The thing that annoys me of the remaster is the fact that theyre getting rid of that classic "painting" and "sketch" aesthetic the original game had. I always saw that style choice as deliberate since...yknow...theyre supposed to be art students? Seems like theyre taking away a unique and important part of the games aesthetic.
I hope with all the time they have before the release that they follow a lot of community feedback for the style. The original is a great game and the style is a bit part of that. Really all it needs is some improved graphic quality a little and better animations. Beyond that it should be largely left alone.
@@remingtonbaker1804 I know what you mean. It’s ideal. But it’s not realistic. Both endings are meant to have a down side and suffering. That’s what makes it a hard choice.
I feel like one of the reasons it didn't perform as well was the audience around Life is Strange, not because they didn't want a new game or even as much wanting to see more of Max and Chloe. The characters in LIS 1 are very different to LIS 2, a lot of people related to Max and Chloe contributing to it's success and people got deeply connected with them. Now with completely different characters I feel like a lot of people wouldn't relate to them as much making it less interesting. Combining that with how the setting just isn't as relatable either, where most people at least in some way have been to school, very few have gone on a massive roadtrip and tried to escape police. They're just very different games.
@@jaidenoliver7165 This. I played LIS when I was junior in High School, so feeling out of place looking for friends was more than relatable for me, then the artstyle and MUSIC (why aren't we talking about the music???!) just left me in awe. That said, I am a middle class cis white kid in central Europe, so... I want to empathize with the mexican kids being the victims of systematic racism, and I do, but how could understand, let alone relate? I'm even the little brother in my family, so the main character's struggles of being the big brother are completely unknown to me. I didn't and still don't think LIS 2 is bad, it just didn't feel like it was basically written for me like the first one was. Every theme in the game goes over my head. If you guys insist it's amazing, I might give it another go, but I was content not loving it, and leaving it before I force myself through it and possibly come out hating it. THAT I don't want, because even with my obviously small exposure to it, it's not what it deserves.
LiS2 is so good, not as good as the original imo but I like it a lot. I didn't mind the way characters would pass on by in the story as much as others since personally I cared for them anyway. To me it's like even if someone is in your life for a short period you may as well be nice to them and try to be a positive influence
@@CinnaMK I loved life is strange 2. I honestly think it might be the the best game in the series. The problem was that it's a sequel and ditched all of LiS 1 along with having a completely different story and vibe. People wanted to experience something similar to LiS 1 and LiS 2 failed to deliver that. Nonetheless I enjoyed the game and felt really connected to Sean and Daniel.
@@elclashh209 Oh yeah for sure, as a standalone title it's very good. Personally the only thing for me that makes the first better is that I like that overall characters a little more and that LiS2 kinda pushes certain agendas in a way which I personally find annoying. But overall they're both solid uses of story telling
@@destinyraex The one that comes to mind is the use of racism in it. Like by the time they got to those hillbilly guys in the desert I wasn't sure if they were trying to say "Racism is bad" or "White people are bad." When it was happening I thought "Ok yeah I get it anyway", it just felt like too much to me personally
Trust me most of them who disliked it are toxic Max and Chloe fans. The minority actually had valid points to why they disliked it but I've seen more "Max was way better" than actual critique in the comments at least. I even saw this one person worshipping Max and Chloe in someone's channel and when I asked them if they were going to play the Lis true colours they of course answered "Not sure I want to see my baby Max again in the remaster" :) Ok I don't know what I wrote here I'm tired lol
@@benkenobi3364 I've yet to finish lis 2, I dislike it for a few reasons. Maybe someone can explain to me why they are not bad points but so far my main issues are this. 1) Besides staring Daniel on the right path by your choices, it feels like nothing truly matters, in the first game your choice affected the town the game stays in and the characters you continue to see, where as lis 2, moves from one location to the next, it leave sme feeling a bit disheartened to try and make choices to be if it the characters and the world when they will all be abandoned for a new location and a new group the next episode, why should I help Chris dad, or the grandparents, or the bully at the start, they are abandoned soon after, I get that it's a road trip style sorry I just don't think it fits a game like this. Then the money system, I thought it was a great idea, budgeting for certain things to feed yourselves and maybe spare some cash to buy a gift, or trinket, agreta idea, then episode 3 starts and that's all done with as now you just have a grand all of a sudden, why bother taking extra money at the start, or worrying about it when you just lose that half way in. Episode 2 is as I rember the worst episode of any episodic game I've played, an entire episode of walking around a market and a grandparents house just to leave immediately, feels so pointless and a waste of an episode where you only have 5 of them so every moment needs to count, and I fele like you did little to nothing as far as I recall last time I played it. I love max and Chloe, and I love the first game and even before the storm to a lesser extent, but I am happy to have a game without them, its just that it feels like such a needless game with missed opportunity's, and pointless decisions and reasoning which just left me feeling univeated and unmotivated to even finish it.
@@vjsm Have you ever seen one of those viral videos where a person draws or paints something and it looks like there's no rhyme or reason to it, but then they flip it upside down and all of a sudden you see that it was actually a very nice portrait or something? That's kind of how I feel about LIS 2, and why it's (currently) my favorite game in the franchise. The decisions you make may not seem like they matter now, but then you get to the end and many of those smaller decisions will have added up to determine which ending you get (and for two of the endings, which variation of them you get) because they depend on both the brothers' relationship, and how you taught Daniel to relate to societal rules. And sometimes the things you do affect that choice matrix in ways you can't foresee. For example, with saving money, if you have enough of it, you can buy more of what you need in eps 1 and 2, and you don't have to steal (which would set a bad example for Daniel). You can also buy more of the things Daniel likes, thereby improving your relationship with him. Of course, one way to have a larger amount of money in ep1 is to steal money from your Dad in the beginning which might set a bad example. And if you buy too many supplies in ep1, you won't have anything left to buy gifts for Daniel in ep2. So these choices add up, but it's not always obvious. The ending I got was very emotionally impactful for me. I cried like the whole night afterward, and still get emotional thinking about it. And I don't think it would have been quite as impactful if I hadn't made all those smaller choices throughout the game, because they felt like they connected directly to the consequences the brothers got in my ending. So I guess I'd encourage you to stick it out and finish the game, and maybe even play it again, but make some different choices. You might find you appreciate it more.
@@yanggang7 I do understand what you're saying, I'll agree that the choices stick for Daniel. But my big issue is that they only really matter to him, lis 1s choices affected multiple characters beyond max and Chloe and the town as a whole, but lis 2 only seems to matter for Daniel and Daniel alone which feels less weighty to me which is my main issue, the money only seems important for 2 episodes which I can't help feel was a missed opportunity. I will take your suggestion and I will finish the game and maybe I'll see differently, I just stopped cause I felt my choices were limited in their impact since they only mattered to one relationship rather than multiple relationships which was a major step down in my opinion.
