You have not wasted my time, it is always nice to hear some one speak highly and with pride about their motorcycle. I recently purchased a 2020 Low Rider. First thing I was struck by on the way home from the dealership was how amazingly stable the bike was, especially at low speeds. Being 5.5 and a 28/9" inseam I cannot quite flat foot but that never bothered me at all as the bike handles so well. As with the Slim, power, suspension, comfort (more so the low Rider perhaps) and that old school look make it an over-all fantastic motorcycle. Thanks.
I LOVE my 2019 Slim!! I'm 5'4" and this bike is perfect for me. All I've done to it is swap the stock seat for a reach seat and added a handlebar riser. Fits me like a glove now! I also LOVE how it handles...especially in the twisties and roundabouts!
Iam 511, and I own a 2020 slim. I fell In love with the look. I put aps on it and it looks even better. Yes I am 511 and I fit fine! There’s not many bikes 511 riders look small on lol and I am not a fan of touring bikes. Bikes has power, handling, and most definitely looks
Hi Tony. Great review. Fully agree. Been on my Slim for two years now (first one registered in New Zealand) and still smiling even before I roll out of the shed. An awesome bike with 35,000 kms already on the clock. Doug.
Hello Tony, as always, yours video and explanations are the best, love this bike, I owned the same year and color than you, but, I have drove just 6,ooo kilometers right now since 2018, but I drive it to the office every day and I love it, best regards from Santiago of Chile
I've always liked the looks of the Slim. Even the previous generation. Never owned one. Have seriously considered it on more than one occasion. Recently purchased a new Harley. The 2019 Sport Glide. My wife has a 2018 Heritage classic. You Sir, are spot on. The handling and suspension on these new models is amazing. The Motor Company really needs to upgrade their Touring line-up to a mono-shock design. Indian touring bikes are much more comfortable. I'm rambling. Great video. Not a waste of time at all. Take care.
I am also "vertically challenged" at 5'5" and love the nostalgic look of my 19' slim . My feet touch the ground very comfortably . Had exactly the same fuel pump problem , but THREE RIVERS HARLEY in Pittsburgh took care of it without any hassle .Thanks for making the review video I really enjoyed it . I don't want to change out any thing either, except maybe the mufflers (after the warranty runs out ) a little too quiet !
Hey Jack, glad to hear they got you all fixed up. Yeah stock exhaust is alittle quite. You can always add slip ons now those do not void the warrenty and sounds fantastic. Check out my Rhineheart slip on video out! th-cam.com/video/Az9g5tLyJJw/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Tony..I currently have a 2009 VTX 1300C And I am saving my nickels and Dimes for Slim hopefully not in the too distant future. Your videos have been a big part of my decision to buy a Slim. Thanks for explaining the carctaristics of the Slim so well. You do good work buddy.
Nice review Tony...always appreciate good solid honest reviews of the bikes H-D offers...nothing is ever perfect and this is a great example of finding the right bike for you.
I love my 19 Slim! I went to Harley to trade in my Roadster and my focus was on the Fat Boy because of the brutal looks. On a demo day however I road on a Fat Boy, a Heritage and the Softail Slim. And I fell in love with the Slim. The handling, especially the cornering, the looks, etc. is perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the stock seat. Ik looks great, but sitting on it on a long ride was hell (I'm 6,2), but when I upgraded that to a Mustang seat , that made a huge difference. So, just like you said: It's a great motorcycle. No waste of time in your video... !!
Thanks Gert, I did exactly the same thing. Had my mind set on the fat boy and walked away with a slim😂😂😂. The heritage was an impressive bike also. Ride safe!
Thanks for all your insights. I have been eyeing up one for my next upgrade. The only thing holding me back is the price jump. I don’t want a loan on it, so I’m saving up. -Whitney
I have a 2014 Softail slim that I just bought. I love it. It is the best I have ever owned. Handles great. Sure beat the Dyna Superglide custom I had before this. It;s low and old school and handles like a charm. I'll keep this one for ever. The only thing I changed was a Mustang seat, Vance & Hines Short Shots and and Arlen Ness monster breather.
keep up the good work Tony, I'm from Aus and have had 18 slim since roll out. my first Harley, runs smooth only thing I will need to change is the stock seat as I feel I slide back nearly off it at times when accelerating. as well the handle bars needs to be raised a few inches. ride safe and can't wait for more uploads..
Hey Lex, thanks for watching! Yeah the stock seat is pretty bad I had the same problem. The handlebar have been working out perfect for me. Congrats man on the slim. Ride safe.
Loved my 2018 Slim. But couldn’t resist getting the 2020 Low Rider S. Mine didn’t have ABS or alarm system. The Slim was my first Harley. The seat was my only complaint. Love the style of it.
