Need to get a safety feature like those kickstand power cut offs, so it doesn't take off unexpectedly. My dream is to have sine wave controller & belt drive so everybody will surprised where you came from.
FYI!!! you can also get pedal assist to function with the sab controller some code a mini Arduino although i must recommend a switch to turn it off ! as its a little twitchy shall we say lol and if you forget and slightly move them pedals your on your ass before you no it if you was not expecting it to launch !
Nice name for brakes given the application! haha. Looked at getting one of those controllers. Looks to be nearly 13kw roughly at the peak! That's pretty impressive power!
+john creed yeah it's pretty insane power. I highly recommend the controller, very well built, doesn't get hot and now I've done a bit more testing the efficiency is very good, so on less crazy rides I can get more miles.

I have this kit and is not real the power of the video. He has a motor of 5kw, not 11kw, the max velocity is 120kmh, but is fucking crazy and never goes at that speed.
Nice build, I went to your website and looked at your battery and saw "Continous Discharge current : 70A" but you said yours does 150 A continous discharge, is it a different battery on your website?
andy removing the brake switch i presume you havent had a runaway with the hall sensor in the throttle the brakes are the only thing that will stop u. it happen to me 3 years down the line took off on full throttle
The bike is fast that's for sure. It tops out around 70 mph and wheelies at 30 mph. My battery is 264 LG HE4 18650 batteries set up in a 22s 12p configuration. Battery max continuous rating is 240A. When the bike is turned all the way up it should peak at 18kw.

Gary g1fsh I'm all good mate, hope you are well too. I just replied to you on twitter as well. I agree 100% about the regulations, i was considering registering this as a moped but there's so many hoops to jump through to get it approved. They need to change something, technology is way ahead of the times on this stuff.
The real problem with those switches on the brakes is when you stop on a hill you can't give it throttle without releasing brakes, so you roll backwards. At least front should be disabled.
Hi Andy, I think you're right about the battery size because after I've mounted the controller underneath I'll still need space for a charger. I found rear shock springs up to 750lb to accommodate the bigger battery. Would a KP 10 amp charger fit in the space above the battery box sized battery? i'm planning on a Winchester to Brighton trip across the South Downs and find one charge point on the way. Yeah you're front mudguard is on back to front bud it doesn't really matter but it is supposed to go the other way round, if you look on some downhill bikes they have a very small flimsy mudguard at the back of the fork because that's the bit that matters, the rain & dirt comes straight up from behind the front wheel into your face so it's more important to have more of the mudguard behind the fork as opposed to in front of it.

Hi Andy, loved all of your blogs Buddy ! I've researched every part to build my own E bike very similar to yours, I'm going to be using the QS205 v3 3000w Motor. I'm thinking of sending Insat International an Enduro E bike battery box and asking them to make the same battery that you had made for yourself but to the size of the box, or bigger. Please could you give me your opinion to whether or not this would work ok? ( I know nothing about electronics ) i'm also guessing that they would install a BMS on the battery for me? I will be using the same controller and CA v3. Also I am assuming I will also need the same throttle control so if possible please could you tell me where I could find this, or the spec that is required ? Thanks in advance, Richie. PS loving the drone shots! Great stuff!
Hey Richard, glad you like the videos! Cool about your potential ebike build, I would definitely do it, the Enduro Ebike is awesome platform for a high power bike. I actually sent Jimmy at Insat the measurements of the box and he came up with a design to suit, theres not a lot of room left in there once you factor in the Sabvoton controller because its quite a big controller. I wouldn't personally go any bigger battery wise even if you could because weight becomes a problem! Yes they would install a BMS however if you run as much power as I am you want a high power BMS which Jimmy said he could source but in the end we disconnected the BMS on the discharge leads of the battery and it's only used for charging and balancing. This I think is the best solution so that you dont have a situation where the BMS blows while you are out, then you would be stuck! The throttle was supplied with the Sabvoton, I dont use throttle managed by the CA, its too complicated and just adds more complexity, the throttle connected to the controller directly works perfectly with the 3 speed switch. I hope this helps!
andy kirby! Thanks buddy that's awesome information :-) I was considering mounting the controller on the undercarriage of the bike to save space for a bigger battery. I am planning on sourcing the motor CA and controller all from QS Motor company as all the connections will more likely be correct straight out of the box so I will also get them to supply the throttle as well. Any concerns on this would be appreciated, keep up the good work buddy!

