OK So say this Boy started at 16 yrs old ..Now we all know YOU AIN'T GETTING NO CDL at 16 I don't give a rat fuck who your Grandpa was . And say He was all set up with Shops already set up running left to him by "his Grandpa" . That would mean he purchased 2 a year every yr for 15 yrs . and he didn't spend a dime on much else .. Or maybe he used Dumbledore's magic wand .. And NO NO real trucker who works his truck everyday is doing a whole bunch of work sporten a 270 inch COE.. and for all I know personally I could NOT find a single trucker who said they would want too... So Yea your show trucks are swell ..
Those who prefer Detroit's don't have a clue about diesel engines, just ask them what it is they like about Detroit's, and 9 out of 10 will say, "I like how they sound", now let that level of stupidity soak-in for a bit, lol.
a guy in my area in oregon drives a creme & red 389 pete and he hauls doug fir, i hardly ever see custom trucks but there mean id like to have a stretched kenworth and paint it like a gold nugget if there isnt one for sale
Awesome trucks! Thank you for trucking all the products America needs! I grew up under 18 wheelers at my parents truck repair shop. I respect and look out for all the truck drivers on the road! Take and God bless you!❤️🇺🇸
modify the exhaust and put bell cups like k100 kenworth in australia do , with exhaust fixed to cab , then you can do away with the clamps and just lift the cab and lower it back on to the bell cup seats and the just slip in like a ball joint socket, love ya Peterbilt truck
Some are indeed lucky. I got my boss as an inspiration. Long story short, he started as a company driver at age 25, spoke almost no English at the time and only had funds to get his CDL and for rent. Now he's a company owner at age 35. Thirty or so owner operators, four trucks (3 of which are new), new reefer trailers, and currently has two drivers. Soon to have two more. Dispatchers, he's got 4 I think. Lastly, he owns an apartment building, a brand new house, and three fancy brand new cars. Fancy as in, an S-Class AMG, a C-Class AMG, and an A8. Soooo yaaa... With trucking and a strong mindset, virtually anyone can get rich.
I love hauling 80,000 pounds nothing like it in the world. Few people hat the privilege. I even drive a day cab for Costco, they don’t mess around. During the pandemic we were hauling no need thousand pounds with the permit. Heavy in California.
@Gearjammer i still prefer a Kenworth over a Peterbuilt any day... never cared for the aluminum grill surround on a Peterbuilt, or the J style headlight brackets.
If anyone sees this from FS community, we need MORE trucks and trailers like this! And more paint jobs and details like the way these stripes are on the truck, it looks amazing!
@@stevewilson6390 Longer looks better but i dont think it is that more difficult Just zero turn the trailer and jack knife it if you need to Besides those massive sleepers might be longer
I have a question @The Asian Mai show, which may sound stupid to you guys in the states but here in Australia, as a 30 year veteran driver, why oh why do people in the states extend their chassis so much. I used to think that it was to fit/or had a massive sleeper on the back, but then I see a teal coloured semi in the background @2:34 with a huge sleeper also with a stretched chassis. Could someone please explain to me the fascination. Here in Australia we have maximum length limits for trucks which is really a shame because I would love nothing more than to be able to do a long haul from Brisbane to Perth via Sydney, melbourne and Adelaide some 5,600 km/3,480 miles rocking an 80 inch sleeper on a KW 909
They extend them for a better ride and the cool factor, I believe their length laws only applies to trailers not the overall unit, I’m from Australia too so this is just what I’ve gathered
The stretch frames in the states is generally done for the style, similar to the classic/muscle car. Same with lowering trucks, lots of chrome, big stacks, and full fenders. The length helps with ride quality also but for the most part they look amazing rolling down the road. Also us Americans cant help our selves and have to customize anything and everything.
If only I could get my hands on a cab over I’d be in heaven, I’ve driven the snub nose, big hood, yet to run a long nose and a cab over but I’ll be damned if I leave trucking before I drive the latter two, beautifull trucks
I always wanted my son to drive truck like me , he learned but did not like it. He does tile work and is very good. My dauther, his older sister, is a school bus driver over 20 years!
I'm still confused with the long wheel base cabovers, we are still big on cabovers in Australia but never do I see this here in a Prime Mover ( tractor) application, even back when we had a 50mph speed limit guys would run a roof air foil to get air up over trailer, the wind drag on these LWB must be horrendous?
Yep , I can see how practical this baby would be ! ( specially in a tight dock on a cold , dark rainy night , not to mention trying to find a parking spot at the pilot ) !!!! My first several company trucks were cabovers ( thank God they're pretty much all gone now ) I'd just LOVE to see the look on the D. O.T. Officer's face at the chicken coop when He/She sees that rig roll in !!$$??
The wheelbase is 270 most 389 peterbilts and newer W900s have that same wheelbase or longer you have to remember they dont have a long ass hood or a 72 inch peterbilt sleeper or a 86 inch studio sleeper on it like w900s and most of the walmarts ive been to have plenty of room to back in

What’s your take on the Tesla semi trucks? Is the investment worth it? We know those trucks will cost north of 180k.
Hope you're home every night.

@@jerryb1234 detroits are cheap to maintain tho and really good on fuel. But are kinda powerless
Man that’s a nice retro look. Every time I see those old Cab Overs it makes me think of BJ & The Bear and Sheriff Lobo… ☺️
man, this makes me long for the days as a kid playing with my ertl tractor trailer toys
I love this setup beautiful cabover pete.
When I started driving the early 90's you couldn't hardly give away cabovers. Now they are so expensive it's just crazy.
That is one Bad Ass CABOVER👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
There’s a guy around Nashville with a bad ass 362 pulling a stainless tanker. Looks awesome retro!!! Similar paint scheme.

I have a special place in my mind and spirit for these 362 cabovers, this one is 🔥!
Sound is Bootiful! [UK]
saw the title and i knew he was born into this position...some people are lucky
Same here
You can get it. Luck has nothing to do with it. Start with 1 truck. Go from there
Wouldn’t it be nice to work so hard that one day that someone can call your kids lucky cause they’re benefiting off your hard work?
Then never start if you think you’ll never get far… or get to hustlin’ I’m getting up early tomorrow like I do 5 days a week.

Beautiful Truck , I have a real nice 78 352 complete with a spread axle reefer trailey with matching paint
There’s 2 362’s in California with C-16s. Both truck and trailer hay trucks and both are part of the last batch of 362’s built
Holy crap, i didnt know they only stopped making these in 2005
i also expected that thing to be older it just looks so old compared to euro trucks that are also cabover
I’ve never seen the inside of a cab over, and that gear shifter just made me cry laugh !!! I gotta try to drive one of these
That truck is absolutely dream Machine
That's one of the badass Pete's on the road today hell yeah 👍👍👍😅

The back of this cab almost looks like the lunar lander. Its hard to un-see it after you do see it! Need some windshield wipers back there too! 👍😁
Absolutely magnificent 👌 Cabover!

Nice 👌 truck and trailer.
Your creative potential seems limitless.
I love how we kept most of its stock
Really nice ride.
Bad ass ride !!!!
very sharp ! love the stretch
Why would you have a stretch this long ? Surely it makes it more difficult getting in to certain distribution depots .
