I started a new character a few weeks ago and initially did nothing but daily challenges, hunting, and collecting herbs. With hunting and collecting herbs, you get awards to reset for both collecting and selling. It didn't take long at all to rest the selling herb award 10 times, which gave me 4 gold bars in total.
I remember how to grind on 'blood money' mission just to get 15 gold bars to buy the 'trader' role. Then blow up fish with dynamites. I did not know collecting herbs is easier than looking for school of fish to repawn to re-kill. and each dynamite cost 1$. For a beginner it hard to come.
@ScreamingReel500 yeah, you get .4 bars of gold for every 100 herbs you sell. Just pick the herbs around Valentine and then sell them there. You can reset the award 10 times. When hunting, I think the award is for 1000 animal parts, both collecting and selling. Again, each one can be reset 10 times.
I've had a few people I know get into RDO. I give them all the same advice. Sign up for 2 step verification - gets you 10 gold. Try to play with friends or join a community. This will allow you to help with deliveries and legendary bounties. When alone do a lot of hunting, reward completions, reset rewards, pick herbs and all can be done while waiting for time to run down in BM missions. First role I always recommend is collector. You can focus on Wand and Pentacle sets at first to complete relatively fast. Selling them earns you enough to get the shovel and metal detector. Now it's a free for all getting all the collectibles you want especially when solo. Also nice to enjoy the scenery while going on collector rides and learning the map. I save up a bunch of treasure maps and then go hunting every so often to gain quite a bit at once. Everything else can be done to give variety to the game.
@@DreamerYB Normally i say collector. Start off focusing on pentacles and swords and collect them all with the online map to guide you. Then you can cash them all on and buy shovel and metal detector. From there you can hunt for all the collectibles. That will earn a LOT of cash, especially if you are patient and wait to fill sets before turning in. For gold at first the best way is usually grinding BM missions and waiting out the timer for full payout. Right now though with bounty hunter you can earn quite a bit of gold in a short period. The cash will be better as well. Get prestige asap and grind the hell out of infamous bounties for the quickest gold. Then you will have more than enough to get collector role. With any luck that role might be next months special as well.
I’m a Rank 1000 and I still do stranger missions. But I’m trying to reset the award at least one time. Three years later and I’m still only 60% of the way there 😂
Moonshine by far. Set it up spend the time playing poker and fishing. Enjoy the scenery. Shoot my secondary character restarts everytime I hit lvl 100. I just enjoy the scenery and races. Depends on the size of the lobby but races i get between 8$ - 50+$. Ya gotta win though.

Great video as always. And again even though I'm high level so I know a lot of this info I know it's very useful for many beginners and also just useful to refresh our memories a bit for anyone needing to grind some cash in RDO.
The collector role gives the best amount of money overall and offcourse when it is double xp/money you can become too rich very easy. With too rich I am talking about 'having more money than needed' since there will be nothing to invest on after you got all you need and stuff you even do not need. Still love to be a millionair now in this game and with false hope I have maybe we ever can get a house and other properties or some. Or just extra stable slots so we can buy more horses.
Rockstar doesn’t have the slightest idea how to make a multiplayer game its only mindless meaningless grind thats get boring soo quick, they do their best to make the game even less enjoyable in online mode i hate it
I just got the bounty hunter and it’s so annoying and redundant, having to listen to and slowly follow Npc and deal with 50 enemy’s on horses while the bounty runs away or clunky movement makes me fall off the train or something then having to wait for 30 minutes to get max XP. It’s not that fun. Sucks because I feel like there’s so much potential with RDO. It’s so cool but game crashes, cheaters, and repetitive time waisting missions make it rough for low levels. I’m at level 26 and 6 bounty
Yk u can just so Etta doyal u don’t get shoot at amd it’s the easiest bounty while it’s double money u can make 400 dollars in just 30 minutes 225 regular in 30 minutes if ur waiting and want the max payout

