How far Miku has come since this great concert. I went to the IA concert at AX2015 and thought to check this out again.
I went to this when i was 13, good times. i still have the poster hanging on my bedroom wall, and the ticket + glow stick in my little memory box

だいぶ前だけどこの歌と映像をNHKで見て初めて"初音ミク"が支持される理由がわかった。
バックから投影される影響でミクが光り輝く瞬間がある。それが彼女のこの世に生まれた新しさと純粋さをぱっと理解させてくれた。鳥肌が立つようで新しい世界を実感させてくれた。
何もかもが新しい中、日本語で歌う彼女をLAの人々は歓迎してくれている。素晴らしい！！

超可愛い～
これって2011年だから、まだ解像度も比較的低いし投影機材の性能も今ほど高くないけど、感謝祭モデルの動作や表情もすごく完成されているし、バーチャルアイドルならではの多様な衣装チェンジも効いていてすごく良い。
カメラワークや編集も綺麗で、特に最後の「ハジメテノオト」では、このモデルならではの繊細な表情をきちんと捉えていて素晴らしい。
DVDよりもBDの方が圧倒的に画質が良い。その分、ディラッドボードへの最前列VIP席の仏頂面の映り込みとかも鮮明にみえてしまうけれど(笑)。
2014年にLAとNYでやった「Miku Expo」ライブの映像も見たけど、そもそも選曲がミスマッチのような気がするし、セットも正面から見る事しか想定していないような、ひどい構成だった。
海外でのライブは、台湾も香港も関西もインドネシアもLAもNYも、「MIKUNOPOLIS 2011」もしくは「感謝祭 2012」または「Magical Mirai 2013」でやり直してあげて欲しい。お願いです。

I honestly thought that the concert in America wouldn't be as good as the ones in Japan. But I was wrong. This is amazing, and she looks so real. I also really like the stage she's on.
Miku, Rin, Len, and Luka have got to come to NYC! I'd so go to watch that!
Aaah I finally found it on youtube! Gosh attending this concert was the best. Being amoungst so many fans was so great, I felt like part of a family. And seeing all the Vocaloids up there was so stunning! It was amazing and definately one of the best nights of my life!

K-popの場合は進出先の言語を使って韓国であることを消し去ってるけど、日本は日本語のまま日本文化を海外輸出してるところがスゴい!!!
コンサートのDVDは余計な編集しないで正面からのカメラだけで撮ってもらいたいです。
俺は正面から見れる。とか、いろんな角度から見れるてきな切り替えモード機能があったらいいと思う。
Does anyone else get sad when you know the concert is nearing the end? The concert is just so amazing and Hatsune Miku is just so lovable that you don't want to the show to end. I miss seeing Miku in 3D already :-/
Sitting and waving those light sticks throughout the length of the concert can't be all too comfortable.
It is so cool how realistic they made Miku's movements and clothes. Technology is really interesting!
Good news for those of you that would love to have the DVD! Aniplex USA announced that they will be releasing the Mikunopolis DVD in America, this year! (:

I was there (somewhere in the crowd)! I still have my Nokia Theatre ticket from the concert and the Miku seat pad they gave out after the concert :)

There really needs to be another Hatsune Miku concert in America. Everyone thought she would come back to AX this year, but she didn't. But, with her English voicebank coming out soon, and Project Diva F coming out in America this August, another Hatsune Miku concert in America would be a great follow-up. It would be even better than Mikunopolis, because the technology of the concerts has improved, and she could sing and talk in more clear English, because of her English voicebank.

The vocaloid community is a community unlike any other and most certainly the most unique in the music industry. It is a community not based on politics or conquests or any of a million other base reasons for people to come together but a community who goal is to promote a unique piece of technology that inspires young people to make songs and artistic expressions and then share those songs and expressions with the world no matter if they are rich or poor, pretty or ugly.
that was the most INCREDIBLE concert & the glow sticks make the show! Everyone should have the opportunity to see her live, it is more way more fun than it looks. they've done an awesome job w/her performances & there is no diva attitude! I hope Toyota brings her back to LA next summer cause I would never miss a Miku or Vocaloid concert!
They actually brought back the original people who performed at the japanese 39's giving concert, and added an orchestra. I must look for the next concert. Oh and in regards to Miguel Garcia's question, the DVD and Blu-Ray will come out in about a month or two.
Everybody has been demanding it for 2 years, and Project Diva F coming out in America showed that we actually have a voice. It was because of over 20,000 of us saying we wanted it to come to America that it did come. So, I don't think that everybody asking for another concert in America is a lost cause. We're being heard, so don't stop, now. I believe that another one will come next year, if we keep asking for it, and because of Miku's English voicebank coming out, and Project Diva F.
this definately needs to come to new york city. It would be on the news and everything!

