Get ready for some serious transformation in the latest episode of the BodeVision Body Swap Series! In this installment, I'm tearing down the iconic El Camino to its raw shell, laying the groundwork for our epic AWD Honda-powered creation. Join me as I dive deep into the guts of the El Camino, ripping out every last component and cutting through the floor to prepare the body for separation from the frame. Watch as I demonstrate the meticulous process of creating precision cuts to seamlessly butt round tubes together, a technique borrowed from roll cage construction, to reinforce the body for its new adventure. After painstaking effort, we finally succeed in lifting the El Camino body off the frame, setting the stage for the next phase of our build. And stay tuned until the end, where I conquer the final challenge of removing the bed floor, leaving us with nothing but the bare El Camino body, primed and ready to meet its new partner: the AWD Honda CRV chassis. This is automotive innovation at its boldest, and I know it's bound to stir up some strong opinions. So, whether you're cheering me on or shaking your head in disbelief, don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to BodeVision for more wild rides!
El Hondito!! I'm here for it!
Ballllerrrr
My uncle burned his elco.gonna be cool as usual 🔥
The tube cutting thing you taught, I’ll remember for ever. No need for fancy tube cutting equipment.
100%! This is actually just as efficient as setting up a tube notcher, if not a little faster. 2 cuts and some cleaning
for anyone that wants to look back on this like me, its around 14:38
This is a weird build but I'm totally here for it. Shit I thought the Accord was crazy when you started on it and here we are.
El chapó!!!!!! This guy don’t get the enough credit he deserves!!! Like come on, he is doing all these builds by himself, yeah his dad helps from time to time but come on! He basically doing it by himself!
I love this. You can even get a almost 50/50 weight balance by putting battery and radiator behind the driver and between the rear tire area in the bed. And still have the majority of the bed to haul stuff if needed.
The Hell-camino
Hondamino!!! Keep up the great content!
Honda + El Camino = The Honco
That's what I commented on the first video 😆
Brother today I learned something new how to cut pipes, thanks for that info 🙏
No problem 👍
El Camonda!
Excited for this build! Just bought a spot in the raffle!
EL'ONDO is gonna be so cool
I just realized that you are giving the El Camino an by 30 HP with this swap. 1980 El Camino is about 115 HP and the 200 CRV is 145. WOW!
CRveza!💪🏼💪🏼
Adam! You are highly skilled and have one of my favorite channels on TH-cam! Keep up the good work bro!
This build has cool written all over it.
Love that accord. It sounds as good as it looks! Thanks for the cool merch
I like how you are doing the work and explaining everything.
Sick Man, This is what TH-cam is all about!
Daaaang, I can't believe you're giving away the LS swapped Accord. That was a sick build to watch, and it's an awesome result.
I really hope you get something to SEMA one day! Your builds are awesome! Love the channel!
Our boy Bode knocking it out!!!! Working fast my man! This is gonna be another sick build!
Dude that music is like a chipmunk on a acid trip😂
random video of a odd ball car build showing up on my feed? of course i am going to subscribe to see how badly awesome this is going to be!
This is going to be an interesting build, and, really unconventional!
Going to be great. Can’t wait to see more progress
Hey you should name the project hondamino that is a fitting name great idea that I don't think anyone else has ever attempted. So keep up the good work and God bless.
El-Hondo, looking gooood!
Can't wait for the next video man it's gonna be a crazy build
WHAT ???....liking what I see another crazy build...😆👍
I always say my Ridgeline is the 4DR El Camino GM never quite got to ... great work, interested to see your approach to the unibody.
Love Honda, the world is putting Honda over and under everything. Beast
Just got this series recommended to me and now I'm hooked lol. Can't wait for the next one
Looking forward to more on this biuld!!
Next show I’m ready
Bro!! I love ALL your intro!!
Damn dude, crazy progress. This build is gonna be insane 😎
Good for you brother. Keep moving forward.
Amazing work bro! Keep up the genius 🍻
Great progress! El Chopo went on a serious diet.
If you get some thinner cutting disc for the grinder. It will cut tubes like butter. Try some disc with 0,8 mm thickness.
El Camions are some of my favorite vehicles and I’ve always been down for customs of all kinds. Keep up the coolness brother!
We cut out my friend’s El Co low rider’s back wall to build a speaker wall. We made a hoop that mimicked the back wall braced it to the frame through the floor and bed floor. It was shaped like an old school roll bar. But in the end it was all covered by speakers.
Wowwwwwwww let Th chopping begin 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽God Bless 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Doing stuff with the same tools most people have at home, no fancy expensive tools.👍
Such great progress already on this project! The Hondel Camino is well on its way to becoming a reality. It's apparent you have definitely done this before. 👨🔧
Moving forward, I would switch to healthy tacks for the bracing that is getting cut out. That sheet metal is not trying to move that much, those welds half way around the braces will annoy you on removal more than cutting a couple strong tacks. Just my 2 cents to hopefully help, you're getting along fine without it lol.
looks really good so far❤❤
El Crvito is gonna be wild!
Yea, it's a good day when Uncle shows up in his chopsided elco.
Great progess, once again! I'm loving how this is going, although I'm curious if adjusting the distance between the wheelwells to fit the CRV wheel base is not going to look a bit funky. You're saying you won't really notice, but it could be that the lines, the model of the El Camino is really different ... I'm sure you'll do a great job and you'll make it look good, but I'm curious how that's going to unfold. But I'm sticking to the name "El CRVino"... 🤣
I've had an AWD Honda powered El Camino for 4 years now. It's called a Ridgeline.
