    There's just something about my sks that just seems right. There built like a ruger gp100. They'll shoot till the end of time. I like it more than my AR and ak47.

      I don’t like it more than an AK or AR but the hunting style stock is somewhat easier to shoot

    I bought my first one in the early 1990's for 69.00 I instantly fell in love with the sks. I have 2 now and if I find a good deal I will have 3 lol

      Good deals on these are hard to find, $600-1000 each near me right now

      @@crankygunreviews They just don't jam, and rarely break. It's a rifle you can depend on. Simple, ergonomic, rugged, easy to disassemble and clean , it's still encountered on battlefields to this day. It also fires a cartridge that's suitable to medium sized game. I've seen a torture test where one was run over by a track hoe, burned with a flame thrower until the wood was completely gone and it still fired.
      Lots of good firearms out there, but very few that are this rugged and dependable.

    Same feeling once you know & shoot SKS.... excellent weapon design (1945) between M1 Garand & AK.... good day

    Yours looks crazy similar to mine! I even have the exact same sling, but the only difference is that mine is a spiker now. Originally came with a knife bayonet like yours, but I added a newer stock that had the spike cutout and the aforementioned spike bayonet. It remains the only one of my guns I'll never sell! The easiest way to describe it for country boys like me is that it's a semiauto lever gun, as it's ammo is entirely similar to 30-30. Great gun for medium to larger sized game, and well worth it's price!

      I like the blade bayonets better, they’re not as common. If I find another SKS for around $500 I’ll buy it in a heartbeat, they’re usually $700-1000 near me

    The KNS cross hair front sight is the best I've come across. With a peep rear it's like a 1 pwr scope. I use it on my AK47, SKSs, AR15s even on 40mm & 3" cannons. It's the best by far. Try it, ul like it.😊

    Very nice and practical review (I subscribed to your channel, today!). I live in MASS and am restricted in regards to semi-auto rifles. I'd love one of these (if I could find a nice one)!

      Cabelas in Hudson had a really nice one but it was like $900- unfortunately the days of inexpensive “ compliant” semis are past

    I live in Kanadistan, and this is one of the few semi auto rifles that our glorious leader will let his citizens own.
    You mentioned they are not very accurate, but I have heard several people say they are roughly 2-3 MOA with decent ammo. That doesn't seem too bad for any military rifle.

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, in my hands it’s not that accurate with the military sights. Maybe my bore isn’t that great either