Thank youi! I just started back Online 2 weeks ago.. I think when I first played the Story game back in 2020 - best game ever.. I tried online and was like nah, not worth the grind. Currently I am on 300, but still struggling with gold so I can purchase a role. _ think the highest I had was 600 but I purchased the weapons from your other video. I am on level 15. So the video is a huge help!!
Nice video! - My favorite money makers are the collector (which is my main way), trader and also hunting for a butcher and/or Gus. - As for gold, I usually do daily challenges, reset awards every time I can, collect treasure maps and I do Call to Arms alone (more challenge!).
horse races are so fun, i really wish they put more thought into how the payout works because i'd love to do them regularly for MORE than just the fun of it lol
thanks for this, also I think rockstar had an idea for the backwards payout system, like more time spent more experience? Makes sense, right, you spend more time doing something you'll learn more. But i think the IDEA behind the money and gold was that by the time you complete it so many other people would be tasked with it, atleast with bounty hunting, that the price for bringing him in went up, it doesnt make any sense, I hate it, but i think there was a concept
He has to keep milking the RDO cow until it’s completely dried up, dead, and barren. It has been for a long time but those pitiful TH-cam checks will keep coming as long as he keeps pumping out the same video every couple weeks.
If you having trouble picking between collector or bounty hunter role I say pick bounty role since you get gold and money plus the legendary bounties pay decent if you get trader your mostly be running around the map collecting items plus you can't get every item until you get the shovel and metal detector for trader
On that Land of Opp mossion (stolen art) if you have the higher level (faster) horse go after the farthest rider but lasso the others off thier horse as you pass them.
okay i came to this cause i wanted to make a new outfit and needed some money but holy shit this helped me out in more ways because im gonna be honest i had no idea about any of these open world mission types like the blood money missions the call to arm missions none of that ive literally only done bounty hunts for my like 16 hours(in game playtime) in and my 2 friends who've started playing recently have just been doing them with me and now that i know about these we should be able to help stave off boredom since we now we know we dont *have* to just sit there doing bounty hunts for hours on end
Cat the daily challenges would be good for someone in some aspects for beginners just depending on what they had for the day we’ll say you have to go pick up five herbs or eat five food, entrées or something like that this last month I just started a new character, and I made almost at least 200 bars close to it, but I had done other things along with this to do that. Yes, I do have all the roles but I really grind for that money for the gold.
Not having played red dead 2 single player, I was confused AF when I first started. Most of my leveling came from just hunting and selling to the butcher lol

Cat by the way, if you buy the Maps from Madame Nazar, you can pick up sets I talked to rockstar about that and I said you guys that ain’t working the last time we had the naturalist and you have to buy those trinkets from Gus. I said something about the collectibles that you have to get Last year when I had to do it on a different character it literally took me three days to find just one particular collectible that you needed and I said something to them I said that’s just entirely too much for so little so this year I guess they’ve done something about that to change it. My characters name is Harley and on him he’s new I started him up about the month ago, just did the collectibles for that and they are not randoms whenever you go get Nazar’s maps
I do recommend bounty hunting first but I have to admit waiting on time to tick down to the last seconds can be that little bit of annoying process kinda still wish it was the other way around
But this month there was an exception. Fishing was op. Filled my hunting wagon with 5 pikes near valentine and loaded one more onto the horse. I made around $1000 an hour. Better than any role. 🎣

You speak from my soul, i did quit the game after 3 free roam missions. The only way back in the game for me if there would be a gold glitch that i can buy roles and play the real missions.
You have to craft all of the tier 3 tonics. The pamphlets are available to purchase at any fence such as the ones in Saint Denis, Emerald Ranch and Thieves' Landing. The pamphlets are also pretty expensive. The only one worth buying is the Special Health Cure.
@blaine1987 Thanks because I knew you had to craft the tier 3's I just didn't remember if they were at the fence or if that was just the leather one. I was just curious because I'm working on my slow and steady build and my deadeye drains s little to quickly for my liking but I should be fine

