"Immune keyholes" likely referances the keyholes in the series that Sora can't open with his keyblade despite somehow having the ability to open any lock. The giant keyholes in each of Traverse Town's districts comes to mind.
Yeah, someone also mentioned the un-openable chest and vault in traverse town’s first district, and the large keybole in the third district.
Ok here are all the mistakes.
1. It was never retconned that there can be more then one keyblade masters. Not only you see other people wield keyblade other then Sora in KH1 alone, Nomura confirmed in KH1 ultimania that there are others. People just assumed that as canon and went with it as a fact.
2. Sanctuary reverse message is fun to talk about, but Sanctuary is a song that Utada made not for the game. In fact she still hasn't played a kh game. It's just her songs that are used for the series.
3. There is actually more about disney made mobile kh game. We have concept arts for the game, including storyboard for cinematic.
4. Story about Nomura losing source code because of being drunk or story about creation of recoded is made up. Square just were not preserving their past titles at the time. That includes old ffs like 7, 8 or 9. That's one of the reasons models in ff10 look the way they do.
5. Dive to the heart is explained in kh3. Everytime character go there they psyudo die.
6. They literally confirm in journal in how Sora doesn't create alternate timeline. There is only one timeline. Again it's just fans trying to make it more complicating then it is.
7 Nomura is not like Toriyama in the least. He stated before he always thinks at least 1 or 2 games ahead and leaves things open so he can explore later. The plan for kh by bbs was they had things planned for the next 10 years. Confirmed in ultimania. Toriyama had to come up with story as he gone since he was writing every week, and at some point would just forget things. Also he just turns his female characters into housewives.
There are almost no retcons in kh. Only thing I can think of is Riku smelling darkness. He does recontextulize stuff. That's different.

I personally think that the points i’ve said in the video were heavily influenced by fan discussions back in the day. Those boards from khinsider and the like might have stuck with me growing up and manifested in these points.

The Sanctuary thing was such a disappointment when I learned Utada didn't write it to tie into the plot. It was pretty funny though years later as an Evangelion fan watching the EVA community try to decipher the meaning of the lyrics to Hikki's Beautiful World and Sakura Nagashi, the lyrical tracks for the credits of the first three New Theatrical Evangelion movies, as if they were literally connected to the story of NTE. Which is even weirder because One Last Kiss directly references Hideaki Anno's retirement from EVA with it's lyrics and title.