awesome bike I was going to go the same route and use the same frame and forks for my build until I found out how the cops harass people in Appleton Wisconsin so I decided to go with a Schwinn occ stingray chopper frame and go with a slower setup so they will not hassle me I have a guy lacing the 500 watt motor as we speak then going to go with a 36 volt battery and 30amp controller need to keep it around 30-35 mph at the very most actually not suppose to be more than 25mph but I will just slow down and peddle if I see them lol lol thinking about putting a radar detector on it lol lmao anyway keep up the great work these videos help me and a lot of other people so thanks
Neverumind NeverTell I can reach 40 mph pedaling downhill and the police stopped me thinking they would have found some sort of engine to fine me, and I'm in the UK. Nope, all legs
I can not unlock the Sabvoton 72150 controller. I have a over voltage of 88v. But also current 150. Which I want to increase. You can tell exactly how you unlocked. I downloaded the program MQCON-current unlock.exe thanks
It sounds like you have what I want. I'm hoping to build a bike I want it to go like a 125-250cc bike. I'm thinking about building a frame. I have a 200cc street and trail bike I'm thinking about using for parts. It has something like a 21"x2.125" rim and I'm thinking about using the fork & rim, I'm not really concerned about peddels. I can't peddel well anyway, (I have bad legs.) But want to get back into riding. I wouldn't mind building a quad. But only if I can ride on the street. I just found your channel. I want to learn more about the parts on your bike. And where they are from. Thanks....
Really interesting stuff mate, that bike is smart! It goes like the clappers! What's the fastest you've had out of it? Or should I say dared to go? haha.
+Ringway Manchester hey mate! Cheers 😀 fastest I've seen with the old controller was 55mph but the new controller has a feature called flux weakening which is supposed to shift the power from torque to rpm to allow a greater top speed for the same power, I'm hoping for 60mph, then I'll stop lol! I really want to try it but the roads are far too wet and slippery at the moment! Getting the new brakes fitted tomorrow 😁
3k is seriously cheap, buy a stealth bomber and your are talking 8-10k , iv got the same motor but adaptto max e controller and my setup was about 5.5k so 3k is a bargain, this is not even the same league as those crappy ebay kits for £100.
Im new to e bikes and watched some of your vids. This one, well I don't know what the thing is or what it does. Sorry but you dont explain. Can you say what it is supposed to do?
How come no one, not once, leaves the link for the motor on the description... I am having a hard time finding e-motors online. If you guys have a place, please let me know.
Hi Andy I got my bike coming in 3weeks. I was just wondering what's the top speed on your bike ? Can it wheelie, dose 5000watt have good power. And is there any bad points about the bike ?:)
+Billy Price cool! Top speed is about 55mph (off road of course!) it can wheelie easily, even from 20-25mph ish, 5000W should be enough. There's not really any bad points, if I had to pick one I'd say the weight as it's quite heavy with the 30AH battery in.
Andy..ive been looking on your web site can you do a review on your Sabvoton MQ72260 Controller 72V 260A (550A PHASE)..iam interested in buying on but want to find out more about the product. Thank you.
@@andykirby Ok iam currant running a 3000w hub motor with a 72v 35ah battery and a 36 MOSFET Controller with has more wires then a space ship..But like yourself just more power...
@@andykirbyMy MOSFET Controller tops out at 100 amp so it says..would be good to get the front wheel up on take off like yours and Tonys....I'am also looking at that frame set that your using for you big bike looks like there loads of room to get to stuff when needed...minds so compact i have to literary disassemble the whole frame to get anything out.