this just left me speechless.
guys, the place was very loud. The reason you don't hear the people going crazy is the music was insanely loud, like to the point you couldn't hear yourself think. Not to mention, the music is piped right into the video. They didn't have a mic for crowd reaction so you can't hear the crowd unless they scream so loud you hear it through a band member's mic. Believe me, I was there, the enthusiasm for the songs was much better than this video makes it out to be.
That is so awesome!!!!!!!!! I want to go see that!

@StrongJunior1 get the blu-ray in December when it comes out. If you think this is good, that blu-ray is going to blow your mind. Just the little bit they showed at NYcomicon was amazing. On an interesting note, the Popipo song they did at Mikunopolis had a pretty large english component and I think the concert version might be the best version of that song I've seen.
I've been to a lot of panels this year related to vocaloid and let me tell you: there is as much, if not more, respect and admiration given to the composers, artists, band members, programmers and other behind the scenes people as there is shown to miku. How many other singers and their labels can say that? Do people even care about the backup band? Vocaloid fans do; that's why the 2010 band is there on that stage in L.A. and that's as much the point of this community as a singing hologram.

I cant believe that there were some people were sitting down during the gig. Show some spirit people!
Miku acts as the symbol of that community, a central focus around which they community can gather. It is inspiring because that is what technology should be, a way to bring people together to see what we can do as individuals when given the proper tools and focus. In the west we use technology to oppress and destroy (body scanners and combat drones) while in the east, there is still the hope that technology can just be good, fun entertainment.
Got the blu-ray last friday and must say, Japanese know how to ship stuff; Tokyo to New York City in 48 hours, amazing stuff and the blu-ray is crystal clear. Would have been nice if there were subtitles so I could show those less fluent in Japanese but otherwise, it's of very good quality and yes, people did sing along you can almost hear them during Popipo during the "Suya Suya, Dote Dote" part. Overall, it was just an incredible concert and hope she comes back real soon (and to the east coast
On the Anime Expo Facbook page, they said that SEGA and Crypton expressed a STRONG possibility of a concert at Nokia theater next year.
This place was packed, but if you live in American you didn't want to miss this!

Whoa, I posted this comment over 2 months ago...I think that I now know that Romeo and Cinderella is Miku's originally (I have gotten so many comments saying so). The only reason that I said that it was a Rin and Len song is because I had only heard their version at that point. But thank you, for being about the fourth person to correct my old error. By the way, I'm not an idiot. I was just mislead.

Anyone else see the Sapporo concert yesterday in theatres? That thing was truly amazing. God, the technology has come so friggin far and 5PB used it to its utmost. The models, while more cartoon like were actually more entertaining than SEGA's shows. Hey SEGA, you guys have got to get that Sapporo blu-ray and watch it and learn. If you showed something like that in the US, all the critics would be silenced.
@Monstarrgasim the Blu ray version of this concert fixed the audio, so the audience really sounds alot louder that what you hear now. The stream version [here] has just muffled the sound to make it easier to hear Miku.
I wish I went! Aww...If it's true the next concert is going to be in NY or somewhere on that side of the US...promise you'll come back to Cali, Miku!! Please! I'll DEFINATLY GO!!
I was looking through my inbox today and I found this post, reminds me how stupid I was a year or two ago. :D
I think Miku would do very well in New York. It will be a pain flying all that stuff from Japan to New York, but I think it might be worth it; she might be able to get the Europeans to cross the pond and really pull some big numbers. Here's to seeing Miku and the others on Broadway with signs filling Times Square. At that point, the world just might be hers, lol.
