- In this video we'll introduce you to our brand new Wilderness Beaver canal boat before we start renovating.
These boats were first built in the 70's in the UK and became very popular due to the look and size. We are SO excited to have one of our own to renovate and can't wait to get started.
Join us on this journey as we embark on a new project of restoring this 23ft beauty!

I would love to board your beaver sometime. Some older beavers are pretty beat up inside, but your beaver appears to have not been worn out too much and pretty well taken care of.
Mine dream is to have a houseboat and when I got with my partner I told him this he said when we can afford it then why not I love he open to ideas

Are you aware that these boats are still being made as the rights to them has been obtained by Clearwater Boats and infact exhibited at the recent boat show.
Hi Gary! Yes thank you! We've been following Clearwater boats for sometime now. A new shell might be something we consider in the future but for now we're happy with ours as it carries some history :) Would love to see the beaver boats at the boat show next time!
Chances are your boat is a lot more solid than anything made nowadays. They used to overdimension glassfiberhulls ridiculously back then. Like an inch thick.

This is wonderful! After many Summers of living on my sailboat I'm now planning on a few years of seeing the UK by canal boat. I had an expensive divorce a while ago so the budget is small. Could you give me some idea of what one might expect to spend on a lower-end, small and simple but comfy and ready for the water, canal boat? I watch sales online but it would be nice to hear from someone who's been through the process.
Hey! Thank you! That sounds like a lovely plan! Canal boats can be quite a bit more expensive than a fiberglass boat so if you're on a budget they may be a good option. We went to view 3 other boats before buying this one - I'd recommend looking on apollo duck - you can filter by budget :) it all depends on size & condition but you could probably find something suitable for 10K-20K ish. Keep an eye on ebay too as there is sometimes some really great boats!!