I have a question Andy, I bought a 1500watt rear hub kit. I have a 52v 20 amp battery and the controller and brake levers etc that came with the kit. The pedal assist has no settings since the kit came with no onboard controller computer. just a pedal assist sensor and the disc. Only controls are the twist throttle with the red on/off button. Is there a way to add a onboard controller so I can adjust the PAS to more than one setting? I would like to be able to work harder sometimes, cause right now the bike is just a rocket and its hard to not go too fast when I get on the local bike trails, ti will do slightly over 42 mph on full throttle(this is a china rear hub kit) can I add a controller?
Hi, there must be a controller in the kit, the controller is the silver or black box which all the wires plug into. Check to see if there’s any spare unused connectors on this box, this might allow you to just add a screen with a switch that allows you to change settings etc. Take a picture of the whole setup and email it to andy@cloudsto.com
is that direct drive hub that is 2kw and you are running it at 11kw ? or you bought really factory strong hub drive that is rated 11kw ? what do you think i have 1000w direct drive can i use 2000w controller on it ?
@@andykirby ok so i should have no problem running 1kw motor at 2kw i suppose then what do you think ? and by the way that bike you made is really nice :)
Hi Andy...Id like to order this from your store and shunt as well. I have a cycle analyst but where do those 2 wires, blue and white, attach to the cycle analyst? i dont see a plug for the CA on the controller. Thanks
+ForebUtube hi! Adaptto allows more power (14kW) but mainly it can be programmed on the fly using a very well thought out menu system, also it has progressive regen braking, it has an integrated display which shows a lot of information like a dashboard. There's so many reasons haha! It also has range management to make sure you get to your destination without running out of power.
14kw is quite a lot. I think that over 7-8kw it is starting to be significantly harder to control the bike, just because is harder to keep front wheel on the ground. I was asking you, because I am hesitating if I should try sabvoton 72150 (11kw) or two times more expensive adapto.. Did you have any troubles with sabvoton regarding response time ? Did it react immediatelly, and did it follow your hand movement precisely ? I think adapto should be ok in this case. This is very important for me.
+ForebUtube hi, 14kW is a lot yes and I would now only run this amount of power with a controller that has proper torque control like the Adaptto, it's possible to set it up so that the bike is a real pussycat and will never unload all the power at once which is what the Sabvoton will do the only way to stop it is to increase the throttle delay which is still not ideal. The Adaptto is a safe way to run a lot of power and makes it useable. I think anyway!!
I totally agree with you that it is necessary to have proper torque control. And I dont want any throttle delay.. But why is the only way to increase the throttle delay ? Sabvoton is supposed to have proper torque control too.. I know that adapto has plenty other valuable functions, but i am just wondering if I could save money and work with sabvoton, or of its really not good idea.
Lets say I do not need display, charging coil, advanced BMS. Its ok for me to set it once and drive. But will I be able to do some satisfactory settings with proper torque control ?
so I have a 72 v sine wave controller and have no ida how the throttle wires hock up or any othe wires this cotroller diagram dose dot match the wiers up lol
Hi, the Sabvoton should come with a CA plug if it’s compatible. If not you can just take the main pack voltage through some thin wires and a fuse up to the CA voltage input. Then you can use the shunt that came with the Sabvoton on the negative lead of the battery, you’ll also need to connect the reference wires so the CA can read the current. If you haven’t got the CA connector or shunt with your Sabvoton you may be better just buying the CA shunt as it’s plug and play.
Andy had a look on your site controller are there 72 volt but battery missing the only place I can find them is the small green room is the battery you use costom please comment?
+Swaggy Kay things have moved on a bit now. But back then I just used the ignition wire and a sacking great fuse. These days I use an Adaptto controller via a circuit breaker. The system is always technically on as the battery management system monitors the battery 24/7.
12:34 The inner design looks pretty ugly. Sine wave controller is great. Good to see it's no longer outside under the frame which is awfull on my opinion. I could imagine China can make this sine wave controller even smaller. Europeans and americans are far behind that technology. So, better inner design, cleaner, built like a compact inner iPhone electronic design, more professional, more compact and this thing is a hit. For sure it looks great. The handling and controlling of ebikes should be as easy as ever possible.