It was because it wasn't about Chloe & Max or didn't have a strong connection like TC did (aka having Steph) Yes David was connected and in CS Chris mom did attend to Blackwell but that's all there is connection wise I see some people say that the year it came out was also the reason why people didn't want to play it
Note: This rant contains minor plot spoilers for LIS2 As far as the remaster goes, if the "Updated and refined gameplay and puzzles" mean removing the extremely annoying sections of the game that felt like they were just added to give the illusion of "gameplay" I'd be very welcome to that. The story of the first game is great, but IMO is overshadowed by the poor implementation of the gameplay. IIRC there were many instances of characters that you had to talk to in order to progress where they had a large branching dialogue tree and exactly *one* path down that tree was correct, meaning you had to sit there trial and error rewinding until you did it right. The fact that IMO many of the characters are insufferably annoying, hearing them say the same thing over and over again was torture. I didn't realize this until a while after I finished LIS2, but the second game did something that completely fixed every problem I had with the gameplay, and that was that *no choice or action was wrong*. Nothing you could do would result in the game going "sorry, try again" until you did it right. In LIS1, if you fail to remember all the items in Chloe's pocket and whatever other random sequence you have to memorize, you have to rewind and do it again. If you say the wrong thing to a main character, you have to rewind and say the "right" thing. In LIS2, every dialogue option or mini-game is just another path down the tree. In the motel when Daniel is angry, there's no failure. If you say the wrong thing or don't answer fast enough. You don't get the frozen grey-tinted screen that basically says "sorry, that's wrong, do better next time". You don't have to keep playing Ship Captain Crew in the cabin until you win. If you identify the heroes and villains wrong in episode 2, you don't gain Chris' trust. Gaining his trust is not a requirement, so if you fail to do it the game just keeps going. If you can't find the key to Karen's old room, you can just have Daniel break it open. The game doesn't force you to grind to a screeching halt if you can't solve a "puzzle". (calling some of the tasks in LIS1 puzzles is pretty generous IMO, it's mostly just trial and error) In LIS2 I would stop and think "What choice do I want to make?" and in LIS I would get stuck and think "What does the game require that I do to progress?"
this is something i've actually never thought of, and it's incredibly insightful. i completely agree with you. LiS 1's puzzles did seem an awful lot of "try this until you get the specific correct path." something that comes to mind is the [spoilers] dark room section, where Max has to instruct David, or cutting Chloe loose from the train tracks. It felt like a lot of trial-and-error, and rewinding was only ever really used to undo mistakes, or very primitively in puzzles. LiS 2 really improves on this by having actual consequence to your actions, as well as encouraging making decisions very carefully rather than "do this, then do the other, and see which you like more". I enjoyed the raised stakes and really felt like my choices needed to be made carefully. Totally agree with you, really insightful comment
If this would be how certain parts of the game will be updated, it would be a much welcome feature for the Remaster. Though without any word from Square Enix on the matter, as well as no indication of brand new scenes to facilitate such changes, I'm personally not holding my breath though.
@@CucuOnGames Trial and error is putting it mildly. It literally feels exactly like "save, die, reload, die, reload, die, reload, die, reload, oh I did it"..
I convinced a friend who has never heard the games to try the remaster when it comes out. The remaster to me is worth it, as it addresses my critiques on the originals. If the current lighting updates on the latest True Colors video is indicative of the more polished remaster, then I can't say I have any negative thing to say about the remasters.
@@CucuOnGames and i hope some of those annoying animations get fixed you know the one where max moves hers hands while shes talking to someone lets hope they do a better running animation for alex cause i hated the one for chloe and max cause the one for chloe felt wonky
i bought the ultimate edition for the price of true colors base game so im happy about that. Personally I think a visual upgrade and a change in their facial mocap is something I'd be interested in seeing especially at an illusioned "Free" attachment to the base game of true colors.
Lis 2 has been my favorite of the series since it came out! I get some of the backlash but it's seriously amazing. I wish more ppl liked it :( I'm even planning on getting the two running wolves tattooed
i personally loved LiS2. its sad that people are dismissing it without even trying the game. its so underrated, i somehow felt more connected to Sean and Daniel than to Max and Chole. i once made a comment on my thoughts on LiS1 and 2 and that i preferred 2. someone replied me saying that i am not entitled to my own opinions because i preferred LiS2. that made me so sad.
Yeah same! LIS 2 makes me way more emotional and I also felt connection to the characters that weren’t there for the whole game so the rather quick change of places made it a lot more sadder
Personally I don't mind them being remastered. If people don't wanna buy them they don't have to, and those who do get something good out of it. As far as LiS2 I liked it quite a bit, not as much as the original but more than BtS. Things I liked about it more were the soundtrack, graphics and atmosphere while the plot and characters were better in the original. I think True Colors could be really good if they struck a happy medium with those, the concept of the power is interesting as well as the story from what we know. Though I don't like how they straight up told us the character who's gonna die, since now there'll be significantly less emotional impact when it happens. If they kept that a secret then it'd likely add to the story from a players perspective. Though if they wanted to market it similarly then maybe just say someone dies instead of the specific person who died? That way you get across what the game will be without giving away too much. Idk it's just weird to me
interesting video! as a LIS2 fan, the True Colors + Remastered Collection bundle (which is the "TC Ultimate Edition") kinda feels like.... a slap in the face? it just feels extremely excluding since its literally _every_ LIS game except the ones relating to LIS2. i know it didnt do as well, but i think companies completely sweeping projects under the rug when they arent as successful is one of the worst business decisions they too often make. its really disheartening and honestly makes me feel a little sour about the bundle. i loved most of the games (havent played True Colors yet) but seeing my favorite get treated like an unwanted child, now not only by the fans but by the companies themselves, really hurts. but more specifically about the Remastered Collection, the Life is Strange series always felt like indie games. Square Enix is a big company, so i know they werent _really_ indie games, but thats the vibe they always had, especially bc of their relatively cheap pricing that made them accessible to everyone. but True Colors and its Ultimate Edition costing from $60 - $80 USD???? as a gay young adult (who i guess is part of their target audience) i do not have that kind of money to regularly spend on games. especially bc i keep hearing True Colors is incredibly short (ive heard its shorter than Before the Storm???) and, like you said, the Remastered Collection is just the same LIS1 and BTS storyline, but with a few tweaks. as a LIS2 fan and as a young broke gay, these things just.... sadly dont feel worth an actual buy from me at all. like you, ill probs just be watching youtubers play it and thats it.
there’s a lot of dialogue that was cut from the original game, such as nathan saying he knows about the storm, i hope some of that is included in the remaster! im pretty sure we are getting some new dialogue/content.