My advice for anyone wanting to make money the collector roll and for gold do as many daily’s bounty hunter roll treasure chest and grind your ass off you’ll have more money then am you can spend use the collector map and the Rdo map
Each time i try to start a resupply mission from cripps table the mission just doesn’t start and everything else becomes unavailable, missions, activities etc…. Does anyone know how to fix?
Does fun count for nothing? Some of these activities are super fun and after you have a couple roles, you don't ever need to worry about money or gold again. But yes, the initial grind can be frustrating...
Its funny i agree fishing would be bad for money but this month it was actually amazing because you could easily make over 1000 an hour in a solo session just fishing in Blackwater

At least let us create solo private lobbies like in GTAO, this is near unplayable but it has so much potential I don't want to skip out on Red Dead Online, tbh it just makes me want to cheat a little bit at the beginning to get some start capital so I can at least afford food for myself and my horse like jesus christ holy shit.
I can not start the Blood Money missions. There is no icon in Saint Denis for it on my map. I have been to the location where the cutscene begins but there is nothing there. Have I missed something?

When I first started I got 600$ when I logged on the second day idk how but with that I was able to buy a good gun and some other much needed stuff I was wondering if that is something that randomly happens?
I dont really think the gold pay out is based on if you win bc i re-download the game so my brother can play it and i was playing the few game modes online and actually wnen i won got 0.16 gold and i had 9 kills i was second on the board and then the next 2 games i lost n was getting headshotted left n right bc he only has starter guns and i actually got 0.20 and 0.30 on lost games 💀

And what's the point of making money in a game full of cheaters and Dev that don't care anymore ? The easiest way to make money in RDO is a trainer, it's free and you definitely won't get banned as long as you don't touch gold.

I cannot keep guns clean for one minute. I thought it might just be me because I tried searching Google, rdo youtube channels, Rockstar forums and reddit and found nothing. I posted the problem on reddit and since, have one other player who is also experiencing this and took video. I will link reddit post and video in reply to this in case the links trigger the spam filter. I posted it to r/reddeadonline last night , title - High level can't get guns to stay clean for 2 seconds, anyone else? Here is the entire post so you can see everything I tried and exactly what's happening. - Idk what's up, been happening for a few days. Like I said, I'm no noob, lvl 478, I fully understand how the gun cleaning and wear mechanics work and that sometimes when you go in/out of missions or lobbies, weird things can happen there but I literally can't get them to stay clean for ANY amount of time. I clean them and they're good, even a second later. But wait just a minute, check and all guns back to the same level they were before cleaning. Whether I change lobbies or don't, whether I go private or not, restarts, nothing works. I'm on PC, because it's all I have/can afford and deep in my soul, I must believe I deserve punishment. Full version from Rockstar, not steam, cuz Im dumb. I think it's been happening since the patch update. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up or is experiencing it too. I tried searching and saw nothing. Sorry if it's a dumb question and thanks for the time. Edit- Here's my reply comments detailing the rest of what I have subsequently tried and my slow descent into madness... I just timed it, cleaned rifle and shotgun, both fully clean. Every now and then, something might stay clean completely at random but not all of them and usually, it's none of them. I cannot figure out any Rhyme or Reason to it and I've never had it happen before in this game. Edit- I apologize for the misleading headline. Apparently, I can, indeed, keep my guns clean for 2 seconds... just not 52. . Well, I cleaned and went to CTA, guns were dirty when I got there and for some reason, the Mausers I had selected were replaced with Navy's. I fired some rounds with the Navy's just to see for the heck of it if they came out dirty, because they were the only ones I can remember that magically stayed clean one time. Then I realized that none of the ammo boxes would let me pick up ammo. Tried the shotgun and rifle too, and did a level, still couldn't pick the ammo up from any box on the map. Quit back to free roam, still dirty, the exact same amount dirty. And the Navy's are still totally clean. Tried cleaning the others again and they stayed clean for about 40 seconds... then the Same. Exact. Amount. Dirty. Again. I don't understand. *Weeping only on the inside like a real cowboy. . Sweet Mother of God. So, I also tried getting the Gunsmith to clean them. Tried cleaning, storing on saddle, fleeing horse to stable, leaving the lobby and got back the same dirty guns. Then I tried cleaning them, putting them in the weapon locker, going to my horse, boom, the guns are back on the horse and same level dirty again. Tried multiple times. FML. FML. FML. . I'm guessing it might have something to do with the game files on the PC but when I say I am out of my depth, oh boy, do I mean it. The last time I had half a clue what I was doing with a computer, the internet made a funny sound for about 18 minutes while you connected. I keep all of the drivers updated, nvidea graphics card updated 2 weeks ago, use nord vpn, weekly scans, clean up, defrag, etc. I'd love any advice anyone has. Appreciate it. . More info, the other player is on PC thru Epic Games. I'm on PC, full version thru R* games launcher. Of course, I have tried contacting Rockstar Support multiple ways and nothing so far.

