    Just a note...
    This is all for low pressure systems. When your system and/or differential pressures are in the thousands, ball and butterfly valves disappear, and globe and gate valves are the rule.
    Also, cheap globe valves may be intended to be directional. But the higher grade models will gladly hold several thousand psid indefinitely, w/o leaks. Dual disc gate valves will hold their pressure either way too. In many cases, due to the high effort necessary to operate valves under high pressure, pilot valves are part of the system as well, and are almost always some form of globe or needle valve.

      it is not true at all, bro, in aircraft, most buffterfly valve is used for high pressure system

    • @ChristnThms
      @ChristnThms 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kinanfadel1116 servicing the valves is a whole different discipline than purchasing. I have no clue what the commercial versions cost. But I'm quite sure that the globe valves are among the more expensive, possibly only being exceeded by the double disc gate valves. They remain in use, not because they're cheap, but because when you need to control or regulate several thousand PSI differential, everything else fails.

      Ball valve not used for control flow . Ball valve is used for on/off operation . And specifically for frequent use, as found in a truck of water tanker .

    In the globe and solenoid valve the flow, as shown, is in the wrong direction. The flow should enter the valve from the top. If it enters from the side below the plug / disc, there's the risk pressure will force the plug / disc up. Whereas if the flow enters the top side, pressure will keep the plug / disc down