It sucks that LiS 2 didn't do so well commercially because as an actual IRL older brother, I loved the concept of the younger sibling being the one with powers and we as the main character/older brother has to guide them to the right choices just like how we would with our actual real life younger siblings.
At first i wasn't attracted to playing lis 2, but after a few years i decided to give it a try, im not disappointed, the characters and story grew on me, Cassidy being my favorite character
I bought the ultimate edition with no hesitation, because I want to see the remastered cutscenes. Any emotion from the scene with Max and Warren in the diner that I may have felt was absolutely killed by their unmoving faces. I can't wait.
Me too. And I still haven’t played the remastered games because uni is taking up all of my time. Looking forward to being able to play them this summer though
A year later and as a huge fan of the original, I think it’s safe to say this remaster was not worth it. It’s a bad sign when people still argue about which game looked better, which is one a credit to the gorgeous watercolor art style of the original but also shows that it was too soon to remaster. But a huge issue for me is that we got nothing in the form of new content. I’m a huge fan of this game, it’s one of my top five all time. Playing through those first two episodes especially was magical for me. That being said, the game is regularly cited even by its biggest fans as deeply flawed. This was a chance to change all that. Yes it’s nice that the lip synching and motion capture was built upon, but this game had some gameplay and story shortcomings. How about in the last episode’s nightmare sequence what you see and hear is based upon your previous choices? How about more character building opportunities opened up based upon previous choices? How about new location set pieces to go explore? How about a final ending choice that has more influence from your previous choices? How about alternative ways to solve puzzles that reflect character personality? Maybe some benign character immersion choices to make? Opportunity to build richer relationships and with new/underused characters? New Easter Eggs? Alternate endings from multiple playthroughs? Weather cycles? New photo ops? Maybe even an actual school photo contest to participate in? Some endgame content? Tie-ins to the other entries? I could go on! This was a chance to get more resources to build a game not limited by a shoestring budget from a hesitant publisher picking up an unproven concept. It could come with a purist mode that leaves the game just as the original was, and a new expanded version that seeks to address some of the criticisms that fans and critics alike all raised. Lazy remakes suck, because games rarely get remade multiple times and it deprives everyone of realizing the true potential of a game. Hopefully they take another crack at LIS remastered at some point in the future, though I’m not optimistic about it.
Unpopular opinion: I liked lis 2 better than the original. I just found it to be more interesting and I enjoyed the bigger choices you had because you had to account for your little brother too. I also think people weren’t attracted to the game because you didn’t have powers your brother did but I really didn’t mind that Sean didn’t have powers, for me lis games are fun because of the different choices you can make and how it effects your story and not the power aspect. And all of your choices had a much a bigger impact in the end than the original. Maybe it’s because I have a little brother with the same age gap as Sean and Daniel so maybe I resignate with it more but I literally loved lis 2 so much.
yall are tripping if you think the second life is strange was bad- the second was BY FAR the saddest one. It took me a second re-watching to completely understand and feel for it. also literally DAVID IS IN IT!!!????
LiS2 is my favorite of the series. I hate to be that person but I’m black and I felt I can relate to the brothers far more than Max/Chloe. Before the Storm was so boring a lot of TH-camrs didn’t even finish it. I’m surprised that’s not the worst.
What you explain here is largely why I think LIS 2 wasn't as successful. The original game built a large and very dedicated audience around Max and Chloe, largely because so many people could relate to them and the setting of the game. With LIS 2 it has a very different set of characters and setting, making it hard for a lot of the original fans to relate or be as interested. With these games being so heavily story and character based, with a big part of them being how the player gets emotionally connected with the characters it makes it a difficult kind of series to successfully maintain a consistent audience.
100% understand what you’re saying. I bought it when it was announced and am excited for its release, but I was skeptical for a while. I changed my view when they announced they would be delaying the remaster until early 2022. While I’m a little sad I have to wait longer to re experience the games, I have more hope. I’m really hoping that they give the game a bit more polish so it’s nice and shiny at release.
I feel like life is strange 2 is the only game where I can truely feel sorry for the main characters and what's happening to them and sure the writing still isn't all that but it's worlds better that true colors and the original, I feel bad that it's notcied or talked about much bc it actually talks about some good things and over all has better characters and story
i love the remaster so much, i don't plan on buying it but i really can't wait to rewatch scenes from it.. i completely understand everyones distain because usually people don't like remasters, because they're not easy to do correctly.. but something about them making LIS1 more visually appealing makes me super happy, because of my fond memories of the game, i saw it in a good light despite how it looked visually, and now i can create newer images of that game in my head.. idk im just so happy they returned to LIS1, even if its just small stuff. nobody else really has this opinion tho so hhh.. sorry for gushing i just have such fond memories of LIS1 :)
I think they should've gone the Borderlands GOTY way of remastering, just make it free for people who already own the original version, not charge $40 for a 6 year old game with graphical improvements, it's even worse in Before the Storm's case, because the game hasn't aged that badly, it still holds up in my opinion. The worst part is that now it's going to be really hard to find any sales for these games. Last Summer Sale there was no price drop for any of the two games, but LiS 2 was at a discount, it's like they're keeping the price up so people don't buy them until the remasters release, then they'll just swap it for the updated expensive version of the games. This is even worse for foreign countries, this part doesn't really affect most of the people watching this video, but as a brazilian, I have to show how awful this is: Minimum wage here is at R$1.100 The Remastered Collection is priced at R$199,00 (basically the price of a brand new AAA game, Cyberpunk costs R$199,90 for reference) True Colors Ultimate Edition costs R$403,78 So even the version that's a "deal" (True Colors Ultimate) costs 36% of the minimum wage for us. Meanwhile, I bought the original game for R$9,00, and it costs only R$36,99 currently. Before the Storm costs R$44,99, with the deluxe version being priced at R$65,30 (when it goes on sale, it usually sells for around R$30) Imagine earning $210,10 and paying $38 for the remastered collection while still having to pay the bills!
I feel like it's possible they could, really doubt it, but possible. Deck9 made Before the Storm, so they're already established spinoff series, with the remaster done it would be easier to create a sequel as they'll already have some higher quality assets. I also believe that it's possible because it would clearly make a ton of money, and while with Dontnod not really being involved anymore they seem to be largely following what was already established, they could also very easily take things in their own direction now.
I also think that a remastered game would be a great way to announce a sequel to the series. Refamiliarize original fans with the game and bring in a new audience of people who might not have played it yet. Then at the end, or just shortly after announce the next game following Max and Chloe after the storm, now using the new graphic style. Would also be a good reason for why the remaster was put back so far, the sequel game needed more time and they want it's release/announcement to go well with the remaster so delay both.
