My 88 lx hatch was red but its in the paint shop getting ebony black paint i had to get new quarter windows for mine and new 10 piece side moulding trim kit from LMR this has been a very stressful drawn out deal having this thing painted. My interrior is in shambles after taking out the quarter windows. Its been 400 bucks seems like every week i learn i have to have this and that so now i have over $10,000 in this car. Ì bought new wheels and tires and exhaust and windows and trim only thing left to buy is the front headlights and everything else on the outside will be brand new
@@thefoxchamber No problem brother, I've bought a 90 coupe roller with a 6'' cowl lift off hood with skinnies up front, and 9'' on the back. Looking for ideas other guys like you are doing to help me plan out the attack on mine. Great content brother, thanx, great looking fox !
this was a great video man! love to see these diy fox videos. keep it up! im about to tackle this on my car tomorrow. im gonna take all the trim, weatherstripping and mirrors off and paint them off the car but you helped a lot with showing how to remove the front and rear glass trim.
Amateur Tip. Mask off the windshield and back glass and go to town. If you break a tab or kink the trim you will regret it. Also for 1/4 windows with pitts you can use 2 part glazing putty to fill in the holes. Sand and Prime. (black primer) before paint.. they end up looking factory fresh.. The cowl and wipers come off easy.
Greatjob Jim. I need to redo mines soon. I also have to install my new windshild for Greg.badges look kool.
Thanks
GOOD JOB 👍🏿
Thanks
Cool video. Thanks
Hope it helps
I did all my trim on my Convertible in satin black. I was going to do a gloss black but I decided satin does look a lot better.
Yes, satin looks better, IMHO
Nice video, sir. Thank you. I had no idea how to go about getting that molding off.

You did not build your car for them, you built it for you. Nice touch & vid. New sub.
That's what's up 👊🏾. Welcome aboard, Jim
Great video. Suggest you use etching primer before you pair. Adhesion is much better
Thanks for the info.
You only need to use etching primer if you’re doing plastics. These are made of metal.
Excellent job on the trim brother! Keep up the great work!
Thanks
Nice video. Car looks good. I’m about to do my trim on my Oxford white 1989 notchback!

Yes, it would be better to remove and then paint. You'll probably get better results. Hahaha
I painted my wiper blade arms yesterday... now I want to paint every trim piece lol
Yea, after you see how good it turns out, it'll make you want to do the rest. Hahaha
Thanks for uploading this awesome video!! I'm about to tackle my trim on my Oxford white Fox.
Glad I could help
Great looking Fox! I want your car with black wheels. Love the Saleen wing.
Thanx, I thought about the black wheels
