I worked Peacemaker Festival in Ft. Smith, AR last summer not knowing who he was. We stood backstage a talked about being on the road, ex-wives, kids and whatnot for about 45 minutes when he introduced himself and said it was damn nice to meet you I'm on next. I was totally impressed with him as a person and now as a songwriter.
I saw him a few months ago in Pioneer Town in Riverside County Ca. The Band of Heathens played as well. The Band of Heathens was his backup band. What a hell of a backup band!!!the Heathens are really a great band but to play behind Hayes was amazing.
Capo on 2. Adjusted chords are A and D but you’re basically playing G shape with pinky on high e and middle two fingers on top string and a C shape. Then occasionally hammer on b and D strings with pointer and middle finger. Play a c shape for the D chord and you’re there.
@@mm9778Dude has no clue Tom Waits wrote a song, with the same title, 47 years ago. He didn't even bother googling it; he just announced his ignorance like I was the dumbass...after he "read" my original comment. $50 says he thinks Johnny Cash wrote the song "A Boy Named Sue".
One of the greatest unsung country artists out there. To damn good for Nashville.

this is a song from a Canadian dude. Scott Nolan. Still great song, though.
My Hero. One of the kindest folks I've met in music.

Just shut up and play yer guitar.
great day
This is a terrible cover of the Tom Waits song...but a wonderful rendition of an original song.
Agree, completely. Tom Waits was a terrific vocalist. Better even than, if I dare say, Ray Wylie Hubbard.
this is a scott nolan song
@@rickneufeld3068It's bad enough that you can't read; we were all hoping you, at least, had a sense of humor. Thanks for disappointing us, yet again.