You can't really do that since everyone picked different endings so it'd be based on whatever you picked. (Which means 2 completely separate games in one basically.)
@@jaidenoliver7165 It's unlikely because of how it's not really possible. They'd literally have to undermine people's choices and make one ending more canon than the other which, would cause a lot of infighting.
me the whole video: “ugh, i totally agree. the remastered collection is definitely not worth $40. 🙄” the video: “let me know in the comments. will you still be purchasing the remastered collection?” also me: “oh well yes obviously”
Hey Luke it's head-full-of-things from discord! A great video as always Agree with you on every word- the remastered collection feels like D9's attempt to say "we are the studio of life is strange". Every time a trailer for True Colors says "from the studio that brought you life is strange" it makes me so upset. Yeah technicality they're allowed to say that because Square Enix is the studio that owns the franchise, but the heart and the head behind this story is Dontnod. And I hate to see them thrown out like that just because they dared to write another beautiful and creative story story that's just in a different direction. I didn't even notice what you said about how they make the lis remastered to look more like the style of true colors! But yeah you're completely right. Sorry, I might be a little too bitter... True Colors does seem like a really great game with an interesting mystery and I'll play it when it comes out.
Not gonna lie, it makes me pretty sad that a lot of people wrote off LiS 2 without even trying it. IMO it's substantially better than the LiS 1 and BtS (not to throw shade at those games, still a fan). I'm still rather happy that the remaster is coming out, as I always really disliked the animation for some of LiS1, namely the mouth movements. It will be nice to see that fixed, hopefully. I've ordered the ultimate edition of LiS 3, so I'll be checking out the remasters, though I 100% agree that a full replay will be very unnecessary lol. Great vid as always :)
I think LiS 2 is a much better iteration of the series than LiS 1 because they really took fan criticism to heart - more endings, more branching choices, etc. It's so, so underrated unfortunately
I feel like Square Enix doesn’t understand what the LiS series is supposed to be, and it really shows when they hand it off to DeckNine. DeckNine is good at visual and the overall idea, but the miss the artistry and themes behind the story. Don’tNod is more focused on the aesthetic and small details that (mostly) matter, and that attention to detail is what really brings their games together. LiS 1 & 2 leave me feeling so contemplative and immersed in their story and themes, I want to dive into really deep discussions over almost every detail. BtS and True Colors are just so ehh, they LOOK great, but they feel soulless, I don’t feel a need to break down the stories and have any deep discussions about the choices or themes.
And I feel like you can’t compare 1 and 2, they both stand out on their own. They are very different in terms of story telling, gameplay mechanics, and emotions. LiS 2 deserves SOOOO much more recognition.
Marketing for LiS 2 was also non-existent while True Colors was shoved in our faces. I started working at GameStop October 2018, a month after LiS 2 came out, and I saw NO marketing for it. I didn’t even realize there was a sequel until months later, and since I’d heard no one talk about it I wasn’t as interested. None of my coworkers even knew what it was, and they’d been working there during its release. True Colors on the other hand, we had soooo much marketing for it, it was plastered all over the stores before release. Normally “big” games have multiple “training” modules to educate employees on all of the details to help sell the game, we had like 5 for True Colors and none for LiS 2. Like I said, my coworkers didn’t even know what it was, most of them thought True Colors was the first sequel(BtS being a prequel).
agreed about D9’s writing. like i really enjoyed the atmosphere and mood of BtS as much as LiS but the story was just so cringe and pointless and even the side plots like eliot and the romance with rachel felt forced and rushed. farewell is still like top 3 LiS ever tho so they got it right on that one.
I didn't play Life is strange till a few years ago but I quickly grew to love the game, despite the poor writing and flawed characters I loved the story with Max and Chloes relationship . Before the storm was ok, it was technically better in every way graphically but the storyline didn't grab me at all and I struggled to care about the characters at all despite loving Chloe from the first game. The second game is odd for me, I loved Captain Spirit but when I moved on to the main game I disliked the characters and was quickly growing unconcerned about the brothers journey and just quit playing. I might have to give the game another shot. Anyway all this leads to True Colours looking like it might be a good game and it's been long enough now that I would love to play the first Life is strange game again and despite already owning it I'm really hoping playing the remaster will allow me to enjoy the game all over again. The diner scenes in the last episode where all the mouth movements are missing making the whole section look really bad and ruining the moment definitely has to be fixed.
@@WarriorOfGod-8 if you mean cause I didn't like the second game then maybe, but the fact that the first game tore at my emotions at times says otherwise.
I find it funny when the characters are suddenly hispanic you dislike them like a lot of other people did too in the lis fandom hmmmm..... Ironically likes Chris more who has a small one to two hours game over two brothers who have episodes worth of stuff but alright.
@@benkenobi3364 It's possible I may be a little racist and so dislike the second game for that reason but I doubt it, I have no problems watching and playing games whose main characters are from other races, genders, sexual orientation and so on. I think it's more likely the little brother, his behaviour and interactions with the big brother that put me off but I'm not too sure anymore since it's hard to remember what put me off. As for Captian Spirit, well it's too short to get bored and his imagination being part of the game made it more interesting and fun.
When you said “Just being Life is Strange is not enough” I legit was like, “Oh. Well. Is for me.” I totally see your perspective though! I just am super excited for the remaster. Also, I think I hold a different opinion on replay value, but that’s okay too. ✌🏻 I really liked hearing your thoughts.
I feel like the remasters could be a way of catching people up to speed who haven’t played the previous games to excite them for a new life is strange game featuring Max and possibly Chloe due to high demand. The remasters could be a way for keeping us occupied til we get the next life is strange game
I think you raise a lot of good points. I'm still really excited for both the remaster and True Colors, but I think it comes down to marketing as the issue. True Colors looks fun, although I think they're leaning too heavy on earlier parts of the game. After Gabe dies we see a few clips although I think it'll take a lot bigger of a turn in its story from there. While the start which is most of what they've shown is much more lighthearted. The remaster I think is from an earlier version and Square Enix probably wanted them to rush out the trailer for their E3 show. Meanwhile the actual version could look better as shown in the new screenshots. I'm just speculating on this, but True Colors is still one of the most anticipated games for me and I love this series. Hopefully they both turn out to be good and we also get some more LIS2 content. I think there was actually a leak for a switch version of LIS2 although it was deleted. Could've just been a mistake though. Really well done video and I completely get where you stand on these.
I will buy the Remaster via the Ultimate Edition of True Colors, but I'm also quite skeptical about it. Like you said, it isn't really worth it when you have access to the much cheaper normal versions. I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention the high price for True Colors. At $60, it's the most expensive Life is Strange game you can buy. I think Life is Strange 2 was "only" $40; don't remember the initial price of Life is Strange and Before the Storm, but it was even cheaper. I am excited for True Colors, but I sincerely hope the price will be worth it!