awesome bike I was going to go the same route and use the same frame and forks for my build until I found out how the cops harass people in Appleton Wisconsin so I decided to go with a Schwinn occ stingray chopper frame and go with a slower setup so they will not hassle me I have a guy lacing the 500 watt motor as we speak then going to go with a 36 volt battery and 30amp controller need to keep it around 30-35 mph at the very most actually not suppose to be more than 25mph but I will just slow down and peddle if I see them lol lol thinking about putting a radar detector on it lol lmao anyway keep up the great work these videos help me and a lot of other people so thanks
Neverumind NeverTell I can reach 40 mph pedaling downhill and the police stopped me thinking they would have found some sort of engine to fine me, and I'm in the UK. Nope, all legs
I have a sabaton 7280 and im getting a hall error code ever since i tried to hook up a display any idea how to fix it the bike was running fine before
Is the 72v 50ah 3000w battery compatible?
All my Ebikes I have removed the ultra shitty brakes . They are bollocks . FYI I hammered (gently) one of the levers using a mallet and it snapped .
I can not unlock the Sabvoton 72150 controller. I have a over voltage of 88v. But also current 150. Which I want to increase.
You can tell exactly how you unlocked.
I downloaded the program MQCON-current unlock.exe
thanks
hi Andy, how much did you torque your swing arm connection bolt to? I built a bike like yours and can;t fin the torque info.
Thanks....
how many cells did you use for this battery
Did you saw off the side mounting brackets in the Sabvoton case to reduce the thickness? The brackets push the side panels of my eeb frame out.
+Internet Spectator Hey! Yes I got the factory to do this for me, it fits perfectly width ways with virtually no room to spare.
Thanks for the information, looks like it is time to take the hacksaw to my new kit!
How did you cut the side brackets from controller? The cut looks very accurate and smooth.
+Тарас Артюшенко good question, our supplier in China did it for us on this controller.
Is there a requirement to use this controller in any electric kit setup? Or do I need high wattage battery and a high voltage hub?
Hi. what engine did you have in it?
Can i just add this to my 1500 ebike conversion
You can, you'll need to upgrade the battery though!
Awesome bike!
Where did u get your battery
again a awesome video👍😀
+mark brouwer thank you!
Fantastic mate, those breaks look cool too. Can't wait to see some more gopro footage from the bike. Maybe some drone footage too? haha. Cheers man
+Ringway Manchester ahh yeah I'm itching to get out with the drone soon! Maybe strap a DMR radio to it lol!!!
I've heard that works well! ;) lol
I'm gonna bite ...the clappers?that like crabs .or herpes .sorry it's just I gotta ask lmao
As Bob Hoskins once said, It's good to talk!
Do you know what are the differences between old and new generation Sabvoton controlers? SVMC072150 (old) and (new) SSC072150
Hi, I actually dont sorry, I thought the main thing was the enclosure but I'm sure someone will comment below.
how much was this all together? Great vids by the way, :)
+Solar Gaming thanks for the comments, I haven't totalled it up so not exactly sure. Somewhere around 3K I guess.
andy!!! 3k? Why so expensive!!
Cos it's epic. My cromotor is in a cardboard box on the landing, as soon as I am sorted out with my lockup-workshop in Mortlake she is getting LACED!
You have no idea what bikes/motorcycle cost do you?
It is very cheap for such high end gear.
3k is seriously cheap, buy a stealth bomber and your are talking 8-10k , iv got the same motor but adaptto max e controller and my setup was about 5.5k so 3k is a bargain, this is not even the same league as those crappy ebay kits for £100.
6 years 😮🤟💯🤠🇬🇧🙏
Im new to e bikes and watched some of your vids. This one, well I don't know what the thing is or what it does. Sorry but you dont explain. Can you say what it is supposed to do?
How come no one, not once, leaves the link for the motor on the description... I am having a hard time finding e-motors online. If you guys have a place, please let me know.
Sure, here you go: www.cloudsto.com/ebikes.html
Hi friend. That FRAME is cool where can i buy it ??