Could you make a video about the previous outlaw pass and ask rockstar to either bring them back or to sell the items in madam Nazar please! I like rdr online but rockstar really need to spend some time looking at making a lot of improvements this game could become something amazing but rockstar needs too let GTA online rest now as they have GTA 6 coming out in the next couple of years but if they actually put some thought and effort in to rdr online it could become an amazing game
The moment to hear “pvp” I immediately think “fuck that shit” rdr2 online is FLOODED with hackers every other lobby has AT LEAST one hacker. With free roam you can at least get by unnoticed, but in pvp it’s MISERABLEthey everage experience I’ve had is “spawn-die-spawn-die-spawn-die”.
actually you can make alot of money fishing if you use the special lake lure and fish right next to the butcher in black water them large fish you catch are worth $21 a pop and you can catch them relatively quickly and sense you are right next to the butcher you can just run over sell it then run back over and over or if you get yourself into a solo lobby you can catch a bunch of them toss them on the ground and then sell them after you've caught a few of them. the only problem is it can get repetitive and boring after an hour.
cat we need to talk about WAYS to farm the kills awards, revolvers, pistols, shotguns, repeaters etc... i found a way that it's kinda good for this... in thieves landing, before you enter you can take cover on a tree and shoot towards the settlement, the npc's spawn there and yuou're just out of reach, so they spawn in, you kill them and they just keep coming

@@DreamerYB Normally i say collector. Start off focusing on pentacles and swords and collect them all with the online map to guide you. Then you can cash them all on and buy shovel and metal detector. From there you can hunt for all the collectibles. That will earn a LOT of cash, especially if you are patient and wait to fill sets before turning in. For gold at first the best way is usually grinding BM missions and waiting out the timer for full payout. Right now though with bounty hunter you can earn quite a bit of gold in a short period. The cash will be better as well. Get prestige asap and grind the hell out of infamous bounties for the quickest gold. Then you will have more than enough to get collector role. With any luck that role might be next months special as well.

Moonshine by far. Set it up spend the time playing poker and fishing. Enjoy the scenery. Shoot my secondary character restarts everytime I hit lvl 100. I just enjoy the scenery and races. Depends on the size of the lobby but races i get between 8$ - 50+$. Ya gotta win though.

The collector role gives the best amount of money overall and offcourse when it is double xp/money you can become too rich very easy. With too rich I am talking about 'having more money than needed' since there will be nothing to invest on after you got all you need and stuff you even do not need. Still love to be a millionair now in this game and with false hope I have maybe we ever can get a house and other properties or some. Or just extra stable slots so we can buy more horses.
Rockstar doesn’t have the slightest idea how to make a multiplayer game its only mindless meaningless grind thats get boring soo quick, they do their best to make the game even less enjoyable in online mode i hate it
I just got the bounty hunter and it’s so annoying and redundant, having to listen to and slowly follow Npc and deal with 50 enemy’s on horses while the bounty runs away or clunky movement makes me fall off the train or something then having to wait for 30 minutes to get max XP. It’s not that fun. Sucks because I feel like there’s so much potential with RDO. It’s so cool but game crashes, cheaters, and repetitive time waisting missions make it rough for low levels. I’m at level 26 and 6 bounty

