Such beautiful Diy's that you did in this video I love them all I didn't have a favorite because they all were my favorites I just made over my rabbits today almost the same way you did in this video. ❤❤❤❤
😊Hi Rachel. I love how you painted the rabbits.!! 👍👍[ Sorry about your water and pipe issues. ] Great you were able to do your projects even so..🥶! ( 6 degrees here tonight in Ohio. 🥶)
Oh no, Rachel! You poor gal. Sorry to hear that you ended up with a burst pipe. Yuck! Sure makes clean up a hassle without water. The rabbits turned out adorable, love how fresh the pillar holders turned out. Definitely spring on both of those projects. You nailed that urn! It looks just like concrete to me. Awesome job. Won't prattle on today since you have a lot of challenges ahead. Really hope your week does a huge upswing. Almost anything will be better. Keeping my fingers crossed you don't get the amount of snow predicted and the rest of your pipes behave.
Having no water is definitely not a good situation when you have brushes to clean! :) Even just having no hot water is pretty stinky!! I am just glad everything is all fixed now!! I'm glad you liked my projects - that urn was fun . . . almost therapeutic, haha. Thank you!!
I liked all the projects. The rabbits look wonderful with the wax on them. I need some bunnies. Like the color of the candle sticks and yes the urn does look like concrete. Great job😊. Stay warm
I'm not choosing a favorite. I don't think I can ever have too many candle holders. I just love them. Rabbits are always good. They're so adorable. The urn is gorgeous. It is truly amazing. Ive been looking for one and this is the look I plan for mine. It was a tremendous blessing that you were there on Monday Rachel. I'm really glad you didn't end up with a flood. God is good . Freezing pipes are never fun. We are dropping tonight to -10 and idk what the wind chill will be. It's the lowest for the year. We have lots of snow and more coming.
Lol - I'm glad you liked all three of my projects. :) Thank you!! And I feel so blessed that I was here to stop a potential flood of my entire shop - I definitely sent up a couple thank you prayers for that!! :) Hopefully you are doing okay with your weather - we finally got snow - around 10 inches or so - and I got to spend the bulk of my day Wednesday shoveling, haha.
For today all looked wonderful. I am so sorry for all the trouble that you're having with the cold weather up there, but I hope everything gets resolved without too much expense. Best wishes to your beautiful store, I hope you give us a tour when you change everything up for spring😊
Thank you so much!! And things are finally improving weather wise thank goodness - the leaks have all been resolved, so I can breathe again!! :) I will try to get a tour in for Spring!
I enjoyed all of your projects today. Thanks for taking your day off to come in to have them done for us. I am so sorry you had the trouble with your pipes and water❣️
Sorry you are dealing with pipe problems. In Alabama it is unusual for us to have 2 degree weather, but that’s what we are currently having. Seems like most states are dealing with the Arctic Blast this winter! I enjoyed your projects tonight, but the urn was my favorite. It does look like cement!
Thankfully things have improved much over the past couple of days! I hope you're weather gets better soon as well!! :) I'm glad you liked the projects - thank you so much!!
So glad you were at the shop when the pipe burst. We had a frozen pipe yesterday, but it thawed out enough to work. Love the urn, it does look like concrete! The bunnies are adorable and the color of the pillars is so spring! Happy week! 🤗
Thank you so much!! I was so lucky to have been here when the leak happened - I can only imagine what it would have looked like had the water run all night in here . . . what a nightmare that would have been!! I'm glad yours thawed with no issues!! :)
*Oh, Rachel, having a burst pipe is awful...so sorry 😞 to learn that happened at your Cottage Shop‼️ So fortunate you went to the Shop on Monday; it could have been so much worse. 😉 😦 Thanks for doing your video projects for us - even though you were dealing with an unexpected and undesirable burst pipe and COLD 🥶 TEMPERATURES.... BRRR...UGH‼️🙉💦🚰* *My favorite is the urn - it is so authentic looking now. My only suggestion would be to paint those cute bunny's eyes 👀 a soft chocolate brown and put a white dot in each eye as a reflection so they look more life-like. 🙂🐇🐰*
You're right - it could have been so much worse - I was so thankful that I was here!! :) I am glad you liked the urn - it was a fun piece to do! And any time I have tried adding detail back to eyes, the end result is a creature that looks possessed, haha! :) Thank you so much - "see" you later!! :)
Loved the bunnies! I have a whole boot box of vintage ones I picked up at an estate sale last summer. I re-saled the name brand ones and had planned to restyle the rest somehow. This looks adorable! Also, down here in Florida, our power goes out with storms. I'm able to keep working by having a 5-gallon water bottle with a rechargeable pump from Amazon. I'm able to wash my hands and items for acouple days at least. The pump just sits atop the jug and a little tube goes down in it. Press the botton and theres a little spout it comes out automatically. Just thought I'd share because it kept my projects going. Have a beautiful day! ⛄️ 🌴 🌞
I'm glad you liked the bunnies!! I love looking for them when I'm out thrifting!! :) And that's a great idea for the water - I will have to look in to that! Thank you so much!!
I'm glad you liked them!! :) Thank you!! And I will try to remember to share some tips! :) (Mineral spirits is how I clean my brushes, btw - and I use a soft brush with natural bristles for most of my waxing. And honestly, I store my brushes in about a half inch of mineral spirits . . . )
I'm glad you liked them! Thank you!! And for a brush I would recommend a natural fiber brush made for waxing furniture. I think I got mine from Amazon years ago - it's brand is Infiniti. And I use the DIY waxes. I usually add whatever products I use to the video's description box if you're ever looking for them. :)
Yes, you can paint over wax. Just make sure the wax isn't sticky or tacky at all, and you might want to wait 24 hours to let it dry a bit before you paint over it. :)
Well I'm so glad you found me - thanks for subscribing!! :) And the waxes I use are by DIY. They are available on my website at www.theeclecticcottagespokane.com. They are solid - not hard - but solid. :) I hope that helps!! :)
I'm not sure what you mean? I don't currently sell my decor items online, though, if that's what you're inquiring about.....and I normally don't price them until after the video is up on TH-cam. :)
Loved all of your projects today. Beautiful.
Thank you so much!
I'm amazed you did your projects with frozen pipes. I leave a thin stream of water running at night which helps avoid that. Thanks for all you do!
Ah, my projects helped keep my mind off of the pipe situation, lol.
I liked everything did. Thank you
You’re so welcome! Thank you! 😊
I'm excited to find your channel as I live about 5 minutes from your shop. When the weather is better I will stop by your shop. ❤
Lucky girl living close to this awesome shop and the owner seems so sweet.....
Please tell her hi for me. Haven't made it there from Yakima yet. 😢
Well I'm glad you found me, and I would love for you to come in and visit! :) Thank you!
The urn. You made it look ancient. And that's a wonderful thing.
I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you!!
Love those bunnies. What a transformation ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow for the urn, Rachel. This is the most successful faux concrete technique I saw in a long time of watching videos.
Well I will take that as a huge compliment! :) Thank you!!
Great flips, Rachel. The urn looks authentic... it looks like it's been sitting in the garden for years!
Awe - I'm so glad you liked it!! :) Thank you!!
Big fan of bunnies of course. Great work, beautiful ❤😊
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much!!
Can’t pick a favorite, like them all.
Awesome! Thank you! :)
I can’t believe you did projects with a broken pipe problem. Great projects. I love rabbits.
Lol . . . at least they helped keep my mind off of things! :) Glad you liked them! Thank you!
My favorite is the urn!! Love the look. Spring is right around the corner too! TFS.😊❤
I'm glad you liked it! Thank you!
Bunnies are my favorite, but I like them all.
I'm glad! Thank you!
I love watching you. Your style is a lot like mine I wish I had a boutique. They are great but I love that urn good luck with the water.
Thank you so much!! :)
I love it all. Apothecary is so pretty. The bunnies, love! You did a great job on the urn, I could just see myself pouncing for days. haha
Lol - it's hard to stop pouncing once you start! Occupational hazard I suppose, haha!! I'm glad you liked everything - thank you!! :)
Love the urn. It does look like concrete. Thanks for sharing
You are so welcome! Glad you liked it! Thank you!
I'm so sorry that you're going through those challenges!!! You are so creative, everything turned out beautifully
Awe - I appreciate that! Thank you so much. :)