I personally like the graphics of the first game, made it more authentic in my opinion, Then one thing I don't like is a teen version of the x men that this is turning into
Does it justify? IMO No. I'm glad LiS1 is finally getting mocap, but the re-release/remasters is not necessary, considering both 9th gen consoles do have backwards compatibility. I just wish Square Enix did a physical PC release. I love Life is Strange. As with many, it got me over my rougher teenage/puberty years. I would love to have LiS 1 on my shelf.
I think LIS 2 was a lot better than the first. Maybe it’s just because I played the first when I was younger and didn’t understand anything as much but Idk. I jsut like the story better for the second one.
I only played episode 1 because it was free, but I'm very interested in LiS, I ended up buying the ultimate bundle with LiS True Colors and LiS Remastered Collection. From what I've played, I think some things better in the original, but I'm curious to see how the graphical and mocap changes are going.
Potentially Controversial Opinion, I fucking love the Life is Strange franchise as a whole, all the games, of course I can pin point many flaws, the plot holes from LiS1 and Before the Storm, the information that never gets addressed however of all of the Life is Strange games, Life is Stange 2 is by far my absolute favourite, I love them all for different things but the story of Sean and Daniel just captivated me in a way that I didnt get with the other ones, and admittadly I held off on playing it for a while because originally I couldnt get into it but once I played it I fell in love. The art style kept the same sketchy vibes at Life is Strange but improved on the graffics emmensly and its just stunning. I am obsessed with the Franchise and bought the Ultimate bundle of LiS True Colors with the Wavelengths DLC and the Remastered versions and I am personally super excited for it because I'm hoping its going to bring a new sense of life to the original game. Because admittadly Max's lips not moving at all while talking to Warren in the Diner in Episode 5 did kinda kill the vibe a little bit.
I'll be buying it on both Xbox and Google Stadia. I'm a collector at heart so it'll be cool to have a version at home and on the go in my pocket. Hopefully they will give LIS 2 and Captain Spirit the Unreal Engine 5 treatment in another few years as a remaster although it still looks good as is right now.
I personally pre-ordered the Remastered Collection of Life is Strange because I already planned on buying True Colors which is why I bought the Ultimate Edition and because Life is Strange has always been a comfort game for me, but $40 USD for the Remastered Collection is unfair and I could completely understand why people would be skeptical and not want this. I’m really hoping that the screenshots shown on the Steam page are what we’re really going to be receiving, but this could also be Deck Nine using bullshots to deceive us which I hope isn’t the case because Steam has a policy against bullshots and misrepresentation through the use of touched up and inaccurate screenshots. So, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see while also keeping out expectations under control. Also, spectacular video and I’m looking forward to your future content. :)
When I brought the remastered version of life is strange and before the storm, the main resion was to collect the trophies on the ps4, as getting platinum on these game is super easy. I did have an issue with before the storm as the colours was so off that Chole Price was dark brown in colour in the shade and bright white in the light, also the glow effect was so harsh that I could not make out what was going on. Manage to complete both games though with all the trophies.
Now life is strange 2 is considered “bad graphics” I’m happy they’ve improved so much since the release of life is strange 1. But I do really like the hand drawn feeling back then.
@@CucuOnGames i honestly did not play Before the Storm because i knew it would be sad. But that's also the reason why I preordered the Ultimate Edition of True Colors
I found LiS 2 to be painfully boring. I loved LiS and was super excited for LiS 2. Then I played it and I was so bored. Something about it just felt-- off to me. I didn't relate to any characters and felt it dragged for too long. However that's my opinion.
there was a lot of content missing from lis1, like a whole storyline about nathan knowing about the storm, so I wish they added that in for the remaster
YES!! doki doki plus is such a hetter "remaster", a part of it is identical to ddlc, but it adds so much new content and so many new stories to justify its price
As of 2023, LIS 2 has sold MORE than LIS True Colors. The official figures: - Life is Strange: 5.7 million - Life is Strange 2: 647,000 - Before the Storm: 787,000 - True Colors: 346,000
I’m not sure if someone has already commented this or if you haven’t already made a video of this/are aware of this but I’ll comment it anyways. Life is Strange Remaster is the result of multiple things outside of just reselling the game, firstly, it’s the result of Deck Nine’s vision of the series, now that DontNod have left partnership with Square Enix Deck Nine now have full creative control over the series, and it’s quality. DontNod likely never wanted to remaster or re sell the original as they either didn’t have the money or simply didn’t want to, as with Deck Nine, they likely feel re selling the game as a higher quality product will do the original justice and please fans who want to see it. Ok, secondly, and this might be a stretch but this is based off a lot of research, a credible leaker leaked many aspects of true colours back in may of last year, all of which came true, they also found a sequel with max and Chloe in pre production at the time, this is unlikely to just be the remastered collection as that, if leaked, would be in the same state of development or not far behind from true colours. Along with this developers when switching to a new engine like true colours with unreal 4, and when already designing/making a game that features many new and remastered assets will sell a remaster of the original as well, it means they can just take the work they’ve done and slap it into the new game, along with new mocap, lighting and graphics, it’s more so unlikely that they would just remaster the original without a solid chunk of the work already been done for them. Finally, and my best reason, with DontNod, the developers who claimed Max and Chloe would never return and that a canon ending wasn’t possible, being out of the picture, and full creative control being in Deck Nine’s hands, AND with Steph returning from their game, it seems nigh impossible to me that a massive apocalyptic tornado destroying Arcadia bay and killing everyone they love wouldn’t be mentioned by Steph during the game or her DLC. While many can say the real ending is saving Bay, not Bae, it’s simply not possible, Max saw that Tornado at the beginning, she was alone, and while many will say that Tornado was caused by time bending shenanigans from Max, I disagree, there’s plenty of videos on this but I’ll cut to the chase, Max was really a Moses, a saviour, she was gifted that ability to not stop the tornado, but to save the people of Arcadia Bay from it, to lead them away in her metaphorical ark, and in that case she both failed and succeeded, she saved her best friend, theres just no
+ way Deck Nine would choose the Bay ending, they know the sales for the game wouldn’t score as many as they possibly could, and with them being the developers of Before the Storm, I have a secret feeling they have a favourite ending. And as well as this Jefferson is likely still alive in that bunker, Sean Prescott too, there is definitely a lot of material to work with here and with a returning character they are clearly up for dropping the Halloween style anthology and giving fans what they want.
And I completely forgot to add, it’s likely the remastered collection will be on gamepass and ps plus at some point soon after launch, considering the original was on gamepass before DONTNOD left Square Enix and it was pulled from the library.
