I am beyond proud of you for staying! I remember years ago when I had to go to rehab for iv drug use, I deliberately chose a rehab place on top of a mountain in Spain as I just knew I needed to do as much as possible to stop myself from running away. I can still remember the internal battle I had to face and overcome. Let's just say I was extremely dramatic, lots of tears and tantrums. Lots of emotions being released that had built up over years. Just give in to them, feel everything you need to feel. I can see you are stronger today than yesterday, you have earned a piece of armour. Its just lots of little battles, usually in the dead of night when you're alone that you do most of the fighting....and WINNING. Keep us updated and always share your feelings, your story is immensely important. Hugs from England. X

I think you should stay there as long as they think you need cause you have been so ill for so long time so please let them help you as much as possible.
Hello sweet fighter. I am 14 years recovered from a 23 year long eating disorder. I've had FULL freedom from my ED for 7 of my 14 recovered years. I started doing EMDR 7 years ago, 7 years into my recovery, to address the trauma that was still stored and preventing full freedom and it was my miracle and allowed me to have true freedom from my eating disorder. When I settled into active recovery about 10 years ago (it was 4 years of struggle before I fully got the hang of recovery) I became a social worker. When I found my freedom through EMDR, I knew my purpose was to share it and help others heal. So I went back to school and got my MSW at age 42, and today I'm an EMDR/trauma therapist specializing in domestic violence and eating disorders in my own private practice. I could have NEVER guessed I would be a therapist who helps others heal from ED. I could have never EVER imagined having actual freedom from my ED. But I knew I wanted recovery and I wanted freedom and I wanted a life of purpose and joy so I took it ONE MOMENT AT A TIME. I took it second by second by second when I first entered residential treatment those 14 years ago. And when I got the hang of recovery 4 years after going into treatment, I still took it one moment at a time. And when I was recovered for those first 7 years and wanted true freedom, I took it second by second and moment by moment. And during my EMDR journey, I took it second by second and stayed present in the moment and did not let myself search for future outcomes. And today, I have a life where I am able to live in the truth of my life AS IT IS, in the present and in the moment. Even if the moment is one of sadness or anger, I am able to stay present in that moment because I have the solid foundation of a truly healed mind. And every single day, as I live life in the present moment, I have JOY and PURPOSE. Even when I go through really hard things, I have joy and purpose. Just take it one SECOND at a time. If you take it one second at a time, eventually you will be able to take it one minute at a time and eventually you will be able to live every day in the presence of your life, as it is without being stuck in your mind in the past fear and trauma and without fear of the future. You'll be able to be present without worrying about potential future hardships and trauma and live in the present of life without trying to avoid pain and traumas that haven't happened yet in an attempt to feel safe...you will have TRUE internal safety, security, stability and love that come from within YOU and are not dependent on other people or circumstances and THAT is true freedom.
I'm so glad your giving the situation a try. I know how painful it can be, when your trying to recover from an addiction, and your vulnerable and you need help and support, and how painful it can be how clinical the environments can be. How rigid and complicated and inconvenient, and how stressful it is when you feel powerless. But your doing so good, stay focused on your goals.
It is beautiful that you are sharing this powerful journey of recovery on youtube. I HOPE IT GOES VIRAL. The exposure could help alot of people, and get you the money to get really good treatment.
You stayed!!! Winning daily battles turns into your Victory! Allow yourself grace when you feel overwhelmed, allow that feeling to pass through and tackle the next battle. You can do this! 🙏🧡
i am battling metal illness myself but i do have good days and bad days but i know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you all the best and to have a healthy life.
You are an inspiration, to anyone no matter their struggles, whether it's an ED or any kind of struggle, mental or physical, you are a ray of light and I look forward to your videos because I love your personality and your sheer honesty, you are so very loved and special, please please please stick with it, YOU'VE GOT THIS! you will do it and you can do it, much love from the UK.
Hi, I've never comented on anything on youtube in my life, but this time I really want to. I've watched all of your videos and you really have a great intrspective and the ability to explain your situation and feelings to us. I can understand you, i think. Especially now in the hospital, where you came for help, but didn't get any emotional support. This can make you feel even more lost and alone. Unfortunatelly treating our mental helth is still far from ideal. Allover. Not enough money, doctors, emotional support etc. And it's good that you realized, that they can mostly give you just medical help. Better than nothing, you need it. You just need to take the best you can get and this hospital is the best thing at the moment. And I am sure, you will slowly start to feel better. It was such a relief to see you today, looking so much better than yesterday. It's a success. And you made a difference in your thinking, bravo!
I’ve watched every single video of yours several times. I am so so so beyond happy you stayed!! I give my husband daily updates as you give them! GIRL YOU ARE STRONG!! You CAN do this!!!! God is with you,he has his arms around you and is guiding you!! I’m so proud of you!
@@liquefaith Thank you! I am very serious tho. I look for your videos EVERYDAY now! You are inspiring people!! This may be your purpose-helping others in your same situation!!! Gods put you here for a reason!
Great final quote! However, I don’t think you’d like to revisit this moment of your life or look back at it with any fond memories. I think you see the situation for what it is now, and that’s a positive thing!
I'm a recovering control addict. It took me until my late 40's to let go of it. My life was so messed up until I gave up trying to control everything and everyone. I feel for you having to let those caring for you have control. I know you can do it though. I have faith in you! 😍🥰😘🙏