Praying for you during your temps that are so miserable. We just went through that here and our heat bill is really glad it is in the teens now. LOL

They all turned out great!
Thank you!
Loved them all!
Yay! Thank you!
Love the bunnies! Great tip about mineral spirits. Would you share tips about choosing brushes for waxing, and how you store and clean them?
I'm glad you liked them!! :) Thank you!! And I will try to remember to share some tips! :) (Mineral spirits is how I clean my brushes, btw - and I use a soft brush with natural bristles for most of my waxing. And honestly, I store my brushes in about a half inch of mineral spirits . . . )
I have never heard of Spokane until your channel and I recently saw a movie that was set in your fair city....I thought of you!
Awe! :) Which movie??
@theeclecticcottagespokane oh I'll have to remember and get back to you...we had a holiday and freezing weather so I saw a few...lol

I'm glad you liked them! Thank you!! :)
Lovely projects!!! What is a good “ soft bristle” brush for waxing? What clear wax do you use?
I'm glad you liked them! Thank you!! And for a brush I would recommend a natural fiber brush made for waxing furniture. I think I got mine from Amazon years ago - it's brand is Infiniti. And I use the DIY waxes. I usually add whatever products I use to the video's description box if you're ever looking for them. :)

:)
Sorry to hear about your pipe issue. I don't like when life gets in the way of crafting 😅
I know!! lol - thank you!! :)
Hi Rachel, I just love the bunnies!! I have a question about wax can it be painted over with chalk paint? Thanks so much!!
Yes, you can paint over wax. Just make sure the wax isn't sticky or tacky at all, and you might want to wait 24 hours to let it dry a bit before you paint over it. :)
Thank you so much !!
Would you share a tip about the wax… name of product or where I could buy it? Is it solid? Just found you! An subscribed!❤
Well I'm so glad you found me - thanks for subscribing!! :) And the waxes I use are by DIY. They are available on my website at www.theeclecticcottagespokane.com. They are solid - not hard - but solid. :) I hope that helps!! :)
How do you find just the prices of things?
I'm not sure what you mean? I don't currently sell my decor items online, though, if that's what you're inquiring about.....and I normally don't price them until after the video is up on TH-cam. :)
Was the first coat on bunnies primer ?
No......just two coats of the Crinoline. :)
Thanks for replying ! I love your work!
The urn
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