As a man of limited means, this is looking like a good bike right out of the box. Yep, I would want pipes and maybe some taller bars. I have back issues, but besides that, nothing. Thanks for the info and giving your insight.
Great video thank you. I traded in my 2020 road king for a 2021 slim this week . I also cherish the old school look. Not crazy about the spokes/tubes due to possible flats. Other than that it’s a great al around bike. Regards.
Slim is a cool bike. If i was going to get another softtail id get a slim. I love the old school look. I ended up with a Fat Bob S. Drastically different looks, amazing bike though.
Both bikes are basically the same. The heritage is setup more for touring and the slim is solo bobber style. I added passenger pegs and a two up seat to mine and I have zero trouble riding two up.
I like Slim S in army "coat" with American army star on tank. Visually I love Harley Deluxe for a lot of shinny parts. Could you compare Slim opposite Deluxe, if you got experience ride on Deluxe. Thank you.
Hey tony I was wondering if you were able to by pass your speed limiter on your slim with the FP3 I have a 2019 fxbb street bob and a FP3 my speed limiter shut off isn’t working!! I would to spend the money on buying a power vision to do it
No the speed limiter I’ll hit 115 mph in 4th gear switch to 5 gear and it just holds at 119 mph at 4500 rpm the FP3 has a option to shut it off but it doesn’t work a buddy of mine has the power vision and his shuts it off
HD Softail Slim. The Harley for short guys. If you're on the taller side your SOL. But the real problem with the bike is that the lean angle sucks! This bike will scrape the floorboards in the slightest of curves. For me it's a deal breaker, which is a pity because I agree everything else about the bike is great: the classic good looks, power, etc.... Too bad there wasn't some way to remedy it.
I really like the new Slims, it is the only new Harley I would buy. When I first saw the new engine first thing came to my mind was it looks like a knucklehead.
I have a 2019 Slim and love it. I am 6ft 2in weight about 155 pounds with gear on. This put be right at the bottom of the pre load settings. Has anyone got any experience of fitting a lighter spring that would match my weight better? On some surfaces I am bouncing around a bit and I sense my weight is not allowing the suspension to work properly. Beware I am not very technical so could be wrong. Great channel Tony and review, thanks for the effort of putting these together.
Thanks Chris, as far as the suspension goes I’m not 100 percent on that. I would almost guarantee there are options out there for you to check out. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
I love my 2016 slim sooo much. Anyone want to meet her, her names Big Ref Betsy, and she’s the star of my videos, and anyone would like to check her out?! 😁👍
While the stock suspension is good, I'm really picky and installed Ohlins both front & rear. Purchased a Fat Bob side cover so the preload knob looks like it came installed from the factory. Highly recommended! tinyimg.io/i/2dBxG6K.png
Do you still have your Iron? The reason I'm asking is I subscribed to your channel because of you owning an Iron. I finally have one now. And I found your videos very helpful to me. But if you have abandon the Iron, then I no long have any need for staying subscribed to your channel. It's very disapointing to me that all you motovloggers aboundon us Iron owners like you have. I realize you grow in your motorcycle journey and I probably will one day. But I doubt I will ever sell or trade in my Iron. It can't be beat for around town and local riding. I know you're gonna do what you want to do. It's your channel. It feels like your saying fuck you to me since you no longer with have anything to do with us or me. And by the time I upgrade with another bike, so are you and it starts all over again So I see no reason to stay subscribed to your channel. You are no different than the rest of them. You seem to be getting away from motovlogging also. I've seen it happening now. Motovlogging in the purest sense is dying. Change is not always good for those of us on this end. I don't want to hear how sorry you are that I feel this way. I've heard it too many times and don't believe it anymore. There aren't any motovloggers who ride Irons anymore. I know what you're thinking. What about the great egrate? He'll be gone too soon, just like you, Dcycle, Marvelkid, xxxDeadhead, Shaun Smoak, and a host of others I've watched for years and now they have abandoned us Iron riders.
First off I not abandoning anyone. All of my videos revolve around the motorcycling community. It’s not about what bike you ride Jeff it’s about riding. I wouldn’t give a shit if The Great Egret rode a scooter his videos would still be relevant in our community. It’s not about one particular motorcycle it’s about supporting people and their love for all things on two wheels. Good luck Jeff and ride safe!
Jeff Tilghman Also, thanks for shooting a thumbs down at the Autism Walk and promotion videos. Really shows how great of a guy you really are! Stay classy and EABOD.