Well this thing is off to an insane start. So pumped on this
I really like the way u serve your content u da man
Why not fab up the door braces where it able to be bolted on where the door hinges are and then where the doors striker is so you on have to worry about if it might push or pull on the rest of the body panel and it also saves you from having to weld onto the body possibly warping it and then having to grind an work the body where it was welded...
Just a thought for future use
Great video. Including the cleaning was a good choice. Nice pipe cutting info also.
Great tube cutting trick! Way cheaper than the tool they sell.
excited to see how this turns out. you do such great work will look amazing when it is done
You know what would be cool, hang a Grand National front clip on that G-Body.
Looking good Adam you certainly know what you are doing when it comes to this type of build, can't wait to see what you do next🙏👍John UK
Cool build
Great progress Adam! Thanks for sharing! Have a good one, Dutch regards Nico.
Awsome progress.
Thanks for watching!
That’s what I like as project… Keep going buddy 😊
EPIC
I think first gen crv suspension matches the integera suspension.Might wanna look into that.
Amazing! Great serie! Can't wait for the next video!
This is so strange and I'm here for it! Letttttttssssss gooooooo!
Clearance is clearance Clarence
The only body swapping that should be allowed TH-cam channel welcome to @bodievision 😂😂
Great video always learning something 👌👌
just thought of a name : EL COHONES
if you only cut straight fishmouths it might be usefull to have a piece of pipe that can slide over the piece youre cutting that has a perfect fishmouth shaped on it
that way you slide the bigger piece over the pipe line it up with youre markes and draw the fishmout on using the edge of the big pipe as a guide , should get you closer to the perfect shape a lot faster . can do that with different angles too but it would increase the amount of stubbies with fishmouths you need though you could do a 90 degree on one end and the 45 degree on the other end of the stub
with the sideways or two angle slant youre still have to do it by hand i guess
as for balancing the el camino body while suspended , you could trow a ratchet strap over the center of the crane wrap it around sumting on the back of the body and use the ratchet to lift it , should be good enough for wat youre doing
mightve done the bedfloor different , not sure about how mush innerstructure is between the inner and outer skin aspecially in between the outer and inner fender but i think i wouldve cut it all around in one line just under the top of the bed a little above the inner fender along the "firewall"underneath the window and then down and across the floor near the tailgate
that wouldve created a giant hole there the crv would fit intoo and allow you to raise the floor while keeping the inner fenders intact by wittling away at the cutline inside the bed on the piece you cut out allso allows you to get the innerfenders to where they need to be by cutting them out off center and switching left to right and vice versa , think the fenders and the floor around them are simetric so they should be flipable
El Huandino...by the way the accord has my name all over it! Just incase you were wondering lol
great work
The Chevy El Kamino (AWD) 👏🏽🔥
Cool project! ❤️😎
Good job Adam!
Man can't wait to see it over the honda... keep up the great work shout out to you from Mexico 🇲🇽 buddy
El Hondo Is my favorite so far Good job and great picks between the two cars, like to know your thought process that got you to the two cars was just money?
Someone send this man a stand up dust pan
Bro just taught me how to make roll cages
El Hondamino!
Making headway !
El c’mon-da!
This should be call the EL HondaMEANo or hondameano for short. 🤘✌🤘✌🤘
Drill press and 2” hole saw will yield you the same/better result in less time. But this is temp so it doesn’t matter I suppose… 😂 nice work man!!!
Such a cool build
cant wait to see the next one lets go
Á' El Condamino🤔 thats a curious design.
i am from the over side of the pond and love El caminos but seen to many become show cars yes i get it but this variant your building is going to have useful put back in it as for the wight people are a bit blind if you get blown shocks in the hatch of the Honda or any thing like it the hatch is super hard to lift so not having one sort of tells you wight is shed lol you get what i mean
For real man time to flex those paint skills. Love to see a wild lowrider style paintjob
Heck yes
EL HONDITO 🤘
Interesting build.
El camhando 😅.... na but fir resl , this gonna be rad af when done bro ... ya got a killer vision my brotha and I respect that ... peace and love Brody keep it rad stay safe and build on fam ... l8z and keep having fun bro 🤘🏽✌🏽
“Throw it on a time lapse “what builders say when the jobs gonna get messy and your gonna swear A lot…lol😂
Question when you chose these 2 cars for the body swap Did you taken to consideration the wheelbase Of each car Because one of them is a 116 inch Upwards to a 119 Inches depending on what year And the CRV has roughly A hundred and three Inch wheelbase.
Because I want to take a 88 Ford Mustang notchback Take the engine transmission Transfer case Out of a Wrangler from the 80s early 90s And make some custom body panels To make the Mustang look like A R32 skyline Because there's literally a .5 - 1.5 inch difference In the wheelbase and length and height roughly of those cars Same with the Sideto side lengths
Because quite possible you're either going to have to shorten the Camino Or lengthen the undercarriage frame Of the c r v And get a new Drive shaft for the rear end So you can make the Camino look stock size wise Or like I said you're gonna have to make it shorter For it to work in the long run
This thing is gonna be freaking epic just like the rest!!!
My uncle uses real fish mouths but they get stinky afrer a bit lol🪝
Love watching well thought out body swap videos.
Great idea btw!
Want that ls
El Hondino !!
Love the weight convo. That was also my first thought and then i went to google and checked the weight before i said something.
