When I asked if small step would make you win on the spot, the BGA dev said no. The win check happens only at the end of the day. So in this game you shouldn't have won and their would be a tiebreaker instead

I am not sure about that. There have been multiple conversations in the official Discord with some of the game developers where they suggest it will work like in the video. I guess we won't know for sure until they lock in the official rules. I think I might prefer though if it works how you described!

So it is confirmed that you win on the spot and not during dusk? That is a huge ruling point because opponent would have won both expedition and the subsequent tiebreak

We are still waiting on the official rulebook to come out to be able to say for sure. From what I've read in the rules channel though on the official Discord it sounds like it will either be on the spot or at the end of the phase which would be before dusk in both cases.
