Good video! Just make sure you compare it against the instructions on their website. The video leaves out some important items that are covered in the online instructions. Using just the online instructions would be difficult, and using just a video would be difficult. Using them both together makes the job much easier. A few times during the installation, I had to reach out to LOD customer service. They were pretty quick to respond to all my questions. Just finished the install and it seems like a really solid product. I can’t wait to try it out under actual trail conditions.

Hey thanks for making a video install guide! I suggest you guys post torque specs somewhere also. For everyone doing this install I would recommend test fitting the bumper then drilling the holes in the chassis with the bumper removed again. Got the 1.5" socket at autozone for $9.

You need a JL video, and you need to double check your safety chain bracket on the JL bumper. Not a good fit.

Any chance y'all could make an install video for the JL? Seems different enough with the backup camera, etc... to warrant its own video.

No instructions sent with the carrier/bumper combo, also, no instructions regarding how to set up the round lights in the bumper.

How durable/longevity is the latch and rubber pucks? considering me for instance, I do lots of outdoors and would like the gadgets that go along with it and i will open and close on many occassions. Will they wear down? I love this bumper... Thanks for the upload sincerely.

    • @lodoffroad

The pucks should not wear out too much, the latch is zinc coated, so it is also very resistant to corrosion. Both should last you years

I just install my shorty rear bumper and I can’t get this 4 inch bolts in on the side as the bumper blocks access. Also the washers overlap. Any advice?

You get this figured out? I just ordered a shorty for my JK

@@overlandfamilyman I shaved the washers a little to avoid overlap and then fed the lower bolt the other way, worked fine.

canonphoto I guess they don’t reply to the videos they post. I was thinking the same thing. I like the looks of raw material.

@@coldsteel86 Yes, it would be nice if they would respond and/or include instructions with their equipment. I guess they are too busy counting all the money they charge for these parts and expect you to just know how they all fit together.