Not a waste of time Tony. Threw you on full screen, grabbed a beer. Great video. ;)

Thanks Tony, great honest review. Made the decision to get me one this Spring. (your review helped!)
Thanks for watching! Glad it helped. Ride safe Paul.
Thanks for the review, I am heading in this direction for my new bike. This just made me want it even more.
Thanks for watching Shawn! Good luck with whatever new bike you pick.
The Slim might be my next bike. I like the classic look.
It was the bike that caught my eye first and the one I walked out with. Finally I bought something I didn't have to settle on. Great bike!
Congrats on the bike! I felt exactly the same way when I rode off on mine. Couldn’t have picked a better bike! Ride safe and thanks for watching.
igotthis I have a 2016 slim I bought new, and sti just love. She the star of my you tube channel, if you get a chance, come check her out! 😁👍🏍
Simply Biking just subscribed my man. Still my favorite bike ever! Just not into the cushy bikes.
I've always liked the looks of the Slim. Even the previous generation. Never owned one. Have seriously considered it on more than one occasion. Recently purchased a new Harley. The 2019 Sport Glide. Thanks for watching. Congrats on the sport glide is a great looking bike. Matter of fact you own two fantastic bikes. Ride safe!

Thanks Micheal! You give me way to much credit. Keep me posted on your Slim hunt. Thanks for watching and stay safe out there
If I ever buy a Harley, this will be it. Love the look of this bike. Great channel by the way, quality content, look forward to seeing more.
Great review. Thinking of a Deluxe or Heritage...now the Slim has joined the list.
Really can’t go wrong with any of those. All great bikes. Let me know where you land!
Ride safe.
Nice review Tony...always appreciate good solid honest reviews of the bikes H-D offers...nothing is ever perfect and this is a great example of finding the right bike for you.

Hey Toni, Same here with my 2019 Breakout. It doesn‘t need any modification.
I know right! They fit perfectly right off the floor. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Love my slim... wouldn’t change it for the world. Best looking Harley for me. 😎 the M8 is a beast! Agree with all your points!
Thanks Harleyslim. I have been extremely happy with mine. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
You're right about the M8 pulling like a diesel. I've got a '17 Freewheeler and I'm very happy with the power and torque.
The M8 just pulls like crazy absolutely love the way it feels. Ride safe!
I’m with you on your take about the Slim. Love my 18 Slim.
Thanks Dan! Ride safe and thanks for watching.
100% agree with your comments. While you are a little ahead of me on mods I have enjoyed my 2018 slim. Looking forward to the next video.

Thanks for watching!! Stage one made a huge difference for me. Ride safe Anton
@@TonysGarage Thanks man, you too!
the softail slim is one of the best looking harleys in my opinion. I wish they didn't discontinue it

I own a 19 slim in wicked red denim. Love it too!
Loved my 2018 Slim. But couldn’t resist getting the 2020 Low Rider S. Mine didn’t have ABS or alarm system. The Slim was my first Harley. The seat was my only complaint. Love the style of it.
Congrats on the Low Rider S that’s a pretty bad ass bike!!! Ride safe
Just curious- which bikes provide the most comfort? Thanks
Looks good the way it is
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the info. Very helpful!
Perfect review sir🙌
Thanks for watching!!!!
I love my 19 slim, billared blue!
Good commentary thank you

What current model comes close to your slim?
Love my '19 Slim!
This is the only other harley I would consider besides my 48
Slim is a cool bike. If i was going to get another softtail id get a slim. I love the old school look. I ended up with a Fat Bob S. Drastically different looks, amazing bike though.
I agree Dustin. The fat bob is a great bike and handles very well just wasn’t very comfortable for me but very impressive. Ride safe.
The low rider used to be the low seat hight now its one of the highest bike.
Is the Slim a good choice for two up riding or would a Heritage be a better choice?
Both bikes are basically the same. The heritage is setup more for touring and the slim is solo bobber style. I added passenger pegs and a two up seat to mine and I have zero trouble riding two up.

I really love my FP3 I can keep up with my buddy’s low rider s 110cubic with cams with my stage one until I hit the speed limiter
Not a 100 percent on that one.
hi I have purchased turn signal tinted lenses, how to you remove the rear ones? as they don't have a groove in the lenses to pry open
Yes, very easy to do
There should a little groove it’s only about 1/2 inch long
The front ones had a groove however there is no groove aound rear lenses.
