    Finally, a video on how to install a leveling kit without completely disassembly the front end

    Did the front end need to be aligned?
    Any issues in the last 7 months?
    Would you go with the 2.5 instead?

    If you were doing the 2" spacer on top and had to pull the stut completely out could you have still done that without separating the control arm?

    As a carpenter, I feel like even I could do this successfully with two extra hands around.
    Good video.

    All these companies that make leveling kit says you have to disassemble the whole front end and get wheel alignment so stupid

    Am I missing something, or did you guys use the wrong hole for the mag ride? When you showed the instructions at the beginning of the video it looks like the threaded hole is for 1-1.5"

    • @BiggBaddVVolf
      @BiggBaddVVolf 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I noticed the same thing. According to the instructions at 01:14... the 2 side by side holes were meant to be at the bottom, but on installation, the have them at the top at 06:34, and flipped. See 01:14, 00:58, and 06:34
      From the bottom of the plate, it appears to be about 5/8" to the bottom hole, whereas the distance from the top of the plate to the top of the top hole appears to be about 1/4"

    • @BiggBaddVVolf
      @BiggBaddVVolf 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, per the Suspension Maxx instructions "Both linkage and bracket bolt must be kept in line vertically. " Meaning, don't stagger the mounting hole on the left side of the bracket, and the linkage to the right side of the bracket. www.suspensionmaxx.com/content/uploads/pdfs/installation_guides/SMX-GM725M.pdf

    Is there a difference with the 20'' wheels versus the 22'' wheels? I have a 18 Denali with 22'' and mine sits low, to me. Its also a 4wd

    When Dealers install they use Spacer on top of Strut application which works way better than spacer on bottom.

    This can be done by only disconnecting sway bar and bottom shock bolts. Cut 4 threads off bolt that goes under CV and thread from bottom. Saves time

    Installed mine over the weekend . Went with the 2.25. Looks good . When I was done I let truck off the stands and my control arms were against the bumps. Drove for a while . Now they about an inch off the bump stop. Didn't like the bolts that came for bottom of strut. I know the plate for ride height says where to put it with lift choice . What I'm wondering is could u put in a different adjustment to raise a lil ? Would it affect the shock .

    I added the same leveling kit as you and your brother for my Denali with the magneride. I do get a lot of popping when I turn left and right. Is your brother going through the same thing as well?

      Danny Morales I did it to my Denali also.. I can hear it pop sometimes :0 but it’s only once in while when I do a very sharp left or right when I’m going at slow speeds

      Andres Jimenez I greased up my joints in the front it’s back to normal haven’t heard it pop at all.
      I just installed new Tires and got it aligned and it’s back to normal. MPG - it’s the same as when I bought it 15-16 in the city
      I recommend leveling it! Gives it a better look from the front!

    There is another kit from Rough Country that doesn't show the ride height sensor bracket to be included. Is it possible to mount the sensor without the bracket?
