I grew up in Spokane! So surreal seeing it on TH-cam, haven't been there in forever. I've lived in China for years now, this really makes me miss home. Subscribed!
As a lifelong resident of California, what impressed me is the lack of graffiti in Spokane as shown in this video. That alone tells me that the quality of life is very high in Spokane. That lack of graffiti is just a clue about what life in Spokane is all about, and if you're clever enough it will help you figure it out. ... jkulik919@gmail.com
Very interesting walk, i grew up on Riverside between Division & Browne and to see the changes in that part of downtown is very interesting, you walked right past the Saranac Hotel which was owned by my Auntie.
My brothers family just moved to Spokane from Ukraine. Thanks for the tour helps me to know more about the city they moved in. Looks like a lovely place. I feel safe knowing where they ended up at. 🙏
Just a block and a half north across the intersection at the 27:41 mark and you would have been treated to a spectacular views of the Monroe st bridge and the river gorge and falls that Would have been sweet for your cast ...nice video nonetheless .
It's pretty rainy today. We went out to see some stone circles and a castle (showed up too late for that one) that will be on our TravelingMel channel soon. The Kilt idea really made me smile and I might get banned from the country if I tried the bagpipes, but who knows. Thanks for making my day with that one. -Henry
@@CityWalks Can't wait to see it on TravelingMel :D Glad to know you are smiling :) The stone circles are one of the world's greatest mystery. Who built it? Why? They are pretty much as mysterious as the pyramids of Egypt. BTW would you be planning to visit Egpyt?
It was actually done before Quarantine early on a summer sunday morning. It was the only time I could do it. I'd love to get back and film it with more people some day. Thanks for watching Spacey. -H
GUNNER Travel and Event At least it was warm. Or warm compared to Montana. In the summer I think it is generally very sunny and warm but that doesn’t start until next month. Thanks for the comment! -Henry
Wow, very empty. Was this early on a Sunday morning? I know Spokane is absolutely not a walkable city, but the downtown touristy area is usually bustling (Edit: I just scrolled back up and read the description, yep! Everybody is hungover or in church on sundays, normally it's much more full of life lol)
Beautiful. So clean and green. Seems like a crisp day. But where is the traffic? Looks like the most quite city I've ever seen. (Not that I love traffic of course)
@@CityWalks let’s hope you knew at that time, a person did not walk around downtown since the murder rate was high from what it used to be. You also would step on a homeless person sleeping in a doorway.
Hi Scout, yeah, this was early Sunday morning. We were just passing through and it's when I could do the walk. I'm hoping to get back and do a walk on a weekend evening. -H

Cool. And thanks. Yes, I can only imagine the crowds in China. -H

So interesting. I haven't watched that. I'll have to add it to my list of TV shows to watch. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Henry

The best time to be in Spokane is snow time! Lots of it. But you have to go camping...unforgettable
Thanks. It was definitely a slow morning when I walked. I'd love to come and spend more than a half day. -H

Hello my friend thank you for sharing your video
Happy to and glad you enjoyed it enough to leave a comment. Thanks so much and enjoying your channel as well. -Henry
If the city allowed for more lofts to be built by developers, there would be less vacant commercial space and a little more active on the streets.
Yes, cities can have antiquated zoning. Seems like more residential downtown would be an obvious help. Thanks for watching. - Henry
It's a great travel 😊
IlWe will make another videos not only about Moscow too 😊
Thank You for this videos 😊
GoodWalkers great to hear. I look forward to watching!😀👍🏻👋 -Henry
Beautiful video i love spokan😃
Thank you 🤗 -H
Is it really like there's only few people walking around in the middle of downtown? The city is nice! I remember your walk in Billings Montana.
No, this was pre-pandemic, early on a Sunday morning. It's usually much busier than this. -H
How is rainy Scotland? Are you going to let us see you wear Scotland kilt and play the bagpipe?

This had to have been during Quarantine, cause its never that empty, even on the weekends.

Are the streets always that deserted? Just found out I'm moving there but the video was a little depressing for me.
Philip Campbell take heart, this was early Sunday morning. Much busier and vibrant during the week. -Henry
Thanks good to know
Most metropolitan downtowns look like this on Sunday mornings. Even downtown Houston looks like this on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
LITTLE NELL S RECORD SHOPPE still in xistenz ? Was in 88 🇫🇮
Great question. Not sure. -H
very nice, too bad the weather looks a little bit clowdy

On the news tonight for Spokane….All libraries shut down due to vicious attacks. You didn’t cover that on your walk.
Well, to be fair, this was recorded in 2019, sooo……not sure how I could have known. Sorry to hear about any violence. -H