When I originally played the game I was unsure if the whole event could be avoided just by letting Chloe die, and it doesn't completely make sense that it would be because of Max messing with the timeline too much or anything since she saw it coming before what happened in the bathroom or even realising about the rewind power. I also certainly think most people prefer the save Chloe ending, or would at least like to see something based from that as most of the reason I've seen for sacrificing her is just because you're saving more people but don't want to kill Chloe. Maybe not an entirely new LIS game, like LIS 4 with Max and Chloe back, but I could definitely imagine them making a sequel to that story, like how BTS was a smaller game set before. Though they did make Farewell which definitely felt like a good way to end their story completely. Again though I think now Dontnod aren't really involved at all, Deck9 are largely following what was originally established just building on it, I feel like Square Enix would LOVE for them to make another game not just a remaster featuring Max and Chloe because they know how much money that would make. AND they'll already have higher quality assets from making the remaster, making a sequel game even easier. They could even use some of the story already established in LIS 2 where they essentially go on a road trip but eventually get back with David and things are good, Max is working on her photography career still...
Are these small improvements / changes worth buying the same game again for twice the price? Not to mention that the currently offered "remaster" is not a clear improvement, but unfinished at best. Other developers offer such graphic updates as a free download and in a better quality.
Tbh I consider life is strange to be a game with replay value because despite getting to "see all outcomes" the results of what outcome you chose can change a future choice, butterfly effect baby
Tbh I haven’t even finished LIS 3 yet. LIS 2 was such an incredible game that had weight to every decision and interaction. Chloe and Max feel like old friends, but Sean and Daniel feel like family. The reception LIS 2 got from the fandom left a reallyyyy bad taste in my mouth.
Not gonna lie i dont feel a huge need for the remasters but damn i love the series so much that I wouldn’t mind playing a new version and grabbin achievements all over again i hope they add some new ones
also, its crazy for how long i know this game, it was like mid 2018... 3 years wow. what makes it an amazing game is probably the soundtrack, i just daily listen to it then when i realize "wow this is lis soundtrack" and thats prob why i never forget about the game even though the first games aren't reaaaally choice games, in the end nothing matters, it can still be a cool game, and its so nostalgic for me lmao i *had* a friend that really liked lis too so we sometimes talked about it but damn this was really long ago gotta love how lis 3 was released 2 months ago already, i remember watching it on release, best lis game now lis 2, it actually was a good game it just wasn't *emotional* but i like that they touched some stuff about xenophobia racism and this stuff. but what they fucked up is the episodes. it took a YEAR (pretty sure game released sep 26 2018, and last episode was on sep 20-24 2019) to release, which at least to me, by the time the next episode had been released i already forgot everything, so yeah im glad that they released everythin at a time on lis 3. but its a good game just kinda underrated because no max and chloe (just like people saying lis 1 is better than 3, i know its a opinion and i respect it, but the argument almost always is "LOL max and chloe = better")
for me personally, i didnt love 2 cause i just didnt like the characters, i liked the story and i do LIKE the game, i just didnt persay love it. i got the collection cause i just love the games, i love true colours, its honestly my favourite now, i just wish they cleaned up the artsy style instead of just getting rid of it, i do miss it a lot. LIS is such a comfort game for me and im gonna love it no matter what, fingers crossed the remaster does it well. im always gonna have a positive mindset with something thats incredibly comforting to me.
Hey, at the time this video came out your skepticism was justified, but now the remastered collection has been delayed until this next February, so I think it will be significantly improved graphically.
I've never played LiS 1 or BTS so that's why I bought the remastered because I also wanted TC so it seemed like a good deal but I definitely will buy the originals when I have more money because I've watched people play the original ones before
Personally I think the remasters aren't a bad idea. Sure, a whole remake in like, 5 more years would've been better than a remaster in a few months, but I think they're doing this to gauge how much the fanbase would want to see sequel with Max and Chloe. And to me, if the remasters end up looking like the screenshots, it's totally worth it. Not to mention that the remasters are a great surprise to old "fans" like me. I played the game only once back in 2015, I liked it, tried getting every collectibles and achievements, even replayed whole chapters when something turned out not the way I wanted, but I completely forgot about the game afterwards. Yeah I heard about BtS, even saw that people like Pewds and Jack played it, but never got interested into the game, then the trailer for LIS 2 came, and I was like "neat" but still didn't care. However, 4 months ago back in April when I heard about the remasters, I was hyped. So I think for the OG's that played the first game back when the first episode came out, the remasters are great. Sucks they got delayed though, bit pissed about that.
I also think that since they'll have all the assets from the remaster, some type of sequel game would be much easier as well. Wouldn't need to be a full one like Life is Strange 4 or anything, but just a short 3 episode series like BTS could certainly work. And they know it would earn a ton of money, so really why not?
Personally I heard of life is strange through my gfs old friend. I was Intrigued by the gameplay/art style but I wouldn’t purchase it. I personally got the game for free through the ps store and that’s how I got into the who series. I waited to get true Colour for a decent price ($30 CAD, got it a couple of weeks ago) but, if I can get a physical copy and it’s on sale for a decent amount off then I would probably get the remaster edition.
This is just my opinion and all but one reason I think they are making the remastered collection is because they want to catch up newer fans to the franchise before they release lis season 4
In my personal opinion, and maybe I didn’t just understand the story properly, but I didn’t enjoy true colors, the story was predictable, suddenly Alex could control her powers after chapter 1’s outbursts, I wish we could of seen more of that as it slowly develops to her being able to control them, her brothers death felt unnecessary, especially since that one guy just straight up cuts the rope, which makes me believe he may be a villain of some sort, I was close enough anyways. Also one of the chapters was a legit RPG segment and another was a chapter that could be completed in under an hour. Life is strange 2 is probably my favorite out of the series, as it creates a mechanic of your actions influencing someone else’s actions (Sean influencing Daniel), and it’s like watching something you caused do stuff you told it to do. It also combats the issue of racism as one of its main turning points throughout the story, and it also doesn’t provide you a full happy ending where everyone is okay, much like the first game. Just remember! This is my opinion, you’re allowed to disagree with me! If you enjoy true colors that’s ok! I’m not gonna tell you that you can’t like it, I did really enjoy the visuals and the whole empathy thing in the game! Thanks for reading
Personally I somewhat agree with the demo. I would say maybe 15 to 28 with covering LGBTQ and men and women. Majority of the people within that demo don't really have the money to spend $40 dollars for a game that the can potentially get for free. I'd rather treck down a copy for $15 used then pay $45 for a "remastered" (I'm 24)
can somebody please tell me why at 10:30 chloe has only a strand of hair dyed blue? as far as i know we did not get to experience chloe looking like this neither in lis1 nor before the storm. or am i missing something? i just wonder why they chose this picture as an advertisement for the remastered collection.
