The church became so quiet and tolerant,
that now they are not tolerated themselves.
    Silence = Compliance and Consent

My Husband and I have been talking about this. I have children as young as 8 yo come to our Wed night kids church. 3 young girls 12, 11, 8 have professed to like girls. We had 9 kids in our class now, its 5.
And they are consistent, one now carrys her Bible in every Wed. (I know that doesn't mean much, but, I love God because I Love His Word, and believe the Holy Spirit is doing the work through the truth that I teach, in fact, I know the power of the Gospel and of Gods Word. Our hearts burn, and we hunger, and are around many who are apathetic and slaves of "The American Gospel" this is an excellent podcast, and is confirming of how we too are viewing things.
Judgment begins at the house of the Lord.....

      Why?
      Turn your back on it.
They've turned their backs on the Word.
      I don't need a church.

Pastor Todd had a great series - Taking Up Your Cross
if we don't DIE to SELF
there is no way we can in our own flesh
    LIVE FOR GOD
    we may like,
    we may cheer,
    we may be a fan,
    even follow,
but to be anything less than wholly desiring and dedicated
to please and do God's will in our lives
    will only happen upon submission,
giving up the keys to the captain of the ship,
true repentance, and a turn about from what we were,
to what we can and will be in Him.

What an essential conversation for the church to understand what is going on spiritually in our physical world that Adonai created. It only goes downhill unless you know The Lord as Saviour. Jesus came to divide and conquer. But many do not want to hear that because they do not teach the full counsel of His Word fearing men, but good shepherds fear The Lord Almighty. There is hope for our times. When everything comes to the fulness of all His glory will be in The Lord's future physical Kingdom that believers are in spiritually now both Jew and Gentile. Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse - as well as the late great Dr. J. Vernon McGee both do a great exposition on "Common Grace". What was commonly preached in America in more sacred times, is astonishingly different to the weak milquetoast teaching and preaching in many churches in America today. Little wonder, we have seen the enemy and it is us, we have been compromised from within.

Pastor Darryl recently did a study on Psalms - one of my many favorites is Ps 37 - the steps of a good man, are ordered of the Lord (i.e. - daily divine appointments we don't pencil in on our Day Runners) ... and what Darryl says, if you are walking in the Word, hungering to be in fellowship to learn what is taught (discipleship) then you are honoring God, you are doing God's will, Nothing better will we do now in this world for our assignment or the next.

I believe it was Paul Washer who once remarked “the most godless country on the face of the earth.” While certainly not a popular opinion, especially given the recent meteoric rise of nationalistic tendencies driven by the fusing of so-called “Christianity” and politics, it is necessary to identify the problem. And the problem is that this country has long since turned its back on anything even resembling a biblical ethic. Thanks for this discussion.

What makes you think that God will bless this nation again or turn things around? It may get worse. He is not looking for our comfort but for us to preach the gospel. It’s about HIM not America.

God not only gives the seared over,
(He could still redeem, He still could forgive, He still loves - not His choice people perish)
but rather, He says like a spurned husband or wife,
fine - you don't want me,
you won't find or have me,
    you have your wish,
    a godless life ...
unfortunately, there are not enough distractions in the world
we could fill that void, that hole, that emptiness.

since the 60s people have been saying God is dead
but if God is dead, then we are dead as well
God is the God of the Living,
the good news for Christ followers - is greater is He that is in you
than he that is in the world

At 1st it may be counterfeits,
    but worse yet later,
left to ourselves without checks and balances,
    we confuse liberty and freedom,
    and become enslaved,
deceived into thinking we rule and are like God
when we are far far from Him

All humanity has been under God's judgment since the Garden of Eden. God's judgment is global.
The only way for anyone on earth to not be under judgment is to personally (not nationally) repent and trust in Christ to be saved.
That's the gospel that the apostles preached. They're our example.

We can no longer look to political justice
and expect a fair or right outcome,
which was common back in the day
We now must look to God and God alone
in prayer (spiritual battle) for there to be any hope
To me, the writing is and has been on the walls ...
Daniel 5 KJV verse 26: “MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. 27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
Look up, we are much closer than we have ever been
    your redemption is drawing nigh
any day, any moment = Jesus can and will come
is there oil in your lamp?

  • @servingjesussinnersavedbyg8456

if we don't believe that the Bible is true - infallible - inspired by and from God,
then we are the most miserable men of all time
but those who saw (I know a guy) who rose from the dead,
wrote about it, so we are still talking about this today,
then Hebrews 13.8 is correct, in that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,
today, and forever. We have hope, because the painful sting of death,
has been overcome, and if in Him, we will rise with Him.

What is common grace? Doesn't God only give grace to his elect?

    • @JustifiedHope
      @JustifiedHope ปีที่แล้ว +2

It’s a phrase to refer to the overall love and long suffering that God gives the planet. He could destroy it whenever He wants but doesn’t so that as many people can come into saving grace.

@@JustifiedHope My understanding of grace is God's unmerited favor toward those who are His elect people. How can grace be extended to Christ rejectors? I'm trying to make sense of this term "common grace" as there is nothing common about it, it is a special, divine favor toward those whom God loves, which is His own.

    • @doug_peterson
      @doug_peterson ปีที่แล้ว

@@ByGraceThruFaith8453 common grace pertains to the sovereign grace of God bestowed upon all of mankind regardless of their election. In other words, God has always bestowed His graciousness on all people in all parts of the earth at all times.
The first point pertains to the favorable attitude of God toward all His creatures, not only toward the elect.
“The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made” (Psalm 145:9).
Jesus said God causes “his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:45)
and God “is kind to the ungrateful and wicked” (Luke 6:35).
Every breath that the wicked man takes is an example of the mercy of our Holy God.
The grace given to his elect would be John 6:44 “Irresistible grace”
John 6:44 says that unless the Father “draws” him, a sinner will not believe the gospel.
Another term for irresistible grace is effectual calling.
      Hope that helps

      beautyforashes,
For He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
      Matt. 5:44-45.
      That's common grace.
The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made. PSALM 145:9.

@@judithmargret5972 Hello Sister. I understand that God is kind to his creation. But it seems to me that all that the wicked or ungodly enjoy in this life will only one day end in their eternal judgment if they remain unrepentant. That seems like something other than grace, since grace is especially for the elect. Grace brings with it salvation every time it is dispensed by the Lord. That's why I have a hard time calling grace a common thing. Blessings to you in Christ the Lord.

How would you answer a Catholic who has a dirty mouth full of cursing who insists that eating the flesh and drinking the blood is what Christ means about obedience.
The Catholic Church is it. All else has strayed from Christ.

    True Christians need to understand
    Jesus came with a Sword
Not to bring peace but to divide….
Either one repents of ALL SIN and trusts alone in Jesus Christ
    Or doesn’t.
That’s the difference from a Goat and a Sheep 🐑
