Seems like with the hours of use your sawmill experiences the reduction in operating and maintenance costs suggest to me that you must be getting close to a breakeven for your company to go electric. You did a great job explaining the method you used for quarter sawing a log in this video, Thanks. Ray
Thx ray I would like an LT 70 electric next for sure. This year's goal is to get the moulder planer operating and profitable. Thx for watching and commenting 👍
I'm over her in Bristol TN I got 21 acres with mostly chestnut oak and maybe half as much white oak anywhere from 3 ft diameter and down...I can't judge it good but my imagination says I got something here....I'm disabled veteran and don't need sympathy but if I could sell these trees maybe I could get me a newer used trailer to live in and a used pickup. If anyone is interested reply to this message. I like the bearded folk😊
You need to talk to your local forestry agents they can help you find a log buyer to value the timber, not a logger . White Oak logs are bringing a premium for whiskey barrel staves. I just Googled Tennessee Dept.of Agricultural they are the ones to contact. Thx for watching and commenting 👍
Love the support of the local farmers.
Thx Dean were losing too many way to fast.
Thx for watching
Very good explanation on this! Nice!
Glad you liked it!
Nice looking white oak. I'll have to try sawing that way. Nice video
Thx I hope the video was helpful.
Nicely done. I do it the same way. Seems to be easier for me anyway.
I agree thx for watching

Nice Oak and a lot of stress in it
Yes, I had to recut each quarter to make sure it was flat.
Huge amount of stress in that oak on both planes
Yes, and it must be cut flat again before quatersawing thx for watching and commenting
