Along the way we ride through cozy European neighborhoods and stop at the Athens Farmer's Market. The tram network and subway in Athens Greece is managed by STASY. Athens is a beautiful city!
The Athens tram is nice, and the beach connectivity is nice and all, but as a citizen I'll say that the company needs to handle it better. The frequency is inconsistent and should get better. The connectivity is really bad for no reason, while it was better before. The lines should be Syntagma-Agia Triada, Syntagma-Asklipiio Voulas, Agia Triada-Asklipiio Voulas (The rail change that Syntagma to Agia Triada would use was already made and now it's unused). Also the expansion to Peiraius was handled poorly and the the station Akti Poseidonos was never made. Trams should get the same care as the Metro, cuz it's one of the only ways to access South Athens with railway 😅

Although the layout of the tram interchange is interesting and convenient, as there is cross-platform interchange to both directions of the costal route, the trams are not timed for instant interchange and the two lines still share a common section, which reduces capacity. Before 2021, an interchange was not required as there was a route between each two of the three legs of the network.

Nice city, good weather especially for the winter, next to the city, calm people BUT kinda messy, especially with the graphiti.

The athens tram opened in 2004. Between 1977 and 2004 athens had no tram.
In my opinion, the tram should have less frequent stops and higher speeds, like a suburban railway, as currently it is often slower than the bus routes which parallel it.

I did not see the old Perama tram at Pikrodaphni, but there was one at Neos Kosmos next to the farmers market!
I hope to travel to Kalambaka Greece during the winter time :)
Sorry to tell but line has been damaged a lot so trains could coudnt come until i guess april but last time was 2 months for repearing tracks if you want go to post on my channel and see pictures of the most damaged station in karditss

It looks like they have a good system. You can probably go from the airport to Piraeus to catch a cruise. I wonder if the graffiti tram had a bathroom for the drivers?
It is a great tram system! You can actually connect from the airport using the Metro system

Yes - I hope they have more in storage! There is the Electric Railway Museum in Piraeus which might have this railcar as well

Do you have to pay if you want to go there?
There is a fee for the tram, and some of the private beaches/beach clubs have a fee. There are also free beaches in Athens! I visited Kalamaki Beach here
Sunbeds are cheap to rent at around 5-10 EUR 🌞🌞
"There's a lot of graffiti in Athens". The centre. Because you won't see them in almost any of the suburbs, and if you do, they're not nearly as many.