You are doing so well, even your face is glowing. You are so brave and you are on the road to recovery and healing. God is our rock, strength and support. Like you say, we are all on this journey together, the mountains we have to climb may all be different, but when we realise that we all have love and support and we can all get the victory 🙏🏻
I am glad you are staying in the life boat! You got this, you deserve this, you need this. The journey has just begun. Some day you will be able to help others to live, and to live well.
I’m happy to hear that you are letting God guide you thru this journey. You sound much better knowing that you are there to get well. I’m praying that you continue with this program so that you will walk again. Your such an amazing women! Daily videos will be great. ❤
You deserve a healthy and happy life. I’m so encouraged for you. Clearly you are stronger than Anorexia or you wouldn’t have survived this far. I hope tomorrow is even better.
@@MelB868 maybe traumas? We don't know. Right now she only needs to focus on the here and not and not hating herself or beating herself up for getting anorexia in the first place.
I'm in bed a lot too with heart/lung disease, lung surgery 8 years ago, and a carotidcartery stent last year. Right now I have bronchitis. You sound lije you are ready to take charge with the positive behavior and decision making in healing. Hope you and your med staff learn from one another.
Thank you for your video today. You are transforming on the screen and it’s marvelous! Giving glory to God, fighting your fear, and submitting to Him!❤️
Way to go, my friend. You see, you are still in control- maybe not in control of how your broccoli is cooked (😂), but in control of the important choice: to accept the medical monitoring and support you need while you bring yourself back from the brink. You sound like someone on the road to success! ❤
So proud of you for staying at the hospital, finding your rational side and your own stubborn determination to get well, realising that for now that means staying at the hospital and going through the tough bits but BECAUSE you will reach your future goals with Gods help. The love you are searching for will find you but firstly you have to love yourself and believe in yourself, you don't need love from those nurses. NO! from your higher power, this wonderful community and people you will meet in your future. Keep positive and radiating positivity and you will attract it back (yes even to the staff as hard as it is) ❤️✨🌈 you are a beautiful soul but when the anorexia gains control like yesterday it creates fear and distress and anger. That is not the real Angelique. What I did to brighten up my room was get fluffy blankets, cushions, colouring paper and pens and made positive quotes and affirmations to surround me. You are such a strong person in character so I know you will be able to get through this hospital admission. We are all here for you and with you. Upload as much as you need xx Ps the weird blood sugar drops are common in refeeding. It happened to me too. They called it "dumping syndrome" but it rectified fairly quickly so go with it and as you say, let go of the things beyond your control as it's wasting your precious energy ❤️ at least now above 3 there's no need for extra glucose or meals 🙏 I noticed yesterday when you were at the window and today that there is light shining in on you. Even in your darkest moments. This is God's light 🙏✨❤️ take care Angelique xx You CAN do this 💪❤️ Ps how I coped too was to be visited often by the hospital chaplain. Maybe if you ask there may be someone who can come and see you there to pray and someone who is not involved with the medical/refeeding side of things xx Focus on the nice foods to enjoy eating at the end of your hospital stay. Hospital food in the Netherlands sounds as bad as in the UK but you have to see the funny side of it. Like the disintegrating broccoli. I had these "omelettes" that were like leather and impossible to cut and chew. Honestly they could do some damage if thrown like a boomerang! 🤣 Other meals were unrecognizable so I used to play a mental game of "guess the meal" and give a critique and score out of 10, lol.... ANYTHING to get me through it!!!! Loved the quote of the day as it's so true. it's very easy to look back at our old lives with nostalgia and forget all the negative things that were going . Living in the moment and focusing on the here and now will definitely create a more positive future. For now live in the moment 😊❤️
@@liquefaith aww 🥰 so lovely to get a reply from you and glad you found my comment uplifting and helpful Can't wait to see what you do with your room. Have fun with the food "games" take care of yourself lovely ❤️
Wow wow wow, what a different head space you have found today. It is wonderful that you are staying. I hope you consider staying longer than necessary to keep getting stronger. Keep at it, you are strong and your recovery and healing is beautiful. You can do this. Much love and peace.
I am so proud of you. Thank you for sharing. Your videos are inspiring. God Bless you and give you the strength and graces you need to get through this. Your motivation and tone are contagious. Thank you dear💕
You have taken the first step which is the BIGGEST thing you will ever do. A cozy room really doesn't matter because it is for function and you don't want to remember it .Don't even try to think of the leaving day. TAkE IT HOUR BY HOUR. So proud of you and sending good vibes x
So happy to see you again so quickly. 💓 Stay strong, get healthy, food is your medicine. Once you're finished there with medical assistance, you can make all your favorite foods. Right now, food is nutrition and medicine. You go girl!!! When you feel bored, You could even give them a fun show on the camera. Keep your spirits up and we are continuing to lift you in prayer to HIS Divine Hands.. When you feel like crying or you're feeling sad, please sing praise and worship songs. It instantly changes my spirits and lifts me back up. Maybe it will work for you too. I can get you a Playlist if you'd like. You ARE strong, you ARE able, you ARE loved.... Big hugs.
I couldn’t love this video more. You are doing this. Keep it up, and I am going to try to follow your lead and do the things I need to do to become happy with myself. I can’t wait until your next video. ❤
Do not leave and do not give up. You are a strong person and you can handle what comes your way. I think the longer you are there the nicer the nurses will be to you because they will get to know you. The bottom line is they are there to help you get better.
Yes, it is good to see you too. You are looking better, dear. I and many others believe in you coming through. Praying for you to experience the tender compassion and support of the Lord.
You can do this brave, lovely, wonderful Lique. Thousands of us are sending love prayers and all the positive things we can think of. Just think if we all came to visit you - the line would stretch all down the streets. That is how much support you have ❤❤❤❤

