Allan Clarke (The Hollies) born 5 April 1942

Here is another of my archive interviews with celebrities to mark their birthdays. April 5th is the birthday of lead singer and one of the founding members of The Hollies. He has had a number of worldwide hit singles with the group and is credited as co-writer on several of their best-known songs, including "On a Carousel", "Carrie Anne", "Jennifer Eccles" and "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
