Man I was a soul food restaurant inside of Indian Springs Mall...I can't remember the name but that shit was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I used to catch the bus from 27th and Van Brunt KCMO to Indian Springs Mall KCK for that food.
My wife and I are moving there, on the Missouri side that is lol. And we loved this video!

Not Slaps. Its good but you need to go to the places that built the legend of KC bbq if you are visiting before you do the lesser known ones like Slaps or Rosedale or LCs. First, it's gotta be Gates or Arthur Bryants. Then Joes second. Then Jack Stacks. Followed by LCs or Q39. Then they get to do the newer/smaller local amazing places like Slaps or Rosedale or any of the other awesome places. But first, the legends who built the legends.
Gates quality has gone way down for me. Joe's is still #1 but Slaps is a close second.
@@kckgtp I 100% agree. Joes is and always has been my favorite. Arthur Bryant started the legend and he had 2 apprentices. They went on to start both Gates and Haywards accordingly. That is what built the legend of KC bbq. Haywards isn't even on the list anymore and as you say, Gates has unfortunately declined. You have to try what built the house first though. Then its on to the best, JOES ALL DAY BABY. Slapps is awesome and is definitely one of the first that should be tried. Along with Q39 they have definitely made a huge name for themselves. Cheers.
Joe's is overrated. I've always thought so like gates.