With the Tidus in Traverse Town, I actually have a theory about that.
I think the Tidus in Traverse Town is Shuyin, the person Tidus looks like as a construct of the Dream of the Fayth. Shuyin looks ever so slightly different to Tidus, just as the traverse town version is slightly different to the destiny islands one
I love how everyone says KH1 Sora is wearing red shorts when he's really wearing a onesie with a belt on it, some homemade slippers, gloves, and a jacket because his house is on the island and his old outfit from birth by sleep and other old outfits got the small and are on his room floor. The inspiration from Mickey is still there but he's still just wearing PJS the entire series except for now with KH4 someone finally changed his clothes (in KH2 Donald tells Sora in Atlantis that there forms only change because he's with him as the spell he cast to make it happen only works if he's with Sora.)
Elsa's palace being the ice maze is actually backed up by the mini map having a loading zone behind the door to the palace and if you jump around and skipping loading zones and to get out of bonds deep beneath the map you can hit a loading zone right where the map says which just loads the map; the game also has snow coming up a hill when chase Elsa down to the town even though the blizzard should be going down and the boss is a ice heartless which doesn't relate to Hanz who mind you doesn't have any dialog so that is very very likely true and it's backed up more by what Larxen says to Sora about Elsa, Elsa was the heartless and the snowman sacrifices itself to show her that her powers aren't evil making her go back to normal but Disney probably stopped Nomura causing to reuses everything and add Hanz in instead.
Tbf Nomura makes an Ultimania for every game that clears up a lot of things and in a recent interview he did admit to changing certain plot points to make it so Roxas could return so he could have took enough fans feedback the entire series not mention a lot of things get mistranslated or straight up changed by the translation team, like Kairi was actually the one who decided willingly to stay behind in melody of memories as she felt bad because she was why he disappeared. The only time the translations are accurate is only in the Ultimania's for some reason but if you read those and the JP script it's incredibly consistent.
Honestly with how haphazardly the Roxas/Ventus situation was handled, if Nomura was planning on Roxas return, feel it wouldve been much more easily explained if Roxas was simply Ventus with amnesia.
It wouldve made much more sense to explain Roxas having a separate body to Sora (couldve been that the organization found Ventus body in Castle Oblivion).
It wouldve made sense to say a complete Ventus heart was released from Sora when he sacrificed himself and his heart simply found its way back into its body, with the Organization attempting to convince Roxas that he's nobody.
I felt this explanation wouldve deepened ventus character tremedously and created an interesting dynamic with the Wayfinder trio during his return.
Instead now we have two exact copies of the same character model, and needed multiple dumbass canon-breaking explanations like puppet bodies and "nobodies growing hearts" just for Roxas to come back.
@@yderga8707 Actually Roxas has darker hair than ventus and his hair is also shaper so they ain't the exact same model not to mention the hue of their skin are actually slightly different shades but very slight ya wouldn't notice but it's their and a complete ventus heart being released would have been impossible as Sora and Ventus are connected it would ☠️ Ven and defeat the whole purpose of Roxas being the nobody with a heart of his own Roxas is just the extra parts of Sora and Ven's heart that wasn't needed and it ended up creating him giving him his own heart that's like Roxas whole thing that and him fighting for a tomorrow with his friends which he finally got. Also not to mention Roxas and Ven sound complete different their are a lot of differences between them ya just got to analyze them, for instance Roxas is actually left handed and as a left handed person we learn to do things with our right hand because live around people who use their right hand but we still need to do writing and coloring with our left that's why Oathkeeper goes to his left hand when he weilds it and Oblivion (Xion's old keyblade) cause Oathkeeper is his keyblade and he's naturally left handed yet again another difference between the characters.
Personally I'm happy with how he made Roxas and the days trio come back, I love Roxas so I wouldn't have it any other way.
@@Supersonicblue1027 Ventus leaving Soras heart wouldn't have killed him, its presumed that by the events of KH1 his heart became complete, which was the reason why Sora was unable to summon the keyblade until then it was just asleep.
While never confirmed its heavily eluded to that Ventus heart left Sora and went into Roxas and had a staple role in his development. Its also presumably the reason why Roxas could even use the keyblade considering its directly tied to the heart.
I love how people try to justify the Ventus/Roxas situation but honestly there's no difference in their design. Theyre carbon copies of each other. I know people have learned to love Roxas and Ventus separately now after over a decade of having the two characters be individuals, but that doesnt excuse the fact that its sloppy writing that wouldve been much cleaner and made much more sense if the characters were one in the same.
Like I said before, he had to break multiple parts of the games canon just to justify Roxas return. Now that Nobodies can grow hearts it diminishes their struggle, and for that matter why didn't Axel grow a heart separate from Lea if that were the case? Also the idea of creating an unlimited amount of puppet bodies that seemingly are made of flesh and are indistinguishable from a normal human cheapen any tension in the game. Because any character that "dies" can either grow a new heart or be made a new body. When the puppet concept was limited to Xion and Repliku it was made evidently clear that they were unstable abominations which added to the conflict.
@@yderga8707 What do you mean the kingdom key L only chose Sora orginally because Riku fell to darkness and Sora, Kairi, and Ven's light outshown that but when Riku told Sora the truth Sora wavered letting his darkness out a little and the kingdom key L went to it's orginal master until Sora showed it his support system that always keeps him from falling into darkness and it went back to him choosing Sora to truly be it's master.
Also I should tell you this but in kingdomhearts the keyblade being tied to heart is actually a lie Terra proved that in birth by sleep as it's tied to the soul cause he lost his heart and body to darkness but his soul and mind refused it and he used his memories to take over his amor summoning his keyblade.
The reason Roxas was able to uses the kingdom key L is because Sora was asleep, chain of memories happens because the organization wanted to get rid of Sora so Roxas could use the kingdom key L which sorta worked and at the final mission of days Roxas realized the kingdom key L was Sora's which is why summoned his own keyblade Oathkeeper and Xion's keyblade Oblivion and if you notice in his final fight during Kingdomhearts 2's intro he summons those 2 keyblades again and not the kingdom key until his final cutscence where Sora wakes up.
If Roxas really had Ventus's heart and soul or he would have been able to use Ven's keyblade but he couldn't which confirms what days literally says on the box "Roxas the nobody with a heart" which really means soul, and we clearly see in 3 he has his own heart and soul entirely separate from Sora and Ven.
Also in BBS Sora has dark dark brown hair, in KH 1 it's just Dark brown hair and in KH 2 it has shades of blond and is lighter due to Roxas (KH2 and KH2.5 final mix ultimania's comfirm this) which is more evidence of Roxas being separate this is also why Sora was able to come back after being a heartless and can still use his darkness as a form; but back to the hair in KH3 when Aqua wakes Ven Sora's hair becomes Dark Dark Brown with the blond spots or highlights still remaining confirming until Ven was woken up by Aqua his heart was still with Sora not Roxas and when Roxas leaves Sora, Sora's hair goes back to being just Dark Dark brown and stays that color.
Nowhere has it ever been hinted or alluded to that Ven left during KH1 it stayed with him because it knew it'd be safe with him that's another reason why Sora was able to remain sentient as a heartless his own light along with Ven gave him that strength a strength he made his own.
He didn't break any lore the reason the org members didn't grow separate hearts is because they were all actually the orginal person but through magical means or accidents they became nobodies that's why when they woke up as their whole self they were in the spot they were before becoming nobodies. Xemnas was a true nobody and Roxas was special case as I've made apparent he was made from the extra light between Sora and Ven essentially Sora and Ven are Roxas's actually biological dads; and Xion grew a soul due to loving Roxas so much and Axel/Lea. Lushu was always just Lushu.
@@Supersonicblue1027 His ability to weild the keyblade was directly tied to his connection to Ventus, as the ability to wield a keyblade is inherited. Or at least it was until that was retconned in DDD with Axel just magically obtaining one. Riku and Kairi were both passed down the ability to weild Keyblades from Terra and Aqua respectively. Sora was never handed down the ability to weild a keyblade. Arguably, this is also the reason why in Hollow Bastion, Sora was able to retrieve the Keyblade from Riku, presumably by calling on the hearts to those close to him, including ventus, which is the significance of the line "my friends are my power" which was stated originally by Ventus.
I'm like 99 percent sure that "the chasers" where in reference to birth by sleeps original use of the way finder trio as I'm pretty sure that I heard once that the design of the way finders trios armor was one of the first things designed and that originally they where going to be a group of keyblade hunters who tracked down and presumably killed keyblade welders but that idea was scrapped early on so it maybe by the time of the English release square had changed their mind on what the way finder trio was going to be.

