I got a blueprint crate 383 stroker. Crate motor if possible. Don't forget motor mounts, fly wheel, stall converter.

If you are even slightly mechanically inclined… a lot of work can be done yourself which would save you quite a bit, considering you already have tools and space to do it.

Love the 77-90 Box Chevy, I have had many over the years, I currently own a 1978 Chevy Caprice 2Door with 27k miles.
The ride quality is better than most new cars!
For 3200 you can have a bad ass 4l80e or th400. Contact showtime transmission, extreme overdrives, or Lizard performance. I had my 4l60e rebuilt and built to hold 500 for 1300, using my old core, with lizard performance.

😂😂😂 have a 79, took forever to track down parts for it. Stopped counting a 16k. Have to finiah up the interior - went all black, she's in satin black know. Sitting on coilovers on all for corners - have yet to drop the rest of fhe suspension on her. Have a mild '69 355 about ready to go in. Going to back that with the TH350C from a friends dirt traxk car. Once the disc brake conversion os done - 4:11 posi is going under. Then there's the fun stuff. One off spoiler I'm working. Side skirts have to be trimmed, painted, and bolted on, waiting on the front lip to arrive, so it can be cut and fabbed on. Still have to finish up the center console. Then wire up the amps, crossover, and a single 12. If I was to guess, I'm probably north of 50k for interior, and exterior parts alone. And it doesnt even look like it. Once the suspension is on, I'll focus on new rims, to dial the suspension in. Cause she's low, like 4"s of frame clearance low.

this car is about the same color as my 85 box on my channel. I see the prices have jumped up quite a bit since I did my drive train in 2010. from the motor ( gm goodwrench 350) transmission rebuild and rear-end with Detroit tru trac with 3:73 gears. I was 6k at that time.

I found my box for 4200 with a 350 and some nice 24s. The car runs great had to replace the battery and put 12s in im about 5k in.

I had the same knock in my motor I'mma tell you what is causing it , the chrome kit that's on it ,valve covers an carburetor and intake manifold you need to go back to the original it could solve your problem good luck bro ✊🏿

No new housing needed. It’s plug and play but you have to splice it if you want the halo’s on with the park lights.

So you can rebuild all the interior rattle out of these? I had an 83 malibu and it was very low miles when I 1st got it, the interior rattle was very noticeable but it was a great car. Similar interior construction back then.
Well maybe with some sound deadener. But it’s old metal shaking around and the insulation is bad

It’s a 86 bro. 86 and older had the square lights. Once you go 87 and newer it changes to single lights.

If you get a old school don't fuck around. You need a new motor and gotta rebuild the transmission period. Carberated 350, 355, 383, 400 gonna start at 5 grand. Fuel injected add another thousand. 10 bands under the hood depending how much you are into horsepower.

Cars cost building one cost old school or not if your not prepared to spend heavy money on a project don’t even invest in one. I own a box Chevy and a few more cars all in which cost to build . Get your 💰 right before anything . And don’t be cheap on no vehicle.

What headlights did you have originally ? I have the euro wondering if I have to order something to change them to the doubles
The 86 came with the dual halogen lights. 87 and up have the single lights. I would just go with the LED bulbs if you have the single headlights.
The issue is at the bottom end of the motor
Yeah needs a new crankshaft or the bearing could be replaced. I’m going 5.3 LS now.

I bought them on marketplace place staggered 15x7 and 15x6 in the front
Had 275 on the back and 235 on the front.

It was direct fit out of the box. You do have to tap into some other wires for the halo lights.
