No problem. The project settings are 12x18 inches 175 PPI 8 bit colour and white background! All those are just options when you set up a new project in photoshop :) Have fun creating!
I am going to have to watch this a lot more times to figure out everything that you did. But I am in awe of how it looked. Thank you so much for sharing your learning. Photoshop really intimidates me, and your tutorials usually make me feel a little less intimidated, though I am not so sure that this one does.
Definitely! With this extensive of a tutorial it can be easy to miss little steps. This tutorial is a little bit more "advanced" compared to some of my other ones. However, I assure you if you just take it in bite sized chunks, it won't feel as intimidating! Best of luck!
Fantastic tutorial mate. Speed is perfect. Also really good that you talk us through the tutorial rather than playing music. With other tutorials I tend to just follow blindly . With method it allows for more personal expression.Thank you Jeff
I wish I could add my practice image I just finished by watching your tutorial on here but I did find you on Instagram and tagged you! I had the day to follow you with your video and each step was more relaxed and fun than my normal intimidating fear. I had been trying to jump into composite work and been going a little crazy to make everything blend or match up. This was a brilliant way to boost my confidence back up and can't wait to try out more videos so I can apply them to my own. Thank you so much!!! You're an amazing instructor!
1:48 select the monkey with the building using the lasso tool or the poligonal lasso, right click in that selection, fill with content aware and you are done. It's much faster and brings better results in this case! Do the same in the part where you use the milky way pic at 7:46
Amazing tutorial! I'm a beginner and I'm shocked that I managed to create something like that, thanks to you! The video is well explained and makes the comlicated things less complicated. Thanks for sharing :)
Great work anyway, just followed your steps to come out with a composite photo with my own composition, will post it soon, but my friends figure out that mountain should have some shadows on the cloud.
THIS LOOKS SO MUCH DOPE!!! Please Make some tutorials on compositing with a good guide on perspective...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... !! The thing which I struggle a lot is finding appropriate stock photos with matching perspective to create composites....So please make some tutorials on it.🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
Heyy i have a problem with the gradient layer, how do i make it so that half of it is transparent? When i did it, the whole gradient layer was covered...
My document size for all of my images I plan to post on instagram are: 12x18 inches(or 5334 x 8001 Pixels) Instagram still crops some of the photo but I don't like to restrict my images to just instagram. I would rather create a larger document that works better for print and other uses outside of instagram, even if it means a bit of a crop!
Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm having a little issue with the gradients. I'm drawing the same, short line as you are with the gradient tool but no matter what I do it creates the gradient all the way from the bottom to the top so it covers the whole picture. How can I make the gradient stop at a certain point?
You probably don't have the right gradient selected. Make sure you go up to the top tool bar when your gradient tool is active, click the Gradient Editor(the left most box showing you the gradient you are using)and then make sure you have the "Foreground To Transparent" gradient selected. That way it will transition from your selected foreground colour to transparent. Hope that helps :D

awesome video❤...thanks for that..

You need to change to foreground to transparent gradient. Grab the gradient tool then click the gradient in the top tool bar to select a new one.
@@BrendanWilliamsTutorials yoo thanks a lot man, awesome video btw! It really helps :)

Ok this is weird.. I just created a new project and I am able to draw shorter gradients there but I'm still having the same issue within this project.