I'm not sure where the myth that there can only be one keyblade master and that this was 'retconned' later even comes from. Sure riku tells that to sora but how could he prove that? Thats just riku's interpretation and a way of kicking sora while he was down. Specially considering Mikey has a keyblade in kh1 😂 so it's the easiest myth to disprove.
I forgot the exact point in the game where they say there can only be one, but i remember it being in the first game.
Somewhere along Squall (Leon) learning about Sora’s ability to wield the keyblade.

I read a comment on a retrospective video that said it was just a weird translation, the actual literal translation would have been "hero of the Keyblade", but the translators just so happened to go with "Keyblade master" in the English version and it ended up screwing them later. Nomura's a hack but he's not braindead.

Something that helps me with the strange and sometimes convoluted writing is to remember that at its core the games work on a sort of dream logic. At the start of KH1 we have Sora waking from a strange dream and saying "but it wasn't a dream...or was it" which sort of sets the tone that reality in this series is more dream-like than in our own. And dreams are often convoluted but still often manage to impart strong emotional impact.
That’s a better way to look at it. :) i guess i was just obsessed with the narrative after sinking a lot of time to the series

I can actually help out on two of the missing sections(granted this video was a while back so others may have covered it already.
The 3DS post office package emblems is referring to the post office section of dream drop distance in traverse town having the reaper decal from the world ends with you on some packages. It's missing from the 2.8 version and is exclusive to the 3DS version of dream drop for some reason.
We have to save sora is a pretty easy one. In the first trailer of KH1 text appears over the screen saying a lot of weirdly specific things that would later apply to the series like "we have to save sora"
Unfortunately those two are the only ones I can say I know for sure.
That’s really helpful. I only played the original 3ds version of DDD, and am not aware of such changes in the ps4 version. As for the “we have to save sora” entry, I guess I was just too young when that was shows AND not well-versed in “ancient” (not really) media.

great video but one thing I want to point out is that I think the cover art locations point is most likely referring to the fact that the cover art for 1,2, and 3 are located in places that are relevant to the next numbered title. For example, KH1 has the world that never was, KH2 has the final world, and KH3 is most likely quadratum.

With the fact that there were assets for Toy Story in the files of KH1, and it leading to Toy Story in KH3, I have no doubt at some point (hopefully KH4) we'll get Treasure Planet.
I have an assumption that since Sora (in Canon) has essentially been banished to the afterlife, they're gonna try and introduce a lot of new worlds that we haven't seen before for phase 2.
My predictions for new worlds are Star Wars, Treasure Planet, Atlantis (maybe), and it's not likely, but an actual Lilo & Stitch world. At some point in Canon, 626 crashes in Kauai. I'm looking forward to seeing Sora realize how fitting of a name 'Stitch" is.
That’s a great insight. I think KH4 would be fitting and the apt game to drastically change the series’ direction. I hope Nomura considers the long time fans and their growing taste instead of trying to capture the younger market.

First off, this was really good video. Second, I know what the Dream Drop Distance Postage Stamp thing means. In the original version on the 3DS in the post office area in Traverse Town you can see different postage stamps on some boxes then on the port version that came out on the Playstation 4.