Dear Sweet Lique … when you said “food is my medicine” it brought tears to my eyes. You know this journey is so very hard; but you are willing to give it your all to have a brighter future! Also, the text you read so beautifully, is SO true; and the smile on your face when reading is was BEAUTIFUL. Sending you such BIG hugs and lots of love!! 💕

I’m really glad to hear you stayed spite been so hard, just keep focus on the possible outcome, you do look better today, we’re here when u need a friend!
Many of us have been in situations that are almost impossible to get through, anxiety is high as is the concern that things may turn out as we need them to. You are strong enough to do this, I have no doubt. So often I've thought how graceful you are handling the trials in your life. I wish I had your determination. Know that you are making a difference! Your faith is one of the most powerful tools you have. Remember that when you're scared & doubtful. Your thought process is very good &I think you're on the right track as wrong as things may feel.. I really hope that things fall into place to keep you on the road to getting better. Thank you! Big hugs & prayers always!
When you feel like you know better than the hospital, remind yourself that all your education, experience and knowledge has resulted in your near-death, so perhaps there might be something they know that you don't.
Hey Angelique, I don't know if it is reverse diabetes. I recognize the hypo story from when i was in this a few years ago. At home, where i ate less, i didn't have them, while i did get them in the hospital. The hypo's by day dissapeared after a few days while those a night stood for approximatily three weeks.Your body is just deregulated It seems like as if it is getting better for you but if you still need to wake up at night, it maybe helps to plan a (nutri drink) meal at night, because a planned one gives less stress. And it is good to see that you are a lot more positive today! i really hope for you that you can organise a helpful caring place for after this intern treatment
I’m SO proud of you!! I know it was not easy to stay but you did it! These aren’t easy times for you, but I am praying for you! I think this hospital stay could help you save your life. And I want that!💕

I like what I’m hearing! You are so smart. I think the goal of being strong enough to walk again is an excellent one. ❤
❤️
God is so good! Your going to get there I believe it.🙏❤️🌹
I'm so glad your giving the situation a try. I know how painful it can be, when your trying to recover from an addiction, and your vulnerable and you need help and support, and how painful it can be how clinical the environments can be. How rigid and complicated and inconvenient, and how stressful it is when you feel powerless. But your doing so good, stay focused on your goals.
Thank you dear! 🙏🏻💖
We all are rooting for you Lique…the comments that we send are filled with love and prayers ❤❤❤

