Gordan driving a car : “1st gear in, now take off your foot of the clutch ever so slightly and give some acceleration, wow beautiful and now we’re off, beautiful”

i don't understand why western people really just use soy sauce for stir fries... unless its fried rice or usually not even fried rice we always mix soy sauce with other sauces like oyster sauce or vinegar. soy sauce isn't very nice on its own. :/ it is just salty. it is important to balance out the saltiness of soy sauce with something sweet, sour, and spicy if you like..
+애니 theres a high level of estrogen in soy sauce and soy products. here in england there arent many soy bean plants or Aspergillus oryzae fugus to ferment it but theres lots of wheat, rape seed, grain and herbs so we tend to not use soy (soya) as much in our foods. we should really cos it tastes amazing.
I personally agree. I don't get how people can eat soy sauce on its own. It has a very overpowering and strong taste, and yes, very salty. When you eat something with soy sauce, don't put too little, or the rest of the dish will overpower the taste, but don't put too much because the soy sauce will not only overpower the dish, it will make your dish very salty.
@@seanmcauliffe2010 @Hina Martins, As a Southeast Asian who grew up with this kind of dish, I would say Ramsay's version of this dish is quite simple, in fact too simple.
BloodyChrome sir my taste buds are the most sophisticated in the world, and when I tell you something about food you should listen carefully.Noodles are better. Also value pack hod dogs (2 USD for 12) are much better than any beef steak.
I love him, the way he describes his food. I hate broccoli but he made it seem so delicious. Hes so passionate about cooking, wish I could be half as good.
This is a very simple dish and it was fun to make. I literally just finished making this meal for my wife and I to eat for dinner tonight and she literally ate EVERYTHING out of her plate. She raved about the taste the whole time she was eating. #HappyWifeHappyHusband Some additional tips I would give in conjunction to the instructions in this video: 1. Clean your meat before anything. I usually do so by putting it in some warm water, then add salt and then squeeze fresh lime and lemons into the water. 2. Feel free to add some all-purpose or meat seasoning to your meat beyond salt and pepper. I just don't feel salt and pepper alone cut it for taste.......🤷🏾♂️ 3. When putting the noodles in your wok/frying pan, add some soya sauce to the noodles so they can also brown. 4. I used chinese brocolli and green onions instead of regular brocolli and it made a difference (in a good way of course).
+Jason Talbott Teflon is a non stick coating on the pan/wok. By using metal utensils it scratches the coating off which will cause whatever is being cooked in the pan/wok to stick on the pan/wok. You're supposed to use rubber or plastic utensils to avoid scratching the Teflon coating off.
Gordon Ramsay videos: Stains: beautifully Season it: beautifully Cut it really nice and thin: beautifully You get that lovely crunch Hot pan, touch of olive oil Done
Rice noodles in hot water soak for 12-15 mins Turn pan on cut chicken breast in half (butterfly get the chicken) Roll the chicken and slice it in half Then start slicing the chicken Slice garlic thinly Slice the broccoli small Touch of Olive oil in the pan Chicken in first let it cook then add garlic and then broccoli. Add soy sauce and take it off the frying pan Drain noodles and put aside Whisk two eggs and add to frying pan Add noodles and chicken, garlic, and broccoli mix together Finish with fresh lime Looks delicious, will be cooking tonight 🙌🏻
A little bit of olive oil.... Then add some olive oil.... Make sure to coat the pan in olive oil.... Be sure to use olive oil... Don't forget some olive oil.... I think Gordon may like to use olive oil.
Can't he speak a sentence without gaps in it? "Now these are.... rice noodles.... into a bowl... and just pour.... the rice noodles... into the bowl... "
Zino Tristan tahts what i love about him he is a food romance if that makes any sense i love his passion and how much he respects each ingredient on the plate
Edited,, probably,, but its nice because he talk only detailded things,,, you dont need to xplaine the long way just to understand the way he cook. And for me i prepfer the way he talk and explaine very well and i truly understand all his procedure..
Me and my grandma really loved this dish, its simple so it was perfect to me who had just started getting comfortable around the kitchen. I think this was actually the last dish I got to make for her before she passed last year. I haven't made it since, but I think I'll try making it again soon, maybe tomorrow. She would pour Cayanne on everything she ate, and I mean POUR, lol. It always made me wonder if my cooking wasn't up to snuff but she was the sweetest mother figure a guy could ask for, I think with age elderly folks' taste buds might not be as strong anymore so that's probably why. Hid away the cayanne in the back of the spice shelf till recently. I'm trying, if that's worth anything.
Wow, you can really tell Ramsay loves his profession. When he finished that dish it looked like he just watched a kid say his first sentence. So much passion. I oughta try some of these things. All I need are rice noodles. Hmmm
No Gordon Ramsay video is complete without olive oil, salt and pepper. Making ice cream? Add olive oil, salt and pepper! Pudding? Olive oil, salt and pepper!
I don't think I've cooked many meals without olive oil, salt and pepper... They're the most basic parts to any meal. Those and onion, chilli and garlic
If you want to take this dish to the next level and amp up the flavor then mix together a little sauce out of the following: Soy Sauce, Ginger, Oyster Sauce, Thai Chili Paste Eyeball the amounts, soy sauce is the base so a little more of that. Peel the ginger (fresh ginger is a must) and grate it into the sauce. Don't go too crazy with the Thai Chili Paste and Oyster Sauce. You really don't need a whole lot of the sauce anyway, just enough to stain the chicken/broccoli. Then, crush peanuts and sprinkle over the top. I also like to add green onion/scallions. DON'T COOK THESE TOO MUCH. You want the scallions to have a bit of a crisp, fresh crunch. This is a great base recipe that you can add more to when you're comfortable.
Also: replace the chicken with / or add shrimps. It's an unbeatable "meat" in combination with those kinds of rice noodles (imo). If you're not a big fan of shrimps: replace the chicken with mincemeat.
I remember watching this video in highschool when I was learning how to cook. I tried making this and messed up so bad. I watched this video so many times and memorized almost every line, but still it never came out the same as the video. Looking back now, I am about to graduate college, and it is so nostalgic. It is a marker for how much my cooking prowess has progressed, and the passion and love for food that Gordon has here is infectious
Yeah, I'd add definitely more than soy sauce in there. Probably a small splash of fish sauce, or hell, even a bit of oyster sauce. I like experimenting with me stir-fried dishes but I was kinda puzzled as to why he only just used soy sauce alone.
Happy that I've made this tonight, my family are shook that I can cook, epically it's my first time meal. And shook that I can cook with an help w/romsay. :)

