Mushrooms…all things old become new again! Like clothing being popular, old and reinvented into popularity again. I like mushrooms in decor, always have but time will tell if enough folks latch on to them. The rolling pins certainly lend to displaying them and I think far prettier than throwing a bunch in a crock in a corner or in a wine rack. I think my absolute favorite remake was the fork and spoon. I remember for years homes had those massive pieces or a ladle hung in their kitchens but your scaled down size were just so perfect treasures for any kitchen or dining room. A new wall sounds intriguing but a junk run…now that will be worth tuning in for too. Rachel…you NEVER disappoint with your content and I love every visit. Thanks for enlightening and entertaining us with your gift for remaking old treasures to become new collectibles!!!:):):)

So difficult to choose just one favorite, I loved the rolling pins and what you did to decorate them, and then the cutting boards! How beautiful! The spoon/fork was a breath of spring and renewal! Great job Rachel, using up what you already have. That makes good business cents $$. If I were you I'd continue with it through February. Specially through the leaner months. Save up for Spring garage sales. Just my little old opinion . Really enjoyed the video.

Rachel, 9 rolling pins, no judgement. I have 4 sewing machines. (no, not going to flip those, hehe) Loved the remake on the rolling pins. Never thought of doing deco podge on the center of the pin. I am going to have to find some rolling pins. See, you inspire people with just about everything you do. Cudos to you. The cutting boards turned out wonderful. Ahhh, the fork and spoon. Ours were about 3 1/2' long. Glad yours weren't as big. Love the smaller size. My favorite of the day was the rolling pin with Inspire and the 2 butterflies. Before I forget, you have the most calming music in your videos. Every time I start one of your videos I just feel my whole body relax because of the music. Thank You for your great selections. A Junk Run??? Yippee!!! LOL You have done an incredible job cleaning out your stash. I was really hoping to see you flip the fireplace screen. Now it is something I can still look forward to. Oh the anticipation of it all. Have yourself a great weekend and can't wait to see the new divider wall and what, if anything you found on a junk run. Can't wait to see you on Tuesday!
Lol - Yes 9 rolling pins, but after reading a lot of the comments, apparently 9 really isn't that many, haha! I loved doing the cutting boards - it was fun to use up some pieces of a few transfers that I was afraid were going to end up ruined if I didn't do something with them. :) I'm glad you like my music - it took me a bit of searching to come up with music that I actually liked and thought fit . And I will get to the fireplace screen one of these days, lol. I keep forgetting to have my husband run by Home Depot to get some backer board cut for it! :)

I love love rolling pins to the point where I had to force myself to stop buying them. I love cutting boards and although I have lots of them no promises to stop. AND I love wooden utensils. I mod podged two rolling pins one with sunflowers for my everyday decor and the other with snowflakes for Christmas and I love decorating cutting boards... so needless to say I really enjoyed this video! Great job!

Hi Rachel, OH! Those darn leftover pieces of transfers, lol . I love when I can use a bunch up. Those cutting boards are so cute. Iam always looking for wood fork and spoon or knife sets like those. Sweet of your daughter to remember and pick them up for you. Does she like to thrift and craft like her momma?
I was so happy to use up some of the leftover bits of transfers - my cat had actually knocked some of them on the floor (they were sitting where they shouldn't have been, lol) and I was tired of worrying about them getting wrecked. I'm glad you liked them - thank you! :) And my daughter loves to thrift when she can - her two boys aren't exactly fans, though so she doesn't get to go often, lol.

In all honesty I really don't sell many of the rolling pins. I just had a bunch that were sitting around and wanted to get them out of my stash, so I went ahead and finished them, lol. Same with the cutting boards, although I do sell more of those than I do the rolling pins . . . :)
These projects are so pretty and simple. Do you seal your paint before putting on the transfers?

Thanks for the rolling pin tips! So far I have yet to sell one. How do you display these in your shop, usually. I have mine together in a flat basket.but they just sit.
I honestly don't sell a ton of rolling pins. I bought a lot of these because I saw other creators doing them and I got all excited about them, haha. I have most of mine displayed in a wine rack. And now I could really use a second one, lol.
Rachel, beautiful projects. One question (I’m new at this), did you seal the DIY pant before applying the decoupage papers on the rolling pins? I really loved the cutting board with the purple😊
I'm glad you liked everything! Thank you!! :) And for your question - it really depends on what type of material I am decoupaging, and the amount of time it will take me to get the paper down. I will seal my paint first if I think I am going to be working with the medium long enough to reactivate my paint if that makes sense?
I really wish Rachel you would add Blue in your DIY, I love Blues, but obviously everyone loves the ugly Greens, I absolutely hate green

Rachel, can the rolling pins be used after you paint them and put on the designs?
They are definitely decor pieces once I have redone them - except for the one I only painted the handle on, of course. :)

I have a shop - The Eclectic Cottage - as well as two booths. :) I have 12.99 most of the rolling pins I think . . . not sure about the others, though! :)
Rachel- My favorites this time are the green handled floral rolling pins. . And the smallest brown handled rolling pin [with florals 💐on it.] The mushroom🍄 cutting board has a great retro 1970's vibe. Once again -Beautiful work!🤗