It is beautiful that you are sharing this powerful journey of recovery on youtube. I HOPE IT GOES VIRAL. The exposure could help alot of people, and get you the money to get really good treatment.
I am so happy that you stayed, we are so many supporters around the world thinking of you 🙏🌸
Thank you dear! 💜
You stayed!!! Winning daily battles turns into your Victory! Allow yourself grace when you feel overwhelmed, allow that feeling to pass through and tackle the next battle. You can do this! 🙏🧡

Wow… thank you for the big compliment… 🙏🏻💖
Thank you so much dear! Happy with your comment 🙏🏻💖
Soooooo sweet of you! 🥰

It's important to listen to your body. Take good care of yourself. You are worth it 😊 Be compassionate to your self.
I'm a recovering control addict. It took me until my late 40's to let go of it. My life was so messed up until I gave up trying to control everything and everyone. I feel for you having to let those caring for you have control. I know you can do it though. I have faith in you! 😍🥰😘🙏
Thank you Michelle 🙏🏻💖
Same here! I'm about to turn 40 and just letting go of this ❤

I am so happy at your new confidence! That's right. They don't have to like you. Just keep loving yourself!
Wow!! You are so resilient!! Love your self reflection and seeing the bigger picture!! Good job.
❤️
Sending much love ❤️ Sharon❣️
Wishing you lots of love and strength too dear! ❤️❤️
So happy to see you this morning, my friend!!

Thank you for your video today. You are transforming on the screen and it’s marvelous! Giving glory to God, fighting your fear, and submitting to Him!❤️
Very welcome! And indeed God at work… 🙏🏻💖
This too will pass ... You are strong .. surrender and you will get well 🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you Kathryn 🙏🏻💖
So proud of you for fighting for yourself and fighting through the fear. I am cheering you on!
Thank you Ora! 😘
Way to go, my friend. You see, you are still in control- maybe not in control of how your broccoli is cooked (😂), but in control of the important choice: to accept the medical monitoring and support you need while you bring yourself back from the brink. You sound like someone on the road to success! ❤
Laughed about your broccoli comment 😁
Upload as much as you need xx
Ps the weird blood sugar drops are common in refeeding. It happened to me too. They called it "dumping syndrome" but it rectified fairly quickly so go with it and as you say, let go of the things beyond your control as it's wasting your precious energy ❤️ at least now above 3 there's no need for extra glucose or meals 🙏
I noticed yesterday when you were at the window and today that there is light shining in on you. Even in your darkest moments. This is God's light 🙏✨❤️ take care Angelique xx You CAN do this 💪❤️
Ps how I coped too was to be visited often by the hospital chaplain. Maybe if you ask there may be someone who can come and see you there to pray and someone who is not involved with the medical/refeeding side of things xx
Focus on the nice foods to enjoy eating at the end of your hospital stay.
What an uplifting comment! Thank you so much! Will follow your tips n brighten up my room and viewing the food 😁
Lots of love to you too! ❤️❤️

Wow wow wow, what a different head space you have found today. It is wonderful that you are staying. I hope you consider staying longer than necessary to keep getting stronger. Keep at it, you are strong and your recovery and healing is beautiful. You can do this. Much love and peace.

Very welcome dear! 😘
Big hugs.
Thank you Janel! I love to sing Praise as well 🙂🙏🏻❤️

You go girl! 👍🏻❤️
Do not leave and do not give up. You are a strong person and you can handle what comes your way. I think the longer you are there the nicer the nurses will be to you because they will get to know you. The bottom line is they are there to help you get better.
I admire your positivity and endurance. You are a strong woman. Keep the faith, stay in prayer and you will succeed!

Amazing quote, thank you for repeating it. I missed it the first time. Stay strong queen.
Lique. You are such a special, beautiful person. You’re in my daily prayers. Xxx
Thanks Ray! 🙏🏻❤️
When you feel like you know better than the hospital, remind yourself that all your education, experience and knowledge has resulted in your near-death, so perhaps there might be something they know that you don't.
Spot on.
Good point.. 👍🏻😘
I’m SO proud of you!! I know it was not easy to stay but you did it! These aren’t easy times for you, but I am praying for you! I think this hospital stay could help you save your life. And I want that!💕

One step at a time. Hang in there. You’ve GOT this!!!