Hey, can you answer me a question!? Getting the Remastered collection alone gets you pre order bonuses for the game. If I preorder LIS True Colors Ultimate Edition, do you still get those preorder bonuses for LiS Remastered? Because if not, that's bullshit. That means that if you want absolutely everything both games have to offer, you HAVE to buy them separately. Which is shit.
I was one of those people who never played any LiS game I wanted to play more character driven story games and Life is Strange kept popping up with great reviews I was going to buy True Colors by itself but then I seen the ultimate edition of True Colors came with 2 remasters and all DLC for True Colors I just had to get it and I feel like it was well worth it as true colors was 60$ alone while the ultimate was 80$ I had 0 expectations and both LiS & BtS blew me away
Max is a photography student . Chloe wasnt an art student she was a maths wizz
@@jaidenoliver7165 not to mention an ending that allows you to save both arcadia and chloe
@@remingtonbaker1804 I know what you mean. It’s ideal. But it’s not realistic. Both endings are meant to have a down side and suffering. That’s what makes it a hard choice.
Deck Nine? More like Dick Nine.
I didn't realise life is strange 2 was so unsuccessful I'm so shocked! For me that game hit me the most out of all of them
Marketing was pretty much a flop and it did have agendas that didn't quite meet other people's ideals.
But for me LIS2 still was the perfect game.
I didn’t like it as much as lis 1 but I still loved it. No idea why it was so unsuccessful, guess people just wanted to see Max and Chole again
Probably the fault of possessive fans not wanting to give it a chance because theyre too biased for the original
It makes me so sad at the fact that people didnt like 2 because it had no max and chloe 😭
@@CinnaMK What agendas?
@@destinyraex The one that comes to mind is the use of racism in it. Like by the time they got to those hillbilly guys in the desert I wasn't sure if they were trying to say "Racism is bad" or "White people are bad." When it was happening I thought "Ok yeah I get it anyway", it just felt like too much to me personally
ngl lis 2 was so good is just kinda sad how unappreciated it is
Trust me most of them who disliked it are toxic Max and Chloe fans. The minority actually had valid points to why they disliked it but I've seen more "Max was way better" than actual critique in the comments at least.
I even saw this one person worshipping Max and Chloe in someone's channel and when I asked them if they were going to play the Lis true colours they of course answered "Not sure I want to see my baby Max again in the remaster" :)
Ok I don't know what I wrote here I'm tired lol
@@vjsm Oh if only you had finished the episodes then you would have seen that it matters to Sean too...
lis2 deserved better, it was a great game with emotional and touching story and more than just two endings, so i truly don't understand the flop
It was because it wasn't about Chloe & Max or didn't have a strong connection like TC did (aka having Steph)
Yes David was connected and in CS Chris mom did attend to Blackwell but that's all there is connection wise
I see some people say that the year it came out was also the reason why people didn't want to play it
Note: This rant contains minor plot spoilers for LIS2
As far as the remaster goes, if the "Updated and refined gameplay and puzzles" mean removing the extremely annoying sections of the game that felt like they were just added to give the illusion of "gameplay" I'd be very welcome to that.

The remaster to me is worth it, as it addresses my critiques on the originals.
If the current lighting updates on the latest True Colors video is indicative of the more polished remaster, then I can't say I have any negative thing to say about the remasters.

i personally loved LiS2. its sad that people are dismissing it without even trying the game. its so underrated, i somehow felt more connected to Sean and Daniel than to Max and Chole. i once made a comment on my thoughts on LiS1 and 2 and that i preferred 2. someone replied me saying that i am not entitled to my own opinions because i preferred LiS2. that made me so sad.
Idk it's just weird to me
Yeah, I have the same issue with TC that I did with LiS 2 - I really wish the early press releases didn't cover such a major death so quickly
interesting video! as a LIS2 fan, the True Colors + Remastered Collection bundle (which is the "TC Ultimate Edition") kinda feels like.... a slap in the face? it just feels extremely excluding since its literally _every_ LIS game except the ones relating to LIS2. i know it didnt do as well, but i think companies completely sweeping projects under the rug when they arent as successful is one of the worst business decisions they too often make. its really disheartening and honestly makes me feel a little sour about the bundle. i loved most of the games (havent played True Colors yet) but seeing my favorite get treated like an unwanted child, now not only by the fans but by the companies themselves, really hurts.
but more specifically about the Remastered Collection, the Life is Strange series always felt like indie games.
LiS 2 is the only game in the series to make me openly sob at like every ending
LIS2 is so underrated, imo its scenario is better written than LIS1. I feel the huge fanservice with the remaster. It was not necessary.
I played a bit of the first episode of Life is Strange 2 and it hooked me
Just like all middle children LIS2 was a hidden gem. I love that game sm, I always feel sad when I think about how few people gave it a fair chance.
Looking forward to this!
yall are tripping if you think the second life is strange was bad- the second was BY FAR the saddest one.
This is even worse for foreign countries, this part doesn't really affect most of the people watching this video, but as a brazilian, I have to show how awful this is:
Minimum wage here is at R$1.100
The Remastered Collection is priced at R$199,00 (basically the price of a brand new AAA game, Cyberpunk costs R$199,90 for reference)
True Colors Ultimate Edition costs R$403,78
So even the version that's a "deal" (True Colors Ultimate) costs 36% of the minimum wage for us.
Meanwhile, I bought the original game for R$9,00, and it costs only R$36,99 currently. Before the Storm costs R$44,99, with the deluxe version being priced at R$65,30 (when it goes on sale, it usually sells for around R$30)
Imagine earning $210,10 and paying $38 for the remastered collection while still having to pay the bills!
This has nothing to with the video but I wish they made a “Life is strange: Afrer The Storm” I wanna see what happens after the storm is over
Technically an youtuber is making some sort of fan game just like that after the storm.
the video: “let me know in the comments. will you still be purchasing the remastered collection?”
also me: “oh well yes obviously”
Hey Luke it's head-full-of-things from discord! A great video as always
Agree with you on every word- the remastered collection feels like D9's attempt to say "we are the studio of life is strange".
Chloe is honestly looking like she came out of a Bratz episode
this comment KILLED me bahsahahhahaha
You have no heart 💘
@@WarriorOfGod-8 if you mean cause I didn't like the second game then maybe, but the fact that the first game tore at my emotions at times says otherwise.
@@jjk-9 oh yah.. the 2nd game does suck xD
I really liked hearing your thoughts.
