how i set up my Terra build 7 months ago. I opened it recently to put a grill fan on the bottom noctua, and to be honest, it wasnt that bad in terms of dust inside. Obviously it will depend on the environment (pets, location of the case, etc). But I'm super happy with it.

    Beautiful case, but very very limited cpu cooling (thus limited cpu and gpu options without bottlenecking).

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      in SFF case of this size, you have to choose what you need more. For gaming, there is planty of cooling as CPU is not running at 100% all the time

    • @peoplez129
      @peoplez129 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@A2KMedia CPU doesn't need to be at 100% usage to bottleneck. You can have a 4790k at 50% usage and it will bottleneck even a GTX 1080. No CPU will ever reach 100% usage with gaming. The issue is not what happens over a whole second, but how much processing it can do in milliseconds. So faster CPU, the more it can do in that short period of time, which means the more frames it can handle. For example, an 8700k, by all rights still a pretty beefy CPU, will bottleneck even a 4070 by about 20% loss of frames compared to the latest CPU's. So having to run a CPU on a small heatsink definitely results in losses. Even an 8700k clocked to 4.7Ghz, will run at ~85c when maxed out with a large beefy heatsink like a Noctua D15. For the latest CPU's, this might not be a huge problem right now, but in a couple of years when even 4090 levels of performance are common, there's going to be bottlenecks without being able to overclock. Technically the 4090 is actually already bottlenecked by even the latest CPU's, there just isn't anything faster to compare it to, to see the bottleneck.
