Garfunkel's voice just soars. Love them both.
They clearly weren't getting along during this time period (just like right now) but once they start singing it doesn't matter. It's utterly genius.
The periods of time they've gotten along have been absolutely dwarfed by the periods of time when they were coldly distant or at each other's throats.
Interesting how people feel so entitled to diagnose their relationship without knowing either one of them. Please express your observations to your bathroom mirror. Allow us to enjoy their genius talents unencumbered by others amateur musings. Thank you.
With the vocal and arrangement differences from the original, there had to be at minimum a few hours of rehearsals. Give the level of professionalism of these guys, it was likely many hours. Hard to imagine getting through that with mutual animosity.

No it wasn’t. We had plenty of problems. But we were more thoughtful and cared more about each other.
We had problems, we still do. We also met amazing people on the road....and we still do, if we're willing to go out there .

So unfortunate that a friendship forged in their youth was destroyed by jealousy and greed.

I hate paul simon because who he is. Homeward bound sounds way better without garfunkle flat notes. It sounds silly when both sing together.