I’m here after they just delayed it
just made a video about this! haha
I am excited for True Colors, but I sincerely hope the price will be worth it!
i got the ultimate edition for 60 dollars so i feel i got the moneys worth for the remasters. Im really interested in seeing the mocap
OG game was 20 bucks, still is.
I would love to have LiS 1 on my shelf.
maybe im onfused on ancronyms but PC? computer? its on that
I think LIS 2 was a lot better than the first. Maybe it’s just because I played the first when I was younger and didn’t understand anything as much but Idk. I jsut like the story better for the second one.
I wonder if this video is going to something positive or negative
They just delayed it.
Looking at max in the thumbnail… it aint looking good
The thumbnail max was beta stage so this would b pretty ignorant if they use this
@@purrfectdanii wdym beta stage? Its in the trailer
Bro drop the vid tonight I need your content
More importantly... Frank’s beans!
I only played episode 1 because it was free, but I'm very interested in LiS, I ended up buying the ultimate bundle with LiS True Colors and LiS Remastered Collection. From what I've played, I think some things better in the original, but I'm curious to see how the graphical and mocap changes are going.
Life is strange 2 is absolutely amazing I love that game so much I'm going to play the original life is strange today so kind of excited
It took me a while to get into life is strange 2 I got into it at the end of episode 3
Imagine if Naughty Dog made the LIS series? The graphical quality would be infinitely better.
I think the graphics and art style of the Life is Strange games make them what they are
Yeah but it wouldn’t have that LiS vibe or art style
@@ah4902 At least these days we'll get better animation and visual quality with that style.
Best is Quantic Dream do made Detroit become Humans
Had to pause to wheeze at the "scary dude from tiktok" reference
oh I love internet
Now life is strange 2 is considered “bad graphics” I’m happy they’ve improved so much since the release of life is strange 1. But I do really like the hand drawn feeling back then.
Huh.. i just realized that True Colors is not from DontNod.
yeah! it's from DeckNine, the same devs who made before the storm and farewell :)
@@CucuOnGames i honestly did not play Before the Storm because i knew it would be sad. But that's also the reason why I preordered the Ultimate Edition of True Colors
You read all of the comments, why that's nice. Thank you. : )
What you say in the video makes a lot of sense. Good ideas there.
I found LiS 2 to be painfully boring. I loved LiS and was super excited for LiS 2. Then I played it and I was so bored. Something about it just felt-- off to me. I didn't relate to any characters and felt it dragged for too long. However that's my opinion.
yes! idk why but i found it boring.
Good news its delayed until 2022
yep! i made a new video about it just now haha
@@CucuOnGames yea better to be delay so they make not bugged game and beautifull remaster
I plan on getting it.
there was a lot of content missing from lis1, like a whole storyline about nathan knowing about the storm, so I wish they added that in for the remaster
lis2 was amazing btw it’s so underrated! :(
If not for anything else, remastered Max is absolutely *beautiful* and totally made buying the game worth it for me.
great video! I don't think that its just for advertisement since they even delayed it to 2022.
YES!! doki doki plus is such a hetter "remaster", a part of it is identical to ddlc, but it adds so much new content and so many new stories to justify its price
As of 2023, LIS 2 has sold MORE than LIS True Colors. The official figures:
- Life is Strange: 5.7 million
- Life is Strange 2: 647,000
- Before the Storm: 787,000
- True Colors: 346,000
God true colors was so horrible thank god lol😂 but where did you get your sources?
I need to see some actual gameplay and feedback before actually deciding on this..
I liked life is strange 2. But life is strange 1 is best
I hope Nathan Prescott’s jacket shows up in the Dark Room in the remastered.
lmao the song cutting at the very start
Are these small improvements / changes worth buying the same game again for twice the price? Not to mention that the currently offered "remaster" is not a clear improvement, but unfinished at best.
Other developers offer such graphic updates as a free download and in a better quality.
I got the bundle not specifically for the remastered, but it made the pre-purchase easier for me.
Tbh I consider life is strange to be a game with replay value because despite getting to "see all outcomes" the results of what outcome you chose can change a future choice, butterfly effect baby
the trailer was from past year, so it was an old demo to be shown at last year's e3 i think
I wouldn't mind the price increase if the game also included all of the comics up to that point
The facial expressions and the lip-syncing was significantly better in the remastered version of the game.

3 years wow. what makes it an amazing game is probably the soundtrack, i just daily listen to it then when i realize "wow this is lis soundtrack" and thats prob why i never forget about the game
even though the first games aren't reaaaally choice games, in the end nothing matters, it can still be a cool game, and its so nostalgic for me lmao i *had* a friend that really liked lis too so we sometimes talked about it
but damn this was really long ago
gotta love how lis 3 was released 2 months ago already, i remember watching it on release, best lis game
now lis 2, it actually was a good game it just wasn't *emotional* but i like that they touched some stuff about xenophobia racism and this stuff. but what they fucked up is the episodes. it took a YEAR (pretty sure game released sep 26 2018, and last episode was on sep 20-24 2019) to release, which at least to me, by the time the next episode had been released i already forgot everything, so yeah im glad that they released everythin at a time on lis 3. but its a good game just kinda underrated because no max and chloe (just like people saying lis 1 is better than 3, i know its a opinion and i respect it, but the argument almost always is "LOL max and chloe = better")
for me personally, i didnt love 2 cause i just didnt like the characters, i liked the story and i do LIKE the game, i just didnt persay love it. i got the collection cause i just love the games, i love true colours, its honestly my favourite now, i just wish they cleaned up the artsy style instead of just getting rid of it, i do miss it a lot.
I want that image at 9:20 - anyone know a link?
Also with the Doki Doki series, I heard of it through the internet but I picked it up for the ps5 for $40 CAD. Personally I love the game bow
Yes still thinking about buying this game ...
I already did and since I love this game I didn’t doubt that decision at all😅
Personally I somewhat agree with the demo.
How true this is now that game is released
can somebody please tell me why at 10:30 chloe has only a strand of hair dyed blue? as far as i know we did not get to experience chloe looking like this neither in lis1 nor before the storm. or am i missing something? i just wonder why they chose this picture as an advertisement for the remastered collection.
She actually dyes only one strand of her hair in the last episode of before the storm
@@sarapenickova5681 oh, thanks! I didn't not remember that at all
@@CherryWisienka" Didn't not"

@@CherryWisienkaGood to know. I ain't a genius though.
"I was being sarcastic"
Ok then.
Should have waited till all of them were a bundle to buy 3.
this man says right
As much as I love max and Chloe. Life is strange two hit closer to me and I found the story a lot better and more emotional
Life is strange 2 is my favourite and the best in the series to me, and true colours would be me second favourite and i dont care much for the first
Hey, can you answer me a question!?