This stuff is actually pretty hard to master.
“This is a young, tender broccoli”
Brocoli : "Blushing"
Everyone talking about how he talks, but I just learnt how to cook a dish :’)
a crap dish. A bit of fish sauce, fresh ginger and fresh spring onion would have made it. That to me was just lad, bar the lime
@@seanmcauliffe2010 Well, um, thank you? I'll try doing that some time.
@@hinam9684 please do and report back ;)
@@seanmcauliffe2010 @Hina Martins, As a Southeast Asian who grew up with this kind of dish, I would say Ramsay's version of this dish is quite simple, in fact too simple.
@@seanmcauliffe2010 thx, i really like your input albeit the insult to him
I love how Gordon respects good food. He is truly one of a kind.
Instant cup noodles, pour hot water, cover and wait 3-4 minutes. Amazing!
yeah they better than this shit
+BloodyChrome I eat it every day,its shit.40 cent noodles are so much better its insane
BloodyChrome sir my taste buds are the most sophisticated in the world, and when I tell you something about food you should listen carefully.Noodles are better. Also value pack hod dogs (2 USD for 12) are much better than any beef steak.
BloodyChrome yes. put on some cheap ketchup that is 80% water on top, and you are living the dream
pour some on your keyboard as well, it doesn't deserve to starve
I love him, the way he describes his food. I hate broccoli but he made it seem so delicious. Hes so passionate about cooking, wish I could be half as good.
This is a very simple dish and it was fun to make. I literally just finished making this meal for my wife and I to eat for dinner tonight and she literally ate EVERYTHING out of her plate. She raved about the taste the whole time she was eating. #HappyWifeHappyHusband
Some additional tips I would give in conjunction to the instructions in this video:
1. Clean your meat before anything. I usually do so by putting it in some warm water, then add salt and then squeeze fresh lime and lemons into the water.
2. Feel free to add some all-purpose or meat seasoning to your meat beyond salt and pepper. I just don't feel salt and pepper alone cut it for taste.......🤷🏾♂️
3. When putting the noodles in your wok/frying pan, add some soya sauce to the noodles so they can also brown.
4. I used chinese brocolli and green onions instead of regular brocolli and it made a difference (in a good way of course).
RicardoakaApostle you’re an idiot if you wash your meat, the heat from the pan kills bacteria, you’re just spreading salmonella all over your sink
George Kaczorowski don’t be mean.. my mans not only cleans his meat but he bleaches his greens 🥬 too! U know.. safety first🤣
And dont forget to beat ur meat before making these
Wow, u guys are so nice, treating a nice guy who just want to share his experience and knowledge with insults .
Vincent Ong stfu you sad virgin 😂
Is he really scraping a teflon wok with metal tongs?
Looks like an Iron Wok
He would definitely have expensive equipment so I wouldn't worry
It's anodized aluminum. Naturally non-stick
cause if you are using a teflon wok with metal utensils, it will scratch the teflon and make it stick the ingredients again

Sry Gordon that's a meal for 1 because you put that in front of me I'm not sharing.
This is a perfect meal after a workout. It has protein, carbs, fat, vitamins from the broccoli
rita takla And it is actually healthy

