the warehouses have 5 input slots for conveyer belts so you can setup 5 machines feeding the same item into them to fill faster. that being said you'll likely want multiple warehouses to store each of the different item if you plan to horde stuff overtime.
@Big-Cheeky then there's really no reason to make a base with all the resources. Just build a warehouse at each node and produce everything there. I can imagine multiple small bases for different resources.
I like the mix of planet crafter and satisfactory although i do wish that they leaned a bit more into the planet crafter side and had the beginning be a very ugly and barren planet and that with each change in the terraformation stage, you would have different types of hazards. I.e. in the beginning, the weather would be hazardous, then maybe have a stage where you crash ice asteroids or comets into the surface to add water, then the when there is enough water, the wave itself becomes the major hazard to deal with. Also, I love the epic tone of the music especially when the wave comes.
I would suggest moving your main base to that big area like you were saying then keep your fertilizer where it is and that whole area can be a farm and then building a warehouse on the other island for all that sulfur
In Satisfactory, the terrain undulates a lot so it makes sense to make platforms. But here, you already have flattened terrain so making a platform is not a priority this early in the game. Even having a bunch of separate production facilities is ok. Making a bridge between the two islands was doable but laborious because I never figured out "copy paste." That function seems to exist but I haven't figured it out.
To do the Land Bridge between the Islands, just use the Steam Roller to make the Bridge, (Hint: put it on Max size, so you can place a Solar Panel half way, to link the two Islands).
the problem with what you suggested is that later when you want to build on foundation you'd have to demolish a lot more buildings than now if you'd just build them on foundation in the first place. I think thats what z is saying in the first place. though i agree with you the ground is flat enough just leave it bare dirt and build a structure around the equipment. (i don't know if you can use those blocks to build a box).
There are a LOT of advantages to the T2 Warehouse, but I was informed by a Developer that the Slots in both the T1 and T2 Warehouse are fed by specific Input ports. You cannot just prefill the Warehouse storage slots and get THAT component in that storage slot. You have to determine which Input Port feeds which storage slot. They also noted this WILL change, but did not give me a timeframe. Additionally, watch your Spaceship power. If you run out of power in midair, bad things can happen. While their is a way to retrieve the ship, you'll have to construct at least 2 structures at the location to which you want to recall the Spaceship, and they're expensive structures. You may also want to look at the Roller, as people over on Discord have talked about using the Roller to build a landbridge between the two islands. It can also be used to flatten (comparitively) large areas in advance of construction... It'll supposedly build UP as well as knock down.
Not sure if you know this but in your base you can build large cabinets to store items so you don't have to carry everything all the time. I keep what I use the most in the cabinet next to my work stations. Setup a warehouse on the other island and you have access to the materials anywhere.
You should have put a warehouse on the other island to collect the Sulphur. Then you don't have to go back for it. Would still need to go back for more uranium.
If I can make a suggestion, you should build ONE of each item - to unlock new blueprints. This would make stuf easier: I mean, why should one keep tinkering with outdated junk when you can,you know, create units that are WAY better (and possibly cheaper)?
First off, imagine of the steamroller in Hydroneer worked as well as this one. How much time, effort and frustration would that save you? Secondly, Im of the Opinion that the corrugated metal floor looks better. MIght be more expensive seemingly, but honestly, I think you could easily do it. And they would look SO much better. And even match your base.

too bad he never reads these lol
Love this series! I can't wait for you to make it green all over 🤩.
GG. You should put extra batteries in the ship's inventory for emergencies. If the ship runs out of power, you won't be stranded.
Use the roller and hold the flatten button between one coast to another and it should fill it in and connect both islands
This game is getting better and better. Looking FWD to the rebuild on level ground
You should build the tier 2 warehouse since it has a lot more storage inside it, and it increases stack limits of every item.
What if you built a warehouse on the island with the sulfur node
he never reads these lol but yes that be smart he also should do a lot of things. Like the sulfur cave right by his base lol
i don't think that would work. the power didn't get transferred over so i don't expect the materials to either.
@@takumi2023 they do

Build an improved solar panel on the 2nd island to power it without worry.
Z1, don't forget the M key, to bring up the Map. If you have a scanner back home (which you do), you'll see the deposits on the second Island, too.
Enjoyed watching it, looks like we both had the 'oooo can I do a bridge idea' at the same time 😂
dont forget about the landing pad
The steam roller flattening and smoothing reminds me of astroneer
Z with a steam roller! What could Possibly go wrong? lol

@@randallanderson4999 that's a genius hack

Might be a good idea to set up a warehouse for each item on that big flat. Would make construction easier in the long run.

Aircraft platform will recharge your ship and if you dig down place a water pump under ground as thye water level is consistant even under land
You can just build more concrete excavators…
I've learned that you can mine minerals from a large distance just by looking at them.

You should get the second warehouse, cause it said it stacked resources
get like 4 forgers per miner and then 1 or 2 cargo containers
Use different flooring to make roads and walkways.
7:11 Build an ore detector on this island.
You should try and make a land bridge to the sulfur island
What event does 3:20 sound like a long time for??? 😂
It just occurred to me that you are in convict orange…like plant crafter.

It looks like the steam roller doesn't take power when going backwards or slow
Why not build the nuclear battery that had 10000mw?
woah
Guess I should have saved my comment about the ship on the last video for this video instead
Why was bros energy on the first time he used the steam roller not move at 14 secs
I am like number 516
