Hi Allan...your band the Hollies, played the Memorial hall,Northwich 63/4? & my brother & myself got your autographs..you kindly invited us in to the sound check & we were gobsmacked..you also kindly, arranged for the doors on the side to be opened, for us to see the band!..it was unforgettable and remains in our memories forever..in fact it influenced us into playing in bands and I've done this 50+ plus years!..Thank you for the great memory, forever remembered ❤
The Hollies were part of my childhood and I loved them, great hits, but Long Tall Woman is a timeless classic that sounds just as good today as when it came out, brilliant band
I have queued this to watch later so if this is covered in the video- apologies upfront! What is quite incredible to me is that nobody has (SFAIK) properly remastered the Hollies hits and all we get of hits like "Bus Stop and "I cant Let Go" are esentially two or four track transcriptions - which reduce a lot of those very powerful hits to kit-form! It takes me about 30 seconds to do a stereo width reduction on those tracks to play them and they sound so much better than the 100% separation versions that get issued - but a professionally done remaster of all of them would be so welcome. Those tracks have all sold in their millions and they deserve the respect of a remaster.
Thank You for the interview Sandy, and Thank You to his son for getting him back into the studio in 2019 & recording "Resurgence" and Thank You to Allan & Graham for collaborating on the "I'll Never Forget". My fave solo set by Allan was and still is his "I Wasn't Born Yesterday" set. As a fan I met Allan twice, a thorough gentleman and nice guy.
I remember seeing the Hollies on Top of the Pops and thinking "Who is that singer?" The voice and the style wasn't like anyone else. The performance was so authoritative. Almost like "This is the way this is done." Blew me away. Thank you for the songs, the feelings, and the memories.
Thank you for your voice, the beautiful songs. Thanks for sharing your love story with us. Love is forever. My husband and I have been married for 54 years. Like you we have children and grandchildren.God bless you all.
Thank you for this! I (as a real Hollies fan before Allan left) bought his Album I’ll Never Forget. The number The Presence Of You gives me shivers, tears to my eyes, thrills me like no ever song has done. Thank you for this
Thankyou sandy for your amazing interview technique. So natural. I am a fan of The Hollies ofcourse. And he sounds a fantastic man. Thankyou so much Sandy. Brilliant , natural. Cheers, John (Australia)
A great interview and Allan is very candid. I have heard most of these stories many times before but the devil is in the detail and the nuance is what fans will pick up on.

Just listening to you Alan & one thing that strikes me is ! What a lovely person you are. I too was with my now Darling angel since we were 18 yrs & yes there’s a Big Hole in my heart & always will be . Love seeing you when you came to Burnley always there on the front row looking all starry eyed at you . 😂 Yes we’ve all got old together , best of all it’s just seeing you & doing these interviews & talking about your family & happy times & some that’s been trying too . Love to you & all your family . 😊 x
In the 60s you could see on the same bill normally the odeon cinemas the Hollies the small faces and Roy Orbison it was unbelievable groups who could really play and top singers,

I just lost my beloved husband of sixty six years of marriage, I’m so lost and miss him every second. I can’t believe he’s not here with me anymore, I’m heartbroken. He loved the Hollies too.
Pure love connect and bring us together as brothers and sisters. We are all indeed connected in many life times. This earth planet is our temporary home to learn and progress to become a better person; all scriptures and great people have revealed to us. The soul is the symptoms of life/consciousness; without the soul we called death of the body. The soul is the living force and eternal. Illness, diseases are pertaining to the physical body NOT the eternal immortal individual soul. Fire, water, weapon, suicide, euthanasia, diseases CANNOT kill the soul.