Thank youi! I just started back Online 2 weeks ago.. I think when I first played the Story game back in 2020 - best game ever.. I tried online and was like nah, not worth the grind. Currently I am on 300, but still struggling with gold so I can purchase a role. _ think the highest I had was 600 but I purchased the weapons from your other video. I am on level 15. So the video is a huge help!!

thanks for this, also I think rockstar had an idea for the backwards payout system, like more time spent more experience? Makes sense, right, you spend more time doing something you'll learn more. But i think the IDEA behind the money and gold was that by the time you complete it so many other people would be tasked with it, atleast with bounty hunting, that the price for bringing him in went up, it doesnt make any sense, I hate it, but i think there was a concept

If you having trouble picking between collector or bounty hunter role I say pick bounty role since you get gold and money plus the legendary bounties pay decent if you get trader your mostly be running around the map collecting items plus you can't get every item until you get the shovel and metal detector for trader
On that Land of Opp mossion (stolen art) if you have the higher level (faster) horse go after the farthest rider but lasso the others off thier horse as you pass them.
okay i came to this cause i wanted to make a new outfit and needed some money but holy shit this helped me out in more ways because im gonna be honest i had no idea about any of these open world mission types like the blood money missions the call to arm missions none of that ive literally only done bounty hunts for my like 16 hours(in game playtime) in and my 2 friends who've started playing recently have just been doing them with me and now that i know about these we should be able to help stave off boredom since we now we know we dont *have* to just sit there doing bounty hunts for hours on end
Cat the daily challenges would be good for someone in some aspects for beginners just depending on what they had for the day we’ll say you have to go pick up five herbs or eat five food, entrées or something like that this last month I just started a new character, and I made almost at least 200 bars close to it, but I had done other things along with this to do that. Yes, I do have all the roles but I really grind for that money for the gold.
Not having played red dead 2 single player, I was confused AF when I first started. Most of my leveling came from just hunting and selling to the butcher lol

Cat by the way, if you buy the Maps from Madame Nazar, you can pick up sets I talked to rockstar about that and I said you guys that ain’t working the last time we had the naturalist and you have to buy those trinkets from Gus. I said something about the collectibles that you have to get Last year when I had to do it on a different character it literally took me three days to find just one particular collectible that you needed and I said something to them I said that’s just entirely too much for so little so this year I guess they’ve done something about that to change it. My characters name is Harley and on him he’s new I started him up about the month ago, just did the collectibles for that and they are not randoms whenever you go get Nazar’s maps
I do recommend bounty hunting first but I have to admit waiting on time to tick down to the last seconds can be that little bit of annoying process kinda still wish it was the other way around

You have to craft all of the tier 3 tonics. The pamphlets are available to purchase at any fence such as the ones in Saint Denis, Emerald Ranch and Thieves' Landing. The pamphlets are also pretty expensive. The only one worth buying is the Special Health Cure.
@blaine1987 Thanks because I knew you had to craft the tier 3's I just didn't remember if they were at the fence or if that was just the leather one. I was just curious because I'm working on my slow and steady build and my deadeye drains s little to quickly for my liking but I should be fine

Bit late but it’s the Thorogood, level 30 unlock from Bounty Hunter role.
The story is cool and definitely has potential for future update but yeah I want a wrap up of it
My advice for anyone wanting to make money the collector roll and for gold do as many daily’s bounty hunter roll treasure chest and grind your ass off you’ll have more money then am you can spend use the collector map and the Rdo map
Each time i try to start a resupply mission from cripps table the mission just doesn’t start and everything else becomes unavailable, missions, activities etc…. Does anyone know how to fix?

Some of these activities are super fun and after you have a couple roles, you don't ever need to worry about money or gold again.
But yes, the initial grind can be frustrating...
Its funny i agree fishing would be bad for money but this month it was actually amazing because you could easily make over 1000 an hour in a solo session just fishing in Blackwater

Wilderness camps are still broken, at least for me, a PC player. Setting one up causes my entire game to crash.

