Hey man, beautiful bike, the paint is really nice. My wife is short and to help her legs reach the passenger pegs I stitched together a piece of mountain bike tire (tread side up) and inserted a piece of carbon tubing between the peg and the bike tube. It did the trick. Fortunately your boy will grow, my wife seems to get shorter. Happy trails :)
I eventually went with the Dean Speed Rear Sliders which double as passenger foot rests. U can see them in this video: th-cam.com/video/3HGJO0NA820/w-d-xo.html
I can't see from the video where your passenger foot pegs are but there is two different locations to put them depending on if your pipes are in the way or not
I just did a demo day yesterday and rode every single softail. Almost all of the rear brakes squeaked. My top 3 favorites are: 1) Softail Slim 2) Street Bob 3) Heritage Classic
That’s crazy you mention a squeal at the rear break. Mine does too. It’s also a 2019 Slim. Not sure why that is. Let us know if you find out about that. Thanks
@@visible9733 The front brake on my 2019 Low Rider started making a loud horn-like noise when coming to a stop since day 1. I should've looked into proper break-in procedure before but I didn't think about it because my 2018 Honda Shadow Phantom never had that problem. Recently, my rear brake started making a whistling-type noise but it's very quiet compared to the front brake.
I bought aftermarket brake pads for my Harley Davidson Rocker C and rode it around the beautiful Island of Cyprus! I video my rides and they squeaked, made a video about it, changed back to OEM Harley Davidson brake pads, squeaking went away!
Sup brother, just a question, before the slim you own a triumph, what made you get a Harley instead of the triumph ( speedmaster ) ? Im in between those two bikes , softtail slim or speedmaster , thanks in advance .
Great question. So before i picked up my slim, i had a triumph street twin and a sportster seventy-two and traded them both in. I actually was considering the speedmaster as well, along with the slim and scout 1200. I had 1200s before so if i was going to spend the $$$, i wanted a larger motor. Another factor was how i fit on the bike. I felt like the slim was the best ergonomic fit overall. Scouts foot controls were too far forward and i wasnt too keen on the stock speedmater bars. Lastly, the Harley dealership was willing to give me alot more for my trades than any other dealership. I love my slim, glad with my decission. I still look as the speedmaster and want one. Hope this helps.
Really like it! I'm thinking about trading in my Roadster for it because I'm having problems with the riding postition. I'm 6ft 2.5 inches. Do you think I'll fit right?
I just bought mine (vivid black). I had to give up a lot on the trade-in of my Roadster, but I got a good deal on a Jekill & Hyde exhaust and removable windshield (I use for work). Can't wait to ride it..
I was looking at the street bob seat as a better fit for the slims ergos, even before i bought my slim. The fact that the slim had forward boards as apposed to the bobs mids, it made more sense to me to have a seat that moved me closer to the boards. Plus im 5'5" and short people sometimes need special accommodations. Lol
I find the Slim seat isn’t deep enough and I ride up the back. The Street Bob seat appears to put you into the seat more. I’ll have to go to my dealer and sit on one. Thanks brother!
@@mikevoornas6587 both times i demoed the slim before i bought it, when i punched it, i would slide towards the rear fender and have trouble reaching my toe under the shift because of the reach. If your dealership has a bob and a slim, have em swap the seats. Heck, maybe theyll let throw a bob seat on ur slim and take it around the block.
@@mikevoornas6587 i just did a video about the slim seat. One of the comments on the video ws about HDs solo reach seat, specific for the slim. Other than the price, i gotta say, its a good looking seat. Might wanna check it out.

People think having a number plate on top of a guard looks out of place but having it sticking out the side is fine? Really!

In this video they were definitely at the lower location

I have an 18 heritage softail and my rear brake squeals as well!
Could be brake dust. Have to take it easy on new brake pads and break them in properly or you hear squealing.

Kayrukyn makes under the seat peg relocaton.... Moves the forward and up.. My kids reach great now
Hey Gary, what year and model Harley do you have?
Did the squealing ever go away?
Well was hoping you would have started them up at least.
Were u wanting to hear the factory mufflers?
@@aztriumphster yes but it was an informative video. 👍
@@cautiontext Thanks! The factory muffler are quite unremarkable. Like a 107 Cubic Inch sewing machine.
@@aztriumphster yes very well put aftermarket pipes really opens it up.

AZ Triumphster actually is a great answer, I really love the old school retro bikes , so far the Harley is my favorite, thanks again brother
How tall are u if u don’t mind me asking...I’m 5’5” I