Rice noodles in hot water soak for 12-15 mins
Turn pan on cut chicken breast in half (butterfly get the chicken)
Roll the chicken and slice it in half
Then start slicing the chicken

Looks delicious, will be cooking tonight 🙌🏻
Who's here after Uncle Roger v Jamie Oliver?
No MSG. Haiyaa. At least he use wok hay.
@@Asyrawi1 Well, you don't need to use MSG if you put enough soy sauce in the dish, cos soy sauce contains MSG.
Uncle roger will be dissapointed, he use metal tongs to stir fry rice noodles.
This guy should quite TH-cam and become a professional chef.
Quit* and copy other comments much?
+Roberto Mad why do i see this exact comment like 5 times for every single ramsay video...
He IS a pro chef (7 Michelin stars). TH-cam is just an extra platform were he teaches cooking.
Gordon is a renown chef he is know all over the world of chefs
+Eric Cheng he's kidding idiots
A little bit of olive oil.... Then add some olive oil.... Make sure to coat the pan in olive oil.... Be sure to use olive oil... Don't forget some olive oil....
I think Gordon may like to use olive oil.
Can't he speak a sentence without gaps in it?
"Now these are.... rice noodles.... into a bowl... and just pour.... the rice noodles... into the bowl... "
Zino Tristan tahts what i love about him he is a food romance if that makes any sense i love his passion and how much he respects each ingredient on the plate
Well you can't hear everything if you say it too fast, more like he is trying to explain it more detailing
Zino Tristan
Yes.
That’s a sentence.
So yes,
Edited,, probably,,
but its nice because he talk only detailded things,,, you dont need to xplaine the long way just to understand the way he cook. And for me i prepfer the way he talk and explaine very well and i truly understand all his procedure..
Why does it bother you so much when you're speaking and you take a breath...That's a gape😂😂😂😂😂...wow
That's the whitest thing I have ever read
@@panda1412. wtf
As a Vietnamese I can confirm the dish that took my fridge down for a lunch is incredibly better than the one at the street
I made this and it was very delicious.
Thank you +Gordon Ramsay for this easy, fast and cheap recipe!
+Lobster with Mustard and Rice I made it too, I can't stop making it in fact... I add chilli to mine, same time as the garlic.
+Christmas Crustacean yes. chili is a must for me too
+Lobster with Mustard and Rice is it olive oil he use right?
+Dang Phuoc yes. He says so at 1:53
"touch of olive oil"
Lobster with Mustard and Rice
Wow, you can really tell Ramsay loves his profession. When he finished that dish it looked like he just watched a kid say his first sentence. So much passion.
I oughta try some of these things. All I need are rice noodles. Hmmm

This is why Gordon is far better than that chilli JAM. He knows what is wok!
and he cooks it the Asian way
(also came here after chili jam xD)
Igria E why does chili jam even exist.
He knows the better meaning of the breath of wok
No Gordon Ramsay video is complete without olive oil, salt and pepper.
Making ice cream? Add olive oil, salt and pepper!
Pudding? Olive oil, salt and pepper!
Simple and good.
I don't think I've cooked many meals without olive oil, salt and pepper... They're the most basic parts to any meal. Those and onion, chilli and garlic
Hell I dip bread in olive oil with a bit of salt and pepper in it
I always wonder why he uses olive oil on Asian dishes. That shouldn’t be ideal with the flavor pairings no?
I literally smelled it once he added the soy sauce
If you want to take this dish to the next level and amp up the flavor then mix together a little sauce out of the following:
Soy Sauce, Ginger, Oyster Sauce, Thai Chili Paste
Eyeball the amounts, soy sauce is the base so a little more of that.
If you're not a big fan of shrimps: replace the chicken with mincemeat.
why complicate things, it is good as it is.
I remember watching this video in highschool when I was learning how to cook. I tried making this and messed up so bad. I watched this video so many times and memorized almost every line, but still it never came out the same as the video. Looking back now, I am about to graduate college, and it is so nostalgic. It is a marker for how much my cooking prowess has progressed, and the passion and love for food that Gordon has here is infectious
in my hometown, we called rice noodle as 'kwetiaw'
you from Singapore?
same in indonesia
Grey Sniper I am indonesian m8
+DPWheartscream lol, I thought you were a Singaporean because kwetiauw is a most loved delicacy here
it's called mei foon in Chinese..
Quite underseasoned by south east asian standards.
Yeah, I'd add definitely more than soy sauce in there. Probably a small splash of fish sauce, or hell, even a bit of oyster sauce.
I like experimenting with me stir-fried dishes but I was kinda puzzled as to why he only just used soy sauce alone.
yeah i think this dish would be quite bland. *asian standards*
It was definitely missing ginger fried off with the garlic and chicken. would have elevated that dish to a completely new level.
I would use more soya sauce, and also use dark sauce aka cooking caramel, oyster sauce, and ginger
good