I can not start the Blood Money missions.
There is no icon in Saint Denis for it on my map.
I have been to the location where the cutscene begins but there is nothing there.

I dont really think the gold pay out is based on if you win bc i re-download the game so my brother can play it and i was playing the few game modes online and actually wnen i won got 0.16 gold and i had 9 kills i was second on the board and then the next 2 games i lost n was getting headshotted left n right bc he only has starter guns and i actually got 0.20 and 0.30 on lost games 💀

And what's the point of making money in a game full of cheaters and Dev that don't care anymore ? The easiest way to make money in RDO is a trainer, it's free and you definitely won't get banned as long as you don't touch gold.

I cannot keep guns clean for one minute. I thought it might just be me because I tried searching Google, rdo youtube channels, Rockstar forums and reddit and found nothing. I posted the problem on reddit and since, have one other player who is also experiencing this and took video. I will link reddit post and video in reply to this in case the links trigger the spam filter. I posted it to r/reddeadonline last night , title - High level can't get guns to stay clean for 2 seconds, anyone else?

I think it's been happening since the patch update. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up or is experiencing it too. I tried searching and saw nothing. I just timed it, cleaned rifle and shotgun, both fully clean. Check at ten seconds, clean. 30 seconds, clean, FORTY FOUR SECONDS right back to the same dirty levels as before. Changed lobbies, same thing.
I have tested it every way I can think of. Every now and then, something might stay clean completely at random but not all of them and usually, it's none of them. I cannot figure out any Rhyme or Reason to it and I've never had it happen before in this game.
Edit- I apologize for the misleading headline. Apparently, I can, indeed, keep my guns clean for 2 seconds... just not 52.

I fired some rounds with the Navy's just to see for the heck of it if they came out dirty, because they were the only ones I can remember that magically stayed clean one time. Then I realized that none of the ammo boxes would let me pick up ammo. Tried the shotgun and rifle too, and did a level, still couldn't pick the ammo up from any box on the map. Quit back to free roam, still dirty, the exact same amount dirty. And the Navy's are still totally clean. Tried cleaning the others again and they stayed clean for about 40 seconds... then the Same. Exact. Amount. Dirty. Again.
I don't understand.

Sweet Mother of God. So, I also tried getting the Gunsmith to clean them. Tried cleaning, storing on saddle, fleeing horse to stable, leaving the lobby and got back the same dirty guns.
Then I tried cleaning them, putting them in the weapon locker, going to my horse, boom, the guns are back on the horse and same level dirty again. Tried multiple times.
FML. FML. FML.

The last time I had half a clue what I was doing with a computer, the internet made a funny sound for about 18 minutes while you connected. More info, the other player is on PC thru Epic Games. I'm on PC, full version thru R* games launcher. Of course, I have tried contacting Rockstar Support multiple ways and nothing so far.

I like rdr online but rockstar really need to spend some time looking at making a lot of improvements this game could become something amazing but rockstar needs too let GTA online rest now as they have GTA 6 coming out in the next couple of years but if they actually put some thought and effort in to rdr online it could become an amazing game

The moment to hear “pvp” I immediately think “fuck that shit” rdr2 online is FLOODED with hackers every other lobby has AT LEAST one hacker. With free roam you can at least get by unnoticed, but in pvp it’s MISERABLEthey everage experience I’ve had is “spawn-die-spawn-die-spawn-die”.

actually you can make alot of money fishing if you use the special lake lure and fish right next to the butcher in black water them large fish you catch are worth $21 a pop and you can catch them relatively quickly and sense you are right next to the butcher you can just run over sell it then run back over and over or if you get yourself into a solo lobby you can catch a bunch of them toss them on the ground and then sell them after you've caught a few of them. the only problem is it can get repetitive and boring after an hour.

cat we need to talk about WAYS to farm the kills awards, revolvers, pistols, shotguns, repeaters etc... i found a way that it's kinda good for this... in thieves landing, before you enter you can take cover on a tree and shoot towards the settlement, the npc's spawn there and yuou're just out of reach, so they spawn in, you kill them and they just keep coming