Here! www.cloudsto.com/ebikes/frameset.html
Do I need a special cable to program the sabvaton, or is it just standard usb
usb or cable
Hi Andy I got my bike coming in 3weeks. I was just wondering what's the top speed on your bike ? Can it wheelie, dose 5000watt have good power. And is there any bad points about the bike ?:)
+Billy Price cool! Top speed is about 55mph (off road of course!) it can wheelie easily, even from 20-25mph ish, 5000W should be enough. There's not really any bad points, if I had to pick one I'd say the weight as it's quite heavy with the 30AH battery in.
Billy Price did u get your bike? Can you confirm if it can wheelie? If so is it anything like the stealth bomber wheelies?
Andy..ive been looking on your web site can you do a review on your Sabvoton MQ72260 Controller 72V 260A (550A PHASE)..iam interested in buying on but want to find out more about the product. Thank you.
Well there’s not a huge amount to say other than it is crazy and it’s best suited for motorcycles with a large hub motor like a QS273
@@andykirby Ok iam currant running a 3000w hub motor with a 72v 35ah battery and a 36 MOSFET Controller with has more wires then a space ship..But like yourself just more power...
A sabvoton 80A would be a good upgrade depending on your battery cells. That motor would probably do 5000W peaks without burning.
Do you have a video about your setup? Like battery throttle etc? CA?
+Jhaas42 yeah take a look at my previous videos, I've covered a lot of it.
sweet build looks like vortex one
Skip to 16:00 if you want to just see the bike
Hi what is the model number?
is that direct drive hub that is 2kw and you are running it at 11kw ? or you bought really factory strong hub drive that is rated 11kw ? what do you think i have 1000w direct drive can i use 2000w controller on it ?
It's a 5kW motor.👍🏼
@@andykirby ok so i should have no problem running 1kw motor at 2kw i suppose then what do you think ? and by the way that bike you made is really nice :)
Hi Andy...Id like to order this from your store and shunt as well. I have a cycle analyst but where do those 2 wires, blue and white, attach to the cycle analyst? i dont see a plug for the CA on the controller.
Thanks
I think we can do a controller with CA connector built in now, email me andy@cloudsto.com
Very nice stuff
Great stuff thanks.
+hhead56 your welcome!
Why anodized chainring? Must be aluminum. Get something in steel!
What are the laws in UK for an ebike with that much power regarding licensing?
dont stop ! or its 250w officer look at my epac sticker
Nicee but what did the cops says🤣
sound smart when alibabba you get from bud
Hello Andy. Can I ask why did you exchange sabvoton for adapto ? WHat was the main reasons for this change ?
What’s the name of the front sprocket I wanna order one on eBay ?
Where did you get the kickstand?
I am so jealous....... 😦
What size rims on your bike
hi andy have you got wire digrame how to wire in your sabvoton controller and the cyclist anylist
If you haven’t got the CA connector or shunt with your Sabvoton you may be better just buying the CA shunt as it’s plug and play.
thanks andy
Holy moly
Andy had a look on your site controller are there 72 volt but battery missing the only place I can find them is the small green room is the battery you use costom please comment?
Speak to a company called Insat international in the U.K., they will make you one.
+andy kirby thank andy
hey whats the measurements on your battery??
Hi there what's the power of your motor
5kW continuous.
@@andykirby ok thanks you much appreciated
Hi what was your flux weakening set at?
About 60A
@@andykirby thanks! Which motor?
Lolol the start is is just him having a convo with us.
what do you use to shut the main battery on and off before it goes to the controller
Andy what spec do you have? range at 50kmh 90kg driver
Hi Andy, at 50kmh its going to be about 60 miles+
What motor did you pair it with?
Please let me know that which motor do you use?
+Dave Dave it's a MXUS clone 4-5kW

hi Andy. do you have software to program the controller?
+listek S hi, I can't remember where I got it from now, I think I just googled "Sabvoton controller software"
Hello Sir, can you share with me why the usb driver still not recognize during installing the usb driver software?
Hi! Did you get the Regen to work?
Yes I did, I just had it activated on a button on the handlebars.
I need sabvoton controller?
Sure, head over to our store www.cloudsto.com/ebikes
Is that the em3ev 72v battery?
Noooo!!!
