The website says 1”-3” or lift. So which setting do you have to be on for 2.5” you said the bottom one in the video but it doesn’t match what Eibach is saying
The instructions are not clear. If you are using the Eibach provided spring (which is longer that stock) the bottom setting will result in 2.5" of lift up front. Lift increase as you go to the higher settings (move the ring up the strut body). If you are NOT using the Eibach springs and reusing your stock springs, the lowest setting I believe retains the stock height. I also believe in this application you can max out at 3" of lift while keeping the OEM springs. All in all, the Eibach spring is longer and it in and of itself provides some lift. Like I said the instructions are confusing and took some monkeying around to figure out exactly what setting I needed. Best to call Eibach and ask them.

I never ran the strut maxed out without the Eibach springs so can’t comment on that but compared to stock struts with spacers the truck felt awesome with the Eibach kit.

I'm not sure if 1.875 will be enough even after using zipties to pull the liner back. If anyone answers, thank you!
at 1.8" you will not be level which is the biggest and only complaint with the bils systems. Seems 2-2.25" is the best to level these GM trucks which Eibach will be able to net you. As far as bils versus Eibach, the 6112's are 2.5" wide shock bodies so if you are seriously off-roading that would be the way to go since you will avoid oil fatigue. I was very happy with my eibachs having only "really" beat on them a few times. they performed well. I saw your post on GM trucks about the noise you were having with this set up, I have the exact same noise and can’t figure it out. I did the same thing you did with swapping struts and the noise followed. What ended up happening with that? Did Eibach warranty these?
I already have the bilstein 5100 series with the adjustable strut on the front with OEM springs... My question is can I add the eibach springs with the bilstein 5100 adjustable struts?.
bigboix369 mine are not but i have the aluminum UCAs. If you have stamped steel they may be close. Make sure everything is clocked correctly I.e. the top mount, spring mount, spring, etc.
its not necessarily better than the bilsteins, bilsteins were originally meant to be used with stock coils with adjustable notches. eibachs are similar. but bilsteins are not in the business of making coils, they do shocks. Eibachs does both. I believe the bilstein coils are even made by eibach. Eibach also makes toytec and wheeler's coil springs. they supply the market. bilstein 5100's do sell more though. Eibachs are good as well.

@@WaterFowler41 Thank you, just ordered one. I thought the 2” block would of been manageable, however the Eibach 2.0 coilovers come in set way higher than I expected. Thanks again!
I rented a spring compressor from oreilly's. You have to mount the compressors in the highest position because you need to compress the spring about 1.5". I used a pneumatic driver to the compressor shafts. If you've never dealt with spring compressors I wouldn't advise as it can get kind of hairy. The compressor were bending near the end.

