Poland had been the first Civ I chose when playing the game for the first time. And after hearing his theme, I knew this game was going to be something special.
Well, the theme for that song is quite old polish carol song. I suggest try to check for this with choir version - it's called "Bóg się rodzi" ("The God is born").
Shaka's and Pocatello's both themes, Pedro's, Darius' and Wu Zetian's war themes and Pacal's, Harun's, Ahmad's and Suleiman's piece themes. Nothing can beat these. But I'll give Pocatello's piece theme the trophy.

While it's true, Bóg się rodzi is a carol, Karpiński did not compose a carol, complete with words, he composed a melody, which was not used immiediately with words, but was first used with a polonez rythm, and polonez is our national dance. I remember way back when Poland was introduced in BNW before it was released and people first thought "Free Policy for every era" was weak. How wrong we were.
There's a reason why if you want to do an absurdly fast sci victory, Poland is the way to go. Basically, you get the equivalent of a free social tree plus no punishment for mix matching policies in different trees. So OP.
@@siechamontillado If you turn off "Policy Saving", Poland is the ONLY civ that is always 100% guaranteed to open up Rationalism the moment you hit Renaissance Era. Other civs will have to plan their culture to do so. And if it's not turned off, they still don't have to worry saving their policies until they hit Renaissance. But Poland's strength also lies in its easy to do whatever you wish. Lots of civs usually focus on one or two types of victory. Poland can do anything, pretty much thanks to the 7 free policies.

There's a dude who's handle is T-hawk and if you search "dos486 + new heroic epic" or "dos486 poland fast sci victory" you should find his write ups on doing a fast science victory with Poland. If memory serves correct, T-hawk did a turn 98 sci victory with Poland (I got a turn 202 sci victory using T-hawk's method). Poland is just so, so broken.

Now wounds can heal and the country starts to rebuild. At the same time, in a family's home, the husband/ father/son, who was believed dead, comes home. Sir Matthew I've thought about it but it doesn't seem right. Novigrad is obviously Danzig, Norse are Skellige, Nilfgaard is Rome or even the Ottomans. Kedwin by culture and clothing is more Polish than Redania who's only polish thing is their flag. If we went by flag then Foltest is France. But that can't be right. I think Temeria is Poland because it is a place that doesn't have good farmland, but has a strong culture and people even when invaded. Throughout the game you can notice how people in Temeria aren't ready to be called Nilfgaardians even after the army has lost. The game makes Redania and Nilfgaard look like a villains while Temeria looks like a hero who has fallen. The producers of the game have set the story in Temeria 3 times and the producers (Projekt red) are polish people that use polish mythology and folklore. But I could be wrong

Civ5:BNW has two of my farourite tracks (polish and brazilian). Geoff Knorr and Michael Curran did great job as composers and Prague Filmharmonic Orchestra under Andy Brick is a group of very talented musicians! Bravo!

I'm playing a game similar with that, and Casimir is so strong, to destroy his capital i had to use a atomic bomb.
where do you get this theme from? is it in the game files? i couldn't find the dlc themes
he probably bought the soundtrack, although it might be hidden somewhere in the files. or another option is he just recorded civ silently as Poland until the song ended.
Theme plays at the leader screen too.
On my system, that file can be found at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\assets\Soundtrack\Casimir Peace - Poland - Bog sie rodzi.mp3".

Casimir was a great and fair king. He established good relations with the suffering religion group in Europe: The Jews. Its sad that after his rule, Poland would be taken over by its neighbors until the fall of USSR. Btw does anyone know where Casimir is standing?
