A gritty reboot of Matter Eater Lad where he fucking eats people is like the Japanese exclusive Deadpool Samurai manga. It’s something that I never knew I truly wanted until I heard it for the first time, then I just don’t stop thinking about it.
Joe is on to something with that dark matter-eater lad reboot! He could be like a vampire he ate his own family stuff like that. And when the comic gets cancelled just release half a comic and say matter-eater lad ate the rest of your comic! Half the work for the full price!

And definitely deserves a 9 part build up, and in issue 9 (spoilers) he is confronted by *Wildfire* who's like: "Well Tenzil Kem, too bad your aren't ANTI-Matter-Eater Lad!" and then he punches him, in the face. Cause he can't eat him, cause Wildfire's made up of Anti-Matter.
Reminds me of “Eat-Man ‘98,” and could be interesting to see a more gory version. Though, if you want to make it topical make “Matter-Eater Lad” be the star/lead in a foodie show, while leveraging the framework of “the Aristocrats” joke (of no pauses or repeats) where the point is to be as graphically vulgar and disgusting as possible. Great gag pitches, yet, sadly it seems like it is only a matter of time... Next will be UltraNPC who isn’t really there since they don’t exist. Followed by the Social Justice Warriors where all the characters are done through first person, but are occasionally shown in distorted reflections (preferably in a Doug McLean art style).
The Aquaman pitch is incredible. Marvel You is exactly what I’ve always wanted in a Marvel comic and until it gets published I’ve been cheated of what I’ve always deserved and wanted from their heroes. I could see “Planet Thing” winning some Eisners and a Grammy. I have a pitch myself. A comic starring Lois Lane, Catwoman, Carol Ferris, Iris West and Mera. Where all these women come together and talk about their sex lives with their Superhero husbands/boyfriends while covering current events and politics. Think “The View” only with Superhero spouses/partners. And that’s the whole comic. It would be called “DC Superview” DC could make an entire 250 issue run on this book especially when the characters have actually done it so many times in the 80+ year publishing history.
For some reason the Thing proposal sounds like the comic version of a 3D soft body simulator... and Marvel You made me feel so depressed. The supervillains getting counselling from the hero is such a Freakazoid thing 😆 and Red Skull + Bubble Tea sounds like a Japanese commercial 😂 And the wolvie story made me want to burn my house down. Well done you guys 🎉

The matter eating lad story could be like a metaphor for an addiction to drugs, alcohol, or porn. He knows its bad to eat humans, but he can't stop. And since it's 2021, instead of going to therapy and getting better, he refuses to go to therapy, he asks his friends for help, and he only get worse. The plot twist is that at the end, it turns out he died in the bathroom and has been hallucinating the whole thing. Y'know, like Mister Miracle. The sequel to the wolverine/namor story is a retcon of Thanos, but he's an incel disguised as a Chad. After being rejected by death, he gets inspired by the Red Skull's vlogs and he became an incel. I can't wait for a shopping story about Wonder woman, and Steve Trevor tags along, and he's pushing the shopping cart, and pointing out things to buy, and he looks like an absolute idiot because he has no knowledge about shopping. Wonder woman and women who pass by give each other looks and shake their heads smugly at the bumbling idiot Steve Trevor. I have a great idea. Power Pack, but they all have Tik Toks. And they use their powers and they reveal their secret identities, but no one notices.
I honestly think that first person comics is not a dumbest idea ever. I did enjoy "Hardcore Henry", a movie filmed in similar manner. It can be interesting experiment.
Or you could just make a female centered comic with a permanent butt-cam placement on all panels so you always see her rear in closeup. It would be an artistic challenge to manage to show the events in a good way through between the legs of a woman. It would also by default sell because it is anti-woke.

I feel like there is cash to be made here, while at the same time not bother any of the readers with reduced content.