I saw your post on GM trucks about the noise you were having with this set up, I have the exact same noise and can’t figure it out. I did the same thing you did with swapping struts and the noise followed. What ended up happening with that? Did Eibach warranty these?
Yup Eibach replaced the strut, valving issue inside the strut.
Very nice video. Thank you .
I already have the bilstein 5100 series with the adjustable strut on the front with OEM springs...
My question is can I add the eibach springs with the bilstein 5100 adjustable struts?.
l Pronox i don’t know if you’ll get much more lift, I believe the bilsteins top out at 1.875” I could be wrong though, best to call bilstein
Can I add 2 in spacers to the front struts I want mine at 4-4.5 in lift I have a 2014 Silverado
Jose Gamez you would need new UCAs and a larger differ drop to accommodate that so your better off getting a real life kit at that point.
Did you need to get new upper control arms?
Nope, I never replaced them
Quick question are the front springs close to the upper arms I just installed but feel like they are extremely close to the arms
bigboix369 mine are not but i have the aluminum UCAs.
Great video! Looking seriously at this kit for my build but undecided on rear blocks...stock, 1.5", or 2" as you did. Do you have an Instagram (or other social media) to see more pictures at different angles of your truck?
Instagram is @waterfowler_41
I posted a pic a few months ago showing the angle of my UCA and CV, let me know if you want any specifics pictures of the assembly.
Tyson Settle how’d yours come out? Did you stay stock in the rear or did you decide to change?
@@bludragontruck9743 Ended up doing Fox 2.5 coilovers in the front with Dirt King UCA's, and Fox 2.0 shocks and stock height in the rear. Coilovers were installed at the height set from factory, they claim 2.5" height but mine came out to 3". @tysondale84 on Instagram.
@@tysonsettle3177 I’m thinking a similar route. Just trying to find the right way, I try short cuts and end up with bad results most of the time.
@@tysonsettle3177 what did you end up spending if you don’t mind me asking.
How much did you spend on this set up?
chihuahua8209 at the end of the day with the rough country blocks and alignment about $700
I know this video was posted a while ago, but how are these doing for you over a year later? Also, since the spring allows for some lift do you think these are a better option to lift the front 2.5" than putting Bilstein 5100 at max height (2.5") with stock springs?
Jacob Krueger in my opinion if you are lifting beyond the 1.8” bilsteins can do then yes this is a great option. I had these on my truck up until I traded it in. Hoping there’s a Eibach kit for my Rebel because i was a huge fan of this kit.
@@WaterFowler41 ok thanks for the response. I'll be buying some soon.
@@WaterFowler41 for some reason it's almost $200 cheaper for me to get the Bilstein 5100 shocks and struts and then buy the eibach coils separate. Do you think the Bilsteins paired with the 2.75" eibachs would essentially be the same setup as the eibach kit? I have heard the bilstein 5100 and eibach struts are essentially the same.
Jacob Krueger bilsteins won’t lift above 1.85” up front.
@@WaterFowler41 but I'm saying if I set them at 0 and use the eibach 2.75" coils. Just like the eibach kit does. Would that be relatively the same you think?
Do I need the new rear block for the shocks or can I keep it stock?
You may be a bit noise high without adding a larger rear block.
My question is?.. does it sit the same height as it did with the previous spacer in front?
J P’s mix nope, half inch higher in front
Water Fowler 41 looks like a sweet setup just wish I could see more angles of truck to help lighten my wallet hehe
J P’s mix hit up my Instagram, got a bunch of pictures there @waterfowler_41
I know u don’t have that truck anymore but but which one u like better eibach or bilstein 5100 on ur rebel and what’s the difference?
Really liked the eibach kit as far as replacements for factory
Cuz I’m in the middle of a pick of the eibach or bilstein 5100 for my ram
Go eibach
If I go with eibach E60 27 011 03 10 and set it at 1.8” lift plus I have the off road package with 1” lift from factory will that be a true 2” lift when I use my oe springs
Hey bud, sorry to bother you, I know you no longer have the truck; I just wanted to ask a another question.
Would installing both the factory and new Rough County 2” blocks be a bad thing for the truck/shock?
I would buy a 3” block from RC. Stacking blocks is a bad idea. A 3” block isn’t that much more than the 2”
@@WaterFowler41 Thank you, just ordered one. I thought the 2” block would of been manageable, however the Eibach 2.0 coilovers come in set way higher than I expected. Thanks again!
Great video, but why did you completely skip the assembly of the spring, boot, etc? :(
Draw the line ont he assembly, remove from the factory strut and reinstall on the Eibachs.
So you used the springs and the strut clip 2nd notch from the bottom?
ncurc 97 yup, if I recall correctly, second notching got me to 2.5” lift up front. Any more and you run into upper control arm issues
@@WaterFowler41 thanks for the quick reply, as long as the ride isn't to stiff, I will look into these
How's the ride quality?
chihuahua8209 truck feels great, planted on the road! Kit had an impressive amount of sway reduction. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.
@@WaterFowler41 I'm getting this kit ,I want front only
Can 285/75r16 fit on that kit ? Or 305/70r16
That I do not know. You’ll have to check out the truck groups and see what others have fit
How long did it take to settle in??? Because I'm at 3inch still..
Duy Tran a month or 2 of driving and I was at a “final” height
@@WaterFowler41 dam.. a month or 2.. what height you at now?
Duy Tran last time I measured the truck I was about 2 5/8. Sold the truck back I December so no longer have access to it.
@@WaterFowler41 dont blamed you GM made truck like shit.. mine started having alot problems.. and GM Warranty sucks..
What size square u bolts did you use?
agustin rosales off hand I don’t know they came with the rear blocks from Rough country. I’m sure you can call and ask them. They were super helpful.
One last question did the coil compressor fit on the eibach spring too and did you rent it?
I rented a spring compressor from oreilly's. You have to mount the compressors in the highest position because you need to compress the spring about 1.5". I used a pneumatic driver to the compressor shafts. If you've never dealt with spring compressors I wouldn't advise as it can get kind of hairy. The compressor were bending near the end.
What happened to your spoiler
Cheyanne Piedra off for now, little change of scenery
What size are your tires and rims?
darwin medrano fuel trophy 20x9 wheels with 275/60-20 Falken AT3W
Water Fowler 41 thanks
darwin medrano no problemo, thanks for watching!
Water Fowler 41 what offset are your wheels
Jeff Liebel 20mm
Should of runit at 3rd setting
I want to do this but I really don’t wanna spend 150 on an alignment😬
Gotta pay to play my man! Once you start tinkering with the suspension, its time for an alignment.
Water Fowler 41 yes I know I just did my leveling kit like 2 months ago just don’t wanna get another alignment 2 months later😂😂
Why would you loosen the tie rod? That was unnecessary
The Tatted Dad i didn’t loosen it, i popped it out of the hub. Doing this gives you more play to pull the hub assembly down to fit the strut in. I suppose you could leave it attached but I was installing these by myself and wanted all the play I could get.
