As always I love your videos. Pinon Pine-Juniper communities are so fun. They are nice places to sleep under the stars. They are wonderful places to hike by foot or bike or to go running. They also make for nice drives.
My man, I am blown away with your use of graphics, how the heck do you do that? Give a girl some pointers? Love the video, it's one of the best I've ever seen!
Hey Jillian! Thank you so much for the comments. Most of this is done with Illustrator, After Effects & Mocha. Maps were created in Illustrator, Animated in After Effects, then planar tracked using Mocha. Final version and audio was edited in Premiere. I shot the signs with a GoPro at 120 fps to make them ultra smooth and easier to track. Shoot me a message on IG if you have any specific questions. Maybe I should make a video of the process?
It's one of my favorites in Red Rock! I was shocked to learn how many people hadn't done it. Exposing people to this lesser-known trail was in my thoughts when making this. I'll definitely see you out there soon!
So I was a little skeptical about what kind quality video this was going being that you are a brand new TH-camr! I know when I 1st started my videos were horrible! I have to say though I'm really impressed! You have a very good narrating voice and you're extremely informative. I thought that was really cool how you were able to add all kinds of effects like maps on top of maps and signs on top of signs. I like how you used different camera movements and the scenes were constantly changing. This is one of my favorite hikes at Red Rock and you did a good job showcasing it 😀👍. Hope you continue making more videos.
Oh and by your style of video editing reminds me a lot of a TH-cam channel called Trails We Hike.th-cam.com/channels/zy_THI0vc42g-6Fh2p40yw.html They stopped making videos almost 2 years ago but you remind me a lot of them like your narration and music.
Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm a big fan of your videos too, so this really means a lot. Showcasing these trails brings me a lot of joy - there will certainly be more to come.
Really enjoyed this. Very informative. The only bad thing is the sound track volume doesn't match your voice. Had to keep turning up and down the volume. The music really suited the hike well. Blame the post production editor !!
I did this video in the Fall - October through November. Next week looks amazing for weather - will be a little warm in the direct sun but if you do it early in the day, it should be perfect.
This is Great Brother!!!! I've definitely added Nevada to the list. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hike On,
Darwin
You were the inspiration for making this! Hope to see you on the trail.
Very helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.

Thank you! I love the forests we have here - especially when a bristlecone gets mixed in!
*One of my all time favorite places to hike and explore! Love that it’s nearly in my backyard...* 😍
We’re fortunate to have such an amazing place nearby! Thanks for watching 😊

Already following you on instagram good to see you here too. Thanks for sharing this one. It's on my bucket list for the near future.
Thanks for watching and following! I hope you find the guide handy once you make it out there.
One of my favorite trails with the dogs cuz it's never crowded.
Same! My dog Poe loves this one too.
@@BaseCampNevada Pools of water in the creek this morning. So refreshing to see and only 76 degrees.
It is nice to finally have a proper monsoon season! I’m looking forward to the wildflowers next spring.
Nice, relaxing and on list to do. Good info, liking your graphics. One of the few Red Rock trails I haven't done yet. See you out there soon!

Thanks for the recommendation. I had not seen this channel before - great stuff! It certainly has a similar vibe.
Really good comments Eric. I liked his narration voice as well. My only issue was with the volume of the soundtrack.

Thanks! It was my first go at doing something like this. He’s officially been sacked! 😉lol
Hey bud, thanks for the video. What time of year did you do this hike? We’re heading there to do this hike next week. Thanks
